Hi All! Sorry I missed chat. Today was our 21st wedding anniversary and the whole day just got away from us. I took the day off from work to do something special but ended up running errands and doing some catch up on paperwork, laundry, etc.

My office had decided to close on Monday so I have a very long weekend. We don't have many plans except a cook-out with friends on Tuesday. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

Happy Birthday Cassie!!

Must have been a lot of cancellations today because our waitlist came through too!! :dancer:

We are now staying at BWV Friday and Saturday before the cruise instead of SSR!! And we'll be at BCV Thurs and Friday after, which is exactly what I wanted!

OUR waitlist came through too.....the one night we needed at SSR. Didn't take it. :(

Good Morning everyone. I finally got everything washed and packed last night, just need to get it in the car now.

Everyone have a fun and safe 4th of July

We're all packed and Bruce is ready to bring Penny to the vet's for boarding, so I'm shutting the computer down. We'll have the laptop, so I'm sure I'll check in with some crazy in-law stories!

Everyone traveling be safe!

Happy belated anniversary Annmarie and Tom!

Safe travels Gail & John (and family) as well as Diana & Bruce (and family) and anyone else going away this holiday weekend! :drive:

Congrats to everyone whose waitlists came through! :cheer2:

Yoohoo, Julie, here's the info you're waiting to hear!!

Cameron loved camp and had a blast!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 When I asked if he's going back next year, he said "yeah" like it was never even a thought to not return. They had a lot of fun and he earned 4 merit badges. His favorite thing was the rifle shooting (I could have guessed that based on his postcard ;) ). When I asked him why he wrote twice on his postcard that he missed us, he replied that he didn't know what else to write and that he really didn't miss us at all. :rolleyes1 I'll have to help him over the year on how to write a better post card so that Mom doesn't worry when it gets delivered at home next summer.

The only "negative" I heard from the Scoutmaster was that there was a food fight one night when the leaders had a dinner meeting and the boys dined in a separate area. Cameron said it wasn't his fault, he wasn't quite sure how it started, but it was fun. :rotfl2: Cameron said it was a better use of the food as it wasn't that great tasting anyway.

Oh, and he was much too busy to bother to take the disposable cameras out of his bag and take any pictures. So, I'm hoping the leaders took some that they will pass along.

The one time they went fishing Cameron told me he caught a big bass. When I asked how big, he measured his hands to be about 1 1/2 feet long, and then shrunk them down to the size of about 1.5" ---- I guess the fish were just not biting for him. But, it's better to catch a baby fish than nothing I guess. :fish:

I won't tell Cameron how much I worried and missed him but now that he's home, I feel much better. I slept like a log last night knowing he was under our roof. :)

Last night we took in our Thumper sketch and our Pananma Canal Litho from Ducky Williams. Plus, we are finally getting our Thomas Kinkade Disneyland glicee framed. The kinkade is costing WAY too much money but it should be so COOL when it is done!:artist:

When everything returns I will try to take photos and figure out how to post them.

Have a great pre-4th of July weekend.:goodvibes

Cindy - great news that he had a good time. Also great news that you finally got a good nights sleep!

Good morning all....opps how time does fly when your stuck in bed, LOL!
First :yay: Happy Birthday to Cassie :yay: and  Happy Anniversary to Annmarie and Tom
Does anyone have any ideas where to stay the night before the cruise. We won't get in until like midnight, hotel at the airport has no availability. Should we stay in orlando or head right down to the port area. Anyone know of nice but inexpensive places anywhere along the way?

:cheer2: Happy belated Anniversary Annmarie and Tom! :cheer2:

Safe travels to anyone going away this holiday weekend! :drive: :moped:

Congrats to everyone whose waitlists came through! :woohoo:

 Yea Cindy Cameron is home and in one piece. Nick's Scout camp is the last week of the month. Can't wait to see how that turns out.

We will be home this weekend. Nick will be in the town parade with his Boy Scout Troop then working the concession stand they run during the 4th festivities.
Mom & Dad leave Monday for WDW & Vero Beach. They were thinking of seeing the midnight showing of Pirates of The Caribean on the 6th at the AMC theatre on the 6th. Jeff will be home all week with Nick and I'm taking the 7th off so we can got see the movie! Can't wait to see Johnny Depp! I just love him as Jack Sparrow!

Cindy I am so glad to hear he had fun! It is a bit funny that "he didn't know what else to write" - such a trooper! We never took great photos at camp either, I think mom would have preferred we hire a photographer :rotfl2:

Have a great weekend to everyone who is leaving/has left!!!

Happy belated Anniversary Annmarie and Tom!

We are hanging around all weekend, Matt worked this morning and has to work Monday but I am off until Wed. We leave Thursday for Disney and our wedding planning so I will be spending the time off preparing.

I'd say stay NEAR the airport. You get in at midnight and you won't want to drive another hour to the port. Best fall into bed and get an early start.

That being said....the Hampton Inn near the airport is nice. We stayed there (twice) when we got in very late and the Hyatt was $$$$ for some reason (convention?)

Anyway, the Hampton shuttle was a phone call away--took about 10 minutes to come pick us up. Then a 10 minute ride and we were there! Free (and big) breakfast in the morning and the shuttle ride back to the airport to rent a car (or if you're taking the DCL bus) and it was easy peasy. You do have to sign up for a time for the return shuttle, but there were lots of times.

Good luck!

U TOP!!!
