2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006 Part 3

Looks like I missed out on alot of nice times early in the morning. Our problem is we stay out too late at night and end up sleeping in a bit in the morning. At home, I'm usually up at the first sign of daylight, but those drapes on the ship make the room so dark - guess maybe we should leave them open so the early morning sun will wake us up..............or, I could put Cindy on wake up duty for early in the morning.

There were some people on the thread that I never even met. I couldn't pick them out in a crowd if I had to.

Others, it seemed, were on the same schedule as us. I remember fondly the morning we all sat together when we went to see Ducky Williams. In fact, I think we have a picture of Mary taking Gary's picture while Gary was taking Mary's picture. And, when some of you won the drawings, it was like a true friend was up there receiving their gift. It was so awesome.

Speaking of that morning with Ducky, we were reminded of that morning while on our Valentine's cruise with Ducky. We were walking along the deck 4 interior corridor where they had some of the art auction items. On a table, they had a framed picture, with a bunch of smaller pictures, depicting Ducky giving a "talk" on one of the cruises. When looking closer, I realized that it was OUR cruise, SSMC05. I saw several of us in the pictures!!! It was REALLY cool!!!

I had a lot of fun running into people in the early morning. Saw Cindy one morning and Gary the next. Saw Fred up by the drink station. Oh and when I was doing my walk on deck 4 Scott ran past a couple of times.

I'm definately much more of a morning person than a night person, we missed out on some fun times in the evening. Just not enough hours to enjoy it all and still get a good nights sleep.

Speaking of that morning with Ducky, we were reminded of that morning while on our Valentine's cruise with Ducky. It was, wasn't it.

But, it won't be the same without Stacy's Dad there for the early AM chats. I think he talked to a lot of us those mornings.

I think I'm going to miss Stacy's Dad the most too. Every morning I'd be up there at like 5:30 and it was just him and I! You guys were all still in bed!

And then the morning we pulled into CC was a lot of fun with Cindy and then Stacy with Scott and the GPS thingy.

Until you are on the ship, you just can't imagine just how big it is.

Haven't heard a word and I think it is well past due time that we hear something from DVC. We are almost at the 5 month mark now!

Turns out I get another visit to Epcot on Sunday, at least thats good right?

Also made some late anniversary plans. We're braving the crowds and going to Disney on the 26th/27th at the Dolphin ( Yay AP Rate and Starwood!)

I realized by doing the CJ that I did not take enough photos. That is my goal for next cruise.

Cindy, I'll take you up on that wake up call.

Well, I think our evening just freed up! Went to school for DD's variety show and she lasted about 10 seconds up on stage Went to the restroom with her so she could change and she said she was so nervous she felt like she was going to P - - K! I asked her if she was performing tonight and she said no. Of course she also said she wished she had sang instead I think we will take her out for dinner as a Congratulations for last night and a lesson learned from today. I guess she knows what stage fright is all about now!

I think you better put Cindy on for a wake up call. Don't you have an inside cabin this cruise? Don't think opening any curtains is going to help with the sun waking you up - at least not on this cruise. Unless of course you have changed cabins?????

I know what you mean about the SSMC05 pictures. We took a lot of pictures, but I still missed SO much!!! I could tell by the CDs of pictures that a bunch of us exchanged.
