When we meet up I'll flaunt my CUBS warm up jacket. Hey, I'm from Chicago and I have a tendancy to vote twice, so one AL Team (Tigers) and one NL Team (Cubs).

Oh, I'm with you on that one, Tina!!! This is one girl that will ALWAYS be a Cubs fan!!!

Have all of you forgotten who won the World Series last year? :stir:

I'm not sure we can sail with all these Cubs fans. :sad2: :sad2:

My anniversary is the opposite. We were married on December 19th, so we pretty much never exchange gifts. But, that's ok, we usually end up doing something special like a night out, and a few times we went on a little weekend away. I'm trying to convince him to go on a DCL cruise in 2008 for our 10th anniversary.

We have my birthday May 4th, then Mother's Day, our anniversary June 4th, then Father's Day and Gary's birthday July 4th. Talk about overload of holidays. If we celebrated each of them for the entire month -- it would take us through 3 months.

:scratchin hmmmm, maybe that's not such a bad idea. :cheer2:

Cindy - think of it this way. By the time we sail in October the World Series will either be over or in the finals. Either way Chicago bragging rights will be settled.

Just pointing this out. I'm more a Cubs fan than a Sox fan but not a huge baseball fan any more.

I'm very different than Gary who looks forward to having fireworks every year on his birthday. We usually have a BBQ or go to a BBQ and end the night with a bang -- of fireworks that is ;) . Born on the 4th of July!!

My brother's bday is July 4 also. We're the holiday kids I guess. I was always jealous that he got BBQs and fireworks, he was always jealous that I got trees and Santas. :confused3

We are pretty much the same way about presents. I get what I want when I want it----aka spoiled rotten. :lmao: This year, I suspect our points add-on will be part of my bday gift, and that's totally fine with me!

Truly, I'm neither but if I want my pre-teen child to still talk to me, I need to at least put on a good front.

I do know if Cameron is ever on the Cubs for Little League, he's burning his uniform when the season is over. :rotfl:

Sounds like a great b-day gift Diana. Not that we need more points. :)

My brothers birthday is the 5th and he always hated that he had to clean up the yard on his birthday (because back in my youth our big thing on the 4th of July were flares and those black snakes).

Ohhh, a nice tangable gift. I could handle that -- but we're pretty much set with points. Especially with junior high on the horizon, I'm thinking we might even exercise that option of "banking" -- whatever that means. ;)

That's funny you say that because I always said when Cameron was born on the 8th that we just doubled our 4's. :thumbsup2

What about the YANKEES??

I wasn't thinking about the series Mary. Whenever the Yanks are in it, we go. My dad has good "connections" and we always get great seats. So I may have to cancel the cruise if they make it that far. :lmao:

:surfweb: Good morning all...

THAT IS THE HOLLOWEST THREAT I have ever heard!

-----------
About the W/Sox. Ok they won LAST YEAR. This year (so far) - let me check Yahoo Sports.... ok they're 8-5, tied for first, bad direction to go. It still remains that Ozzie made a very nasty remark about Detroit, the city. While accurate, it just didn't show alot of class. If I'm still rooting for the Cubs (and I haven't lived in Chicago since 1979) at least you know I'm not a fair weather fan

About the Yankees. Take away a certain man's checkbook and the Yanks are like all the rest. Nuff said.

Have a good day all.

Ya know, I have to admit this much, when I was a kid and you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always a baseball statistician. :confused3 I used to keep notebooks with all the Mets stats in them. This was mid 80s, when the Mets were actually a good team. I loved baseball, everything about it. I was a true fan.

Now, I pretty much like baseball because the men wear tight pants. :lmao: And the Yanks have some fine lookin fellas.

Wow! I can see it's been a very busy posting time for many of you - took me a while to catch up on all the reading this morning!!! Must say that it's has been a riot :rotfl: reading these posts.
Our DVC cruise is going to be the place to be this year for all the fun times and laughs!!! :yay:

This is a little bit of odd trivia---my ex-h's bday was on Christmas Eve. How weird is that? Well, he was pretty weird, but we won't go there!
I have one even better than that. DD and her DH are born on the very same day.....even the same year! He enjoys telling people that he's 3 years older though!

Attention scrapbookers, if you want to be tempted, QVC is having a Scrapbook Fair from 9-5 EDT. Lots of cool stuff!
