Okay so now that I've written the paragraph above I guess this is a good question for the day . . . . Is there anything that you are doing on a regular basis (besides for this thread) to keep you excited about SSMC06?

I'll play! :)

Sadly, there isn't anything I do on a regular basis except for posting here and checking the main board for tips. There's a lot of good information over there -- I'm sure that a lot of the more seasoned cruisers feel more comfortable than us junior partners and don't feel the need. Even though we've sailed on SSMC05, I know I still have a lot to learn in the way of regular 4 day and 7 day cruises.

So, to me, the tips are priceless! :thumbsup2

DD just got home from a birthday/slumber party that was yesterday.

There were 8 girls sleeping over and they were picked up by a limo and taken to a small local amusement park and then out to dinner. The birthday girl turner 8 and they hired a limo!!!! Where do you go from there? Told DD there would be no limo for her next birthday!;)

Hello all, I have finally told the family that we are going on the member cruise--I was not going to tell them until September but my DS aged 9 fell off his bike and broke his arm both bones on Friday and may need surgery at the fracture is not very stable but they have it in a plaster cast from fingers to armpit and a f/u in 10 days to see if it has shifted or not. Since this ruins his summer sports camp--too risky for him to either play anything for fear of falling on arm or someone falling into him. Swimming is out for a least 2 wks (until we can get a waterproof cast) and the soccer team and water polo team are also out of the question for at least 6-8 weeks. He was really upset by this whole thing but quite brave so I felt I had to do something to try and cheer him up since he is pretty much sedentary for the next few weeks. The look on both DS 9 & 4 and hubby was great!. I am glad in a way that I told them as I was busting at the seam some days to tell them.

Now for the important question--we are going down a few days early and do not have any more DVC points left (we are staying at Boardwalk on points after the cruise) but need somewhere to stay pre-cruise--any suggestions?

Also, besides having to send our photo in and ordering some t-shirts, have I missed anything else that I am "supposed" to do. I rec'd a package in the mail last week from Disney about the cruise but I know that you all have some great stuff going and I am trying to keep up with it but it is not easy so please let me know.

We hired a limo for my dd's 16th Birthday. At that time it worked out to close to $20 per girl. We bought them Santa hats to wear (Dec Birthday), gave them a polaroid camera and a video camera. The driver was given a list of places he had to take them, they had to video tape themselves singing, dancing etc at that place. They had a huge bag of candy canes that they had to go to the mall and pass them out to senior citizens. They had a good time.

Jacqui so sorry to hear about your son's arm. Hopefully all will go well with the follow up.

Before the cruise we are going to stay somewhere on site at WDW but not on points. At this time we haven't made any decision, I'm hoping for AP rates to come out for Oct :)

Don't forget to send your info into Mark (MarkRG)& Mary(wdwlvr) for your button that they are making. They have a website set up with all the info for shirts, buttons & linking dinner. They have a link to the website in their sig.

:cake: Happy Birthday Tom! :cake:

Working on the Circle Journals from the SSMC05 is getting me excited for the next cruise. For one thing, I know that if I'm going to do this (CJ's) again next year, I've got to take more pictures!

Hi Jacqui - I bet it feels better to have "let the cat out of the bag", huh??? It's hard to keep a secret like that.

First off, poor DS, I hope he gets to feeling better soon. I broke my arm in the beginning of the summer when I was around 13 and it was torture. I was in a 1/2 body cast, because of the way that I broke it. So, pretty much everything was out for me. So, it's awesome that he has something to look forward to this summer.

The only thing that I can think of besides the picture and tshirts is the kids list and early dining list. The kids list I'll post about in a few minutes, since Stacy (Stitch#1) and I are in charge of it. And, for the dining list, if you're eating on early dining, and want to be included in our group, Cindy (cgcw) is taking names and she'll be contacting the DCL dining coordinator closer to the cruise to see if we can get us all in the same dining rotation and the same area of the restaurant. I know that someone is also doing the late dining, if you have late, but I can't remember who.

Welcome to the group, and keep posting!!!

Is there anything that you are doing on a regular basis (besides for this thread) to keep you excited about SSMC06?

Sadly, no! We'll do a paper chain for Emily around the beginning of October, so that she can count it down. And, I am having fun with the SSMC05 circle journals. Plus, coming here just keeps me excited!! I can't wait to meet all my old & new DIS friends!!!

***Attention Parents of Kid Cruisers***

I am posting the information regarding the kids list again, for any new cruisers to our little DIS group. If you have a child that is cruising with us, and you would like to have them added to the list, please send me a PM with their name and age.

Here is the current list:

Oh I am excited to see that The Flying Dutchman from Pirates has reached CC and may be there through the end of the year. Rumors are all over the place on how long it's staying at the island but I hope that it's there for our visit :cool1:

I don't know where it will dock and I know the bug issue means no peeps on the island at night but wouldn't it be nice if we could have a pirate party in front of it and have a huge group photo?

That would be so cool!!

I know Amy was curious about my Cricut and other before had questions, so I thought I'd share some things I made with the new cartridge I got today!

They are little gift bags that are about 4-5 inches high. They are great for gift cards or jewelry gifts. I'm also going to use them for baby shower/wedding shower favors with chocolates in them. And I'll use them for the Target cards I get as tips for the kids clubs CMs!
