Welcome back Amy! Hope you had a fun time at WDW with your brother and his family. Are they on their way home now? We have a beautiful day here in Chicago!

I think that is the coolest thing about the DIS. If anyone would have told me I'd meet people online 3 years ago, I would have thought they were absolutely nuts! But, now it's so natural, I look forward to meeting my DIS friends for many, many years to come. ::yes::
Ok, I have to agree with you on that one! And, I love that living here in FL, I can go meet you guys while you're in town. And now, Jeff has that option too, since he's even closer than we are.

Tina, just wait! :scared: It's been rather quiet here but the closer we get to cruise time, the scary it's going to be to be away from the computer for even an hour. :rotfl: Last summer, it seemed like we were filling up pages and pages and pages most days.
Cindy is right!! We were posting like crazy during those last few weeks/months before the cruise. I'm betting that once the end of summer comes, it's gonna get crazy around this thread!!!

There little girls, all I expected was they would be hungry!
Only 2 things dropped on the floor and only a little hair pulling, nothing more! :lmao:
Sounds like a typical day at my house!!! :rotfl2:

Welcome back Amy!!! :cheer2:

How was Disney World? :teeth: :teeth: Could it be anything but awesome?

Jeff - sadly while 99% of the people who post on the DIS are good the other 1% can be trouble. Someone could come across as very kind to one person and be very mean to another. I prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they hurt me or someone close to me. Sadly that has happened on here. I hope it never happens to you but when it does it can be an eye opener. I prefer to spend my time dealing with the 99% that is great. Even more I prefer to spend time with the small percentage of people that have not only become computer friends but true friends. Had to come back to edit as I was interrupted when I wrote that. I love making new friends as well. What I meant was I just don't worry about dealing with the negative 1% any more. :)
I have to agree with you guys! I never prejudge people, because it's just not fair! But, I have come across my fair share of not so nice people. And, some of you know me very well, I'm Switzerland. I prefer to stay in the middle and pretend that everyone is nice. But, that's not the case. I just keep my distance from those that don't treat me right, and hope that they can do the same.

There is enough room in this world for all types!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats!!! That's a great accomplishment!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes, we had a great time with my brother, SIL and my new nephew!! They left this morning at 6:30am, and he just called a little while ago to say that they are home, safe & sound!

Disney was great! We went to Typhoon Lagoon on Wednesday, since my mom had free passes. Then, we went to a Cast store and then to Cape May Cafe for dinner. We went to Magic Kingdom yesterday. Always fun!!!

Sounds like you had a fun time!
Glad to hear your brother is back home safe and sound.

I can't believe I have to wait till AFTER the cruise to be in the parks again. I'm going thru MAJOR withdrawal!

You and me both, Stacy! :sad2:

As if that's not enough, we are talking about skipping WDW in 2007 all together.

W O W Cindy! I can't imagine that, however, we may be in the same boat since we are set to cruise the med.

Julie, we'll commiserate together!

I'm so going to miss Walker's school. This morning when I dropped him off, I told the assistant teacher that she should have Walker wiggle his front tooth enough to fall out. For days, it's been very loose and just sitting there. The other morning, she told me, don't worry, I've been through this a couple times and it won't be a problem.

So, today, it's still hanging there. I can deal with all sorts of things with my kids --- just not lose teeth. It really grosses me out. :scared:  And, Gary's going away camping with Cameron for the weekend so that leaves me to be forced to deal with it.

But, never fear........Just 15 minutes ago, the assistant teacher called me to say that I have nothing to worry about. Walker's tooth feel out just as soon as class started. His teacher gave him a tooth necklace to put it into and he's walking around proud as can be.

I know in the big, public school it won't be the same personal touch. I'm so sad that my baby is graduating.   I'm going to be the mom with the sunglasses next Thursday night. And to think, this is only kindergarten :faint: :guilty:

Jeff - the DIS is a community and like all communities people have different opinions. All are still more than welcome here (well except for those who don't follow the guidelines but that is a whole different thing). I judge each person individually and don't judge others by their associations. Like I said in my original post I prefer to focus on the 99% and not the 1%

The thing is we all interact more on the boards than we do on the actual cruise. There were people I interacted on the boards with daily who I rarely saw on the cruise. The ship is so big and all our interests so varied that we as a large group won't be together 24/7.

No need to tip-toe. If you ever see me running away from you it will be because I look like a mess and don't want to be captured on video :lmao:

That's so true about seeing each other on the cruise, sometimes you're practically following the same people and then a day or two go by before you see on eanother again.

That's also the best attitude towards others on the DIS. :thumbsup2

Don't worry I won't film you if you don't want. And if anyone is adverse to being on candid camera please let me know, I won't film those who don't want to be filmed.

Welcome back Amy! So, how was WDW? Tell Chris to check his PMs, I sent him one a couple weeks ago about Publix.

There were some people on the thread that I never even met. I couldn't pick them out in a crowd if I had to.

Others, it seemed, were on the same schedule as us. I remember fondly the morning we all sat together when we went to see Ducky Williams. In fact, I think we have a picture of Mary taking Gary's picture while Gary was taking Mary's picture. And, when some of you won the drawings, it was like a true friend was up there receiving their gift. It was so awesome.

Until you are on the ship, you just can't imagine just how big it is.

Along the same lines as Jeff just asked, if anyone doesn't want a wake up call, just let me know. :rotfl: :rotfl: Yoohoo, Julie!! :lmao:

Cindy - yep I have that same picture in reverse! :)

The funny thing is we didn't even plan it. A lot of us just showed up at the same events. It was great fun seeing fellow DIS'ers like Mary win a sketch.

Jeff i loved watching your videos and feel honored to be included. I think the only time on SSMC05 I wanted to run was when you were filming on Castaway Cay and we saw you not long after I got out of the water. My hair was a mess and my t-shirt was all wet. While that may be attractive on some women i know it isn't on me. :lmao:

Cindy - I'll pass on the wake up call. I'd rather meet you up on deck like we did last time. That was a nice surprise.

I do think having all the early seating people linked at dining will really help us all keep in touch more. Not to mention have more fun!

It was, wasn't it.

But, it won't be the same without Stacy's Dad there for the early AM chats. I think he talked to a lot of us those mornings. :thumbsup2

HA HA - well see sleeping in to me means missing all the fun! Matt he could sleep forever. We really need to get a new alarm clock this year cause the one we bought for last year's cruise was so LOUD that we could hear it ticking in the drawer next to the bed. I keep it in the closet now at home and every morning ... tick ... tick... tick :rotfl2:

I think I'm going to miss Stacy's Dad the most too. Every morning I'd be up there at like 5:30 and it was just him and I! You guys were all still in bed! :lmao:

And then the morning we pulled into CC was a lot of fun with Cindy and then Stacy with Scott and the GPS thingy.

Memories......
Like the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories :rolleyes1

Hey Jeff - WDW was, of course, fun as usual!! I'll let Chris know. He doesn't log onto the DIS all that often.
