HAPPY MONDAY MORNING :goodvibes

Its a GLORIOUS day here in Illinois. Birds singing sun shining and going to be in the low 80's with even lower humidity. Back to the Bulance today after a weekend of spending money like we were at WDW. Well we did go to a Disney store does that count? Anyway I hope all my Dis friends have a GREAT DAY

I'll second that. We truly couldn't ask for any nicer days. :sunny: :sunny: I love being able to have the windows open and feel the breeze. :cool1:

Hopefully you guys are sending that great weather my way. It rained like it's never rained before Friday and all day Saturday and yesterday was just cold, damp and dreary.

It seems like we send our weather to Michigan. Does Michigan then send their weather to you?

Cold, damp & dreary ---- yuck for June. I hope it gets better pixiedust:

We do try to send the good weather on, but I think something happens to it when it crosses Lake Erie! Nice day again here today!

This is the last week for soccer. :woohoo: Practice tonight, game Wednesday and a Tournament in Portage, MI next weekend. Of course soccer try outs are the following week, but they do give the girls a couple of weeks off before they start practicing again.

Morning all!

I did spend most of yesterday out in the yard finally cleaning up the yard and planting the rest of my flowers. I had a hectic night yesterday so I missed chat - did swing by around 9:50 pm but there weren't many there and I couldn't stay. The baby decided to be cranky last night and I was over helping dd so I played the "granma" and tried my best to get him to settle - seems he was just overtired and finally gave in. He's growing up so fast! Already 3 months old!!!

Belated wishes for a Happy Anniversary Cindy and Gary.

I'll be leaving town at the end of the week for a few days - taking the baby and my dd to Delaware so he can meet some of my family. :moped: Will be a practice trip for Christopher so dd can decide if they want to come down to WDW in December and let him see all the wonder. :yay:

It's been a while since I've posted this, and I've been meaning to!

Cafepress is running a Father's Day special until Friday--FREE SHIPPING WITH $50 purchase! Use code DADSHIP

*** T Shirt Information ***

Just some quick notes about what's offered:

* Baseball Cap -- The way the template is set up, the image for a baseball cap is rectangular. Because our life preserver logo is square, it gets scaled down a bit on the cap. I just put it there for you to see. I believe Mark has bought one already, so if you'd like to, you may want to hear his thought on it.

* Infant onesie -- It doesn't allow for a back image. I'm thinking because most kids that wear onesie don't walk, so you don't see their back. So I put the back design on the front of the onesie.

* Toddler t shirts -- They don't have "pocket" graphics like the rest of the shirts. They are centered in the front. This is because these shirts run from 6 mo - 4T, they are pretty tiny and there really isn't much room in the pocket area for the graphic.

I think I did a pretty good job with the selection of shirts. I also added the journal, ornament, mug and mousepad and a bunch of other stuff. If you see anything else on cafepress you'd like to try out with our images, just let me know and I'll try it out for you.

One last thing I want to address....one of the reasons why we chose cafepress over zazzle was the ability to open the store as a not-for-profit one. Our store is set up as not-for-profit. That means there is ZERO markup on the merchandise. You are paying cafepresses prices. No one besides cafepress is making any money on this at all. If you would like to verify that on your own, feel free, the information is out there for you on cafepress, or I can send you a link with not-for-profit store info. I just want to make this clear for everyone to understand completely and fully.

Since we are using www.disboards.com on the items this has been run past Pete. It is his site and he owns the rights to that url. We got his approval to use it on all of the items. Thanks Pete! :cheer2:

That being said, click here to go to the store! Happy Shopping! :cool1:

Thanks Diana! I need free shipping and love the shirts you picked out so I think we are going to order this week :)

Ooh is the coaster a new item??? I love it!

Ok edited to add that i love all the new items you put in the store :cheer2: WAY TO GO!

We're back! Had a wonderful cruise and loved our 2 days at WDW.

Sorry no pictures from the DIS dinner. By that time I think our brains were fried. It was great meeting up with Amy, Chris and the girls as well as Cheryl, Todd, Jeff, and his new friends. We were a little disappointed in the Flower and Garden show this year but were still happy to have been there for it!

Happy belated Anniversary to Cindy and Gary! We would be honored to be invited to your vow renewal for your 20th!

Mary - Sorry to hear about Tigger. The best you can do is comfort her.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GARY AND CINDY!!!

The DIS Meet was a lot of fun, I apologize again for my tardiness. :hourglass I went to MGM to get Star Wars limited edition merchandise and planned to buy it and walk straight back to the Boardwalk, drop it at my car and pick up the DVDs I had made for some attending the meet. Well, the CM checking me out told me about the artist who did the logo this year was signing the poster and should be finished with his session by 5PM. I looked over where he was at and the line was maybe five people deep. The CM kind of talked me into buying the poster and getting it signed (it didn't help that I had a Mai Tai :drinking1 on the walk over). I got in line at 4:45 and the author took pictures, chatted with, signed and drew Star Wars caricatures for all the people in front of me. I got out of line at 5:15 and he did maybe 3 people in that time. I ran back as far as I could (which wasn't far as the sun was hot :sunny: Saturday and I was carrying three loaded bags of stuff) making it back to Cape May about 5:40-5:45. Those attending can describe what I looked like. I must not have missed much because I was getting my food when Cheryl was walking around with the chef.

I really enjoyed the meet. As Cheryl said, we talked about the different special events DVC has set up in the past, things possibly in the future like the upcoming cruise. Tim and Tina had asked me about the events when we first met up on the BW-BC bridge a few weeks back. They seem very interested in any events including next year's big event, whatever that may be (DVC if you're listening please either a 7-day cruise or another Member Homecoming with a lower price tag). With all the talk I also forgot to take a picture, I had the still camera with me. The time really seemed to fly by. Meeting up after for Illuminations was fun. It was great meeting Marla and Jeff and their family.

Mark and Mary - I hope you had a safe trip home. Did you make it on EE? I finally made it on yesterday, it's really cool, very smooth. For those wanting to ride again and again, there is a single rider line that branches off the fast pass queue. I rode on my fast pass time, then got on the single rider line and was on again within 5 minutes. Thanks to Tim for the tip! :thumbsup2

Mary,

I heard others say the same thing about the Flower and Garden show this year. I haven't been this year, but did go that last 2 years and didn't think last year was as good as the year before. Was there anything specific that you were disappointed in? I always like to see the display at the main entry into Epcot.

Carol

Thanks for the tip Diana. I still need to order our stuff.

From the reports it seems as though it was a great meet in the World--in spite of no pics! Glad that everyone got to have some face to face time.

Sorry that F&G was't as good this year. I love F&G and missed it. Now I guess I feel better.

Hey there gang!
It was a lovely day in the neighborhood (thanks Mr Rogers!) :sunny:
The sun was shining and the temps were just right!

Just stopping in real quick!
Dropping Nick off at Mom & Dad's tonight to sleep over. We have tickets to an Advance Screening of "The Omen" at 10pm tonight, the movie opens in theaters tomorrow on 6/6/06!

Carol - the disappointment came from not seeming to have as much in the countries. England had some cute Pooh characters, Japan had the Bonsi trees and China had a panda but that was it. I just remember that in past years there was so much more in the countries and in the F&G central it seemed to be more about artwork than actual growing.

We still enjoyed it, just not as much as in the past.

Oh, sounds like such a sweet, heartwarming story! So sorry I'm going to miss it.

Amy and Stacy--In case you aren't checking the other thread, I mailed your Primas out to you today. Stacy, it was only 78 cents to mail it, I figured that was cheaper than the $3 a gallon gas. :lmao:

Jeff - we did make it over to AK to do EE. Loved the theming but Mark didn't enjoy the ride itself. Glad we did it once but not one we'll be running back to (unless I'm in a group that wants to do it).

We also went over to MGM to see an appearance by two of the stars of Cars - loved that!

Had dinner at Ohana on Sunday night with one of the families from our May cruise which was fun. Funny story on how we got to have dinner with them. After coming back from seeing Illuminations on Saturday night we are walking to our room at Boardwalk (first floor) room 1081. We see Charlie the DH walking towards us. We joke with him that they will let anyone check into the Boardwalk and ask what room he's in. They are in 1083! We are in the studio that is the lock-off to their one bedroom. How funny is that. So he goes in and gets the family and we chat for a while after opening up the connecting door. They ask what we are doing for dinner on Sunday and ask us to join them. It reminded me of after the last Member cruise when we got to meet up with other DISers for dinner and continue the cruise experience.

Strange coincidence.....or most likely, it was meant to be. pixiedust:

That's very similar to how a bunch of us ended up dining/meeting up after SSMC05. We stopped by the Boardwalk (I'm guessing to drop off the box that you were taking home for us) and IIRC, you and Mark were heading to Yachtsman for dinner. Spur of the moment, you asked if you could join us. We didn't know if it would be possible (in hindsight, the parks and restaurants were very empty that week, they were probably happy to have more diners than expected). We went over there and none other than Stacy & her family were there too. After dinner, we ran into Julie & Matt as well as Georgie (Bonzie) and her family in the lobby.

I just think with WDW being such a big place, that's it ironic when things like that happen. :thumbsup2

Isn't it crazy that we kept bumping into each other in the parks afterwards? I remember we met you in the Land at Epcot, and we met Amy just about everywhere we went! :rotfl2: The funniest thing was the day we were leaving, before going to the airport, we took the girls to see Playhouse Disney one last time. So we're sitting on the floor, singing along waiting for the show to start and I look over, and there they were again!
