Great Job Karen

We made it through Brooke's state meet. She did great. Placed 1st on vault, 4th on bars, 2nd on beam and 2nd in the all around. She had her highest scores of the year at this meet. It was a nice meet and she had fun.

We are working on a dvd for all the gymnasts that has all their pictures over the last year and need to put it to music. I am looking for ideas of songs that would be fun for them. It is a secret so I can't ask the girls. I was thinking about one Disney song since one of their meets was at Disney. Any ideas?????

We were so busy over the weekend, I didn't post a cool thing that happened to Gary. When we were at WDW in March, Gary called our guide hoping that she had another baseball style hat that she gave him many years ago. The hat became one of Gary's favorites and he wore it all the time.....until the clasp on the back broke. I finally made him toss it out eek: I know, Mary, you & Gary think he should have saved it anyway ).

Anyway, he called asking if by chance she had another one that she could offer to him. No luck.

Saturday, in the mail is an envelope with Gary's name on it from DVC.

Inside is a nice, new baseball hat for him! Not blue like he had originally but a bright red one which will make Gary easier to spot in a crowd! How cool is that?!?

Hey everyone! I don't know who has ordered from Cafepress yet, but I received my order today. I was SO excited to open it, only to find out that all 4 of my tshirts only had the front logo, none of the back art. I'm going to contact Cafepress later today to find out what they can do.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Hi everyone!

Uh oh. I'm sorry to hear about that Amy. I didn't get to make an order on Cafe Press yet, but I am pleased to announce that DH is liking it and will proudly wear a shirt too! I wonder if there will be another shipping discount in the near future.

I'm also pleased to say that I managed to order MNSSHP for the 26th this weekend! We've never been...and just know it will be fun.

Does anyone else have any other encounters with wild animals?

We have had squirrels in our attic. We could hear them running around up there, but the last straw was when I would go out on the porch in the morning and see big hunks of pink insulation on the lawn that they had pulled out overnight! They left when the weather got warm, and we had a contractor nail some tin over the hole they were using to get inside.

But the best critter story by far happened to my neighbors. Her DH called Ken to say he had a squirrel in the house, and would Ken mind coming over to help get it out. Ken grabbed our DD's butterfly net thinking he could use it to catch the squirrel and went over. When he got there he asked our neighbor where the squirrel was and he said "In the bathroom." What he didn't tell him was that the squirrel was IN THE TOILET!! My friend had gone into the bathroom to use the facilities before leaving, and when she lifted the lid on the commode, there was this critter looking up at her! Well, DH took the net, dipped it into the pot, and carried it out. All we could think of after that is how many times we've gotten up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and we NEVER EVEN LOOK! DON'T EVEN TURN ON THE LIGHT!!

On a side note, my internet has been down all day, and I just now got it back. Thank goodness...I was going through DIS withdrawal!

I forgot to mention earlier that on Saturday, we got our tickets for MNSHHP. It may still be 24 weeks, but getting those tickets in the mail made it that much more real for us.

At this point, these are the people I have down for our MNSHHP meet. The names in blue have already ordered their tickets.

Well, I have to say that the Cafepress customer service is GREAT!!! They are shipping me out a new set of tshirts. They told me to just donate the tshirts that I got, so that I wouldn't have to pay shipping to send them back. So, since I'm sure that no one wants to have tshirts with our logo on them, I'll just use them as extra shirts around here.

I guess the lesson to be learned here is to always make sure the seat is put down when not in use. Oh, that will be SO easy to convince my kids.

And, wearing them, you'll be able to give us an update as to how they hold up! The ones that I have from last cruise, both from DVC & our thread, didn't hold up well at all. I don't expect them to last forever, but a couple of washings would be an improvement over the others. I have some I've bought at WDW that have lasted years and years after many washings. Let's hope these do the same.

Like I did on the last cruise. It had to be grease that I managed to smear all over the front of the white ones we bought through DVC. I never did get it out and I tried all sorts of things.

Seriously, if you want to trade red for blue, neither of us has ever worn it, it's dusty, but I can wipe it off. It just sits on a shelf, so I don't care about the color.

I have the white one and wear it all the time. You don't want that one.
