Thanks for the "Welcome Backs"! I did miss you guys, I hope you know! :grouphug: (Well, okay - I missed some of you more than others...) :lmao:

It's good to know that I'm not the only person who doesn't scrapbook. Maybe we can start our own lonely little club. :scratchin Of course, I'll probably get hooked on it while on the cruise with you maniacs. Just what I need - another hobby that I have neither the time or resources for! Yippee!!! :yay:

Karen

You are not alone...LOL.. Hobbies what are those?!?!? I would love to scrapbook, but my only artistic side is for Videography... Oh well I will just have to settle for the pics in the camera.. Maybe I can pick up some tips from you guys.. I have so many Disney things coming up with the trip to WDW, the Cruise, and then the WDW wedding I would guess that I might have something to put in a scrapbook... LOL :lmao:

For those of you who have Mickey collections - check this item #6607423007 on ebay - I don't have anything close to this!!!

Okay, I have a confession to make. This is truly my auction. :woohoo: Once it sells, I just may have to leave the Disney cruises behind and try some of those other cruise lines with the new ships. I've read they are wonderful. :rolleyes2

On second thought, I'll stick with Disney. pixiedust:

Now Mary, I have seen your Disney collection. I bet if you had all your stuff in one room it would be very close to what is in that auction.

Anyone with a spare $400,000 laying around - oh by the way, the shipping insurance charge for it is something like $1500. Can you imagine packing all of the for shipping - what a nightmare!

Took a look at that auction - yikes! I thought we had a lot of Disney stuff!

Cindy - better to stick with DCL. I've been on other lines and they can't compare. Then there are some lines I would never dream of going on!

Sorry, Amy - I think that the less-than-perfect Florida weather was our fault. This was the second year that we went to WDW for our anniversary, and the second year that the weather was more Michigan-like than Florida-like. :cold: Oooops. I think that we're going to start coming down in March instead (Because I'm back in school! Yay!!! :cheer2: ), so hopefully we won't jinx it for you anymore. Can you find it in your heart to forgive us??? :flower3:

Hope all went well at the dentist!

Karen
Oh Karen - I'm sorry that you haven't had good weather here. That's the bad part about our winter here, you never can tell the weather. December, January and February are just so iffy. It could be 40 degrees all the way up to 80 degrees. But, I wouldn't trade it for the ice & snow that all of you northerners have. I did that for 25 years of my life, and I'm staying in FL now!!! :rotfl2:

Oh, and the dentist was fine. Just a routine cleaning and checkup. Thankfully! I had enough problems about 3 years ago with a chipped tooth, root canal and crown.

I started with Disney, and I don't know that I'll ever stray away!!! Well, unless we decide to go on an Alaskan cruise someday, since it's one of my dreams. However, I don't know if my "Florida boy" DH will ever even consider an Alaskan cruise. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Amy - very true! We would most likely be the same way. There are some other good lines out there. I've done Royal Caribbean and would do them again. I've never done Princess but have been on one of thier ships (back in the day when you could visit other ships) and I've heard good things about them. I don't think I would ever do Carnival or a number of other cruise lines. To me they just don't have the class and elegance of DCL. They look like big floating milk cartons on the outside and gaudy on the inside.

Big floating milk cartons. Now there is a visual. :lmao: :lmao:

I need to go look at some of the other cruise lines ships to see what they look like.

We've only cruised on the last member cruise. It took us long enough to do that one as I was very intimidated, somehow I don't see us switching to another line.

I've also seen a lot of ships while in other ports. On the 10 day we got to see a number of different lines (more European lines) when we were in Antiqua and St. Martin. Very different from DCL. Especially when you share a pier with them.

I know what you mean. I just think that there is a class & elegance about the design of the Magic and the Wonder that no one can beat. They really are beautiful ships. And, I've seen pictures of the neon inside of some of the other lines and think "OMG, I'm glad there's no neon on DCL". Some of it was WAY over the top!!!

I agree, their ambience is top notch, nothing gaudy or flashy, true class and elegance. Not to mention the service and don't even get me started on the food! I've even heard of some cruises where the food is so terrible people bring snacks. :confused3 Snacks?? :scratchin I go on a cruise TO eat, I can snack here at home!

For you scrapbookers, Creative Memories is coming out with a 12x12 Disney album. It will be available for purchase in April. I haven't gotten my "Scraps" (CM consultant magazine) so I don't know yet what it looks like. Hopefully I will like it since I have SO many Disney pictures.

I've heard that it is going to look exactly like the smaller Disney album, red with the black Mickey head. I don't know if my source is correct, but I guess we'll find out soon enough!

I just have to share my bargain of the day! I went to Walmart to get some stuff I needed and some stuff I didn't need that just jumped right into the cart. I was loading the girls into the car and this lady stopped me---now freaky people are attracted to me, especially freaky Walmart people, so I usually pay no attention. But she says to me, you know if you go to the carwash that is right down the street, the local bank is giving away stuffed animals for the kids and you get a FREE car wash!!! It's on my way home anyway, so I drove up, the girl gave the girls two stuffed dogs and mommy got her very dirty car washed for free! :cool1: On top of it all, going to the car wash is an ultimate form of entertainment for my girls, who beg to stop when we drive by it. :cool1: What a great day! :woohoo:
