Just bumping us up before we fall off the first page.

Everyone must be having nice weather and working outside.

Welcome back Mark & Mary.

Carol

So sorry to hear about Tigger! We're sending lots of prayers your way.

No idea if it's the same type of senario but wanted to offer upt hat our good friend's cat was recently diagnosed and had a similar prognosis, however, our friend did more research and as the cancer was in the paw they amputated the leg and now Al (the cat - Alexander the Great actually) is doing so well and really moving around.

Curt - glad to see you! Seems the Cubbies are having a slump (LOL) and then some this year.

We went to see The Break Up today and it was great. Now Matt's playing video games (sounds like there is a combat zone in our family room) and I am organizing wedding and scrapbooking.

Just winding down the night here.

Gary made dinner on the grill -- steaks for him & Cameron, chicken for me & Walker. Doesn't it figure, Cameron wanted the chicken after it was cooked. It worked out well, because Walker wanted the steak. That's it for choices in our house. :rotfl2:

It was an really nice day here -- even a cool breeze to cool off the bright sunshine.

Both kids lost their games. :sad2:

Walker's team just didn't seem to have it together today -- although Walker did "almost" score a goal. I keep reminding him that almost doesn't count. He tries his hardest and is one of the stronger players on his team (no clue as to where he got that :confused3 ) but today there was a little boy who was just a tad faster than Walker.

Cameron's game was a strange one. They actually lost by way of a forfeit on the part of Cameron's coach -- via the umpire. It sounded like the umpire didn't read up on the 5th grade rules and when he was questioned about a call, ended up calling the game as a forfeit.  The ump walked off the field in a huff. Fortunately, for the kids, the coaches agreed to continue playing for the sake of the kids. Not sure what happened there as Cameron's coach didn't want to forfiet the game -- he just felt that the ump was not following the rule set forth by the league.

The grass finally got cut in between all the other running we did today. :thumbsup2 We've decided we're calling back the lawn service Monday. :cheer2: I'm sure my teenage neighbors are going to look forward to the 7 a.m. wake up call every week if we're still the first stop. :p

I am back from the meet, had a great time.

Chris was in line Amy, Mary and Todd and I chatted. Some other DVC'ers met up with us that Jeff had invited, Jeff ran late but found us.

We ordered drinks, people went to eat. I waited for the chef so I could find out what on the buffet had milk so that I could avoid those items. I asked the chef about a dessert for me.

We had a great time talking about Ducky, the cruise, ideas for the next membber event, past events like member homecoming and block party.

Glad you all had a good time!

We had a busy day! DD had 2 karate classes and then made Mom and Dad tuna fish sandwiches. We spent 2 hours at the gym. Then went to Costco. There was a Vita Mix salesman and we bit hook, line and sinker. The salesman did not sell us himself. My sister just took my Mom's old one and has been making smoothies. Well the old one is probably 25 years old and still works great! The one we bought has more features, cookbook and DVD. Tomorrow morning we will make our first smoothies for breakfast (goodbye bacon and eggs :guilty: ). Here's to MORE weight loss and healthier eating! :woohoo:

We have Relay for Life on Saturday before Fathers Day. Hope your day was great there.

Glad the DIS meet went well.

VitaMix, I'll be glad to hear how you are doing with it. Good luck!

Baseball game did sound strange, but I'm glad to hear that the kids got to play after all.

I'm going to read fo a bit before going to sleep.

Good Morning All! I've been very busy this past week since returning from WDW. Work has been hectic and the weather has been terrible. It was rainy before we left for FL and it's been raining most days since we returned. I hate this weather!

Welcome back Mary and Mark! I hope to be in chat tonight. Have a good day all! Annmarie

Good morning Member Cruisers
- we sail in 20 weeks!

Woo Hoo ! We are another week closer to cruising!

Good Morning everyone!

Tonite is DVC chat - hope to see ya there!

Glad to read that the meet was fun - hope to hear more about it.

20 more weeks!!! :cheer2:

Good Sunday morning, everyone!!! We're back from our couple of days at WDW. We had a lot of fun, but now I'm exhausted!!!

We spent Thursday at Blizzard Beach with my mom. The girls absolutely loved it. Now, we're thinking of upgrading our annual passes to premium for the added benefit of the water parks. We'll see on that one.

Then, on Saturday, we got up, had breakfast and decided to head over to the Florida Mall to check out the M&M World store (Mark & Mary had mentioned that they were going to go there on their way from the port, and I thought it was a cool idea). Anyway, we headed over there and it's really cool. Lots of cool M&M stuff and a wall of different colored M&Ms. The girls even got pictures with the "real" Blue and Red M&Ms. Then, we headed to the parking lot and we had some left over sandwiches in our cooler from our day at BB, so we just decided to eat those and Madison fell asleep in her carseat.

We headed over to EPCOT and Chris took Emily in to go ride Soarin' while I stayed with a sleeping Maddie in the car. After an hour, I got Madison up and we headed for EPCOT. I had kind of cleaned up the car while Madison was sleeping, so I stopped at the front of the park to empty my garbage into the trash when I hear from the side of me "Amy?". I look up and it's Karen (ohiominnie). She was there picking up her temporary DDE card at EPCOT guest services. We talked for a few minutes about their cruise with Mark & Mary and I headed inside. Then, after about 40 minutes, Chris and Emily emerge from Soarin' (which Emily loved) and found out that Mark & Mary were also headed our way. We met up with M&M and Mark when with Chris and Madison to take pictures of the Flower & Garden stuff, while Mary, Emily and I headed over to Soarin' to ride again with a baby swap pass. Then, we decided to start heading over to the Beach Club to scope out a meeting place for the DIS group before the cruise. We found the perfect spot, but I'll let M&M tell you all about it.

Then, we headed over to dinner at Cape May and met Todd & Cheryl and Jeff's new DIS friends (but no Jeff). We checked in, got seated and Jeff made it just as we were sitting down. We had a GREAT dinner, however the girls were a little restless throughout most of the dinner. (And, both of my girls have a thing for Mark.) Then, we parted ways after dinner and we took the girls on a walk around World Showcase. Mary had mentioned that they were going to try to meet up at the Off Kilter stage for the EPCOT fireworks, so when we were done walking around the lagoon, it was 8:30pm, so we headed over to Canada. We were the first ones there, but then Marla came up and introduced herself and then Mark & Mary got there and Jeff came right as the fireworks were beginning.

It was a GREAT day and I'm getting more and more excited for October!!!

 Happy Anniversary Cindy & Gary!!

Happy anniversary Cindy & Gary!

Wow! 20 more weeks! It won't be long! OMG! I need to plan. :teeth:

I'm enjoying reading the meet reports. Thanks for letting us in.

While we were waiting in line at Cape May, I made a decision for dining before the cruise. Since we're staying at BCV the night before the cruise, we're going to take the girls to breakfast at the Cape May character breakfast on Sunday morning before heading to the port. So, Chris went up to concierge and got us reservations for 7:30am on 10/22. That way, we'll have a nice breakfast before heading to the port.

We did that for the Member Cruise last September. We met Carol and her family at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and then headed to the port. It was a nice way to build the excitement level just a bit more :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. 17 years for us and still counting.

We're just hanging out here this morning. Kids are playing on the computer, Gary's home from the grocery store and I'm trying to figure out a way for us to fly to Hilton Head next month. Carol, we may be flying into Jacksonville and driving up. I'll wave if we do. :wave2: The other options are to fly into Dallas (Julie & David/Robin, I'll wave to you then :wave2: ) and connect to Savannah or to fly into Tampa (Amy & Chris, I'll have to wave to you :wave2: ) and then connect into Savannah. Gee, we could travel all over to get to South Carolina. Still looking for something where the price is right. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you all had fun at dinner last night. Does anyone have a picture to post? :)

We did this with Chris (sanddune) and her family last year. It was nice. :thumbsup2

We thought this year, since our kids are really big breakfast eaters, we might just snack in the room and then head over to the port. But, it is subject to change. Cape May is another of our favorites for character breakfast. We just might meet up with you there.
