We are down at OKW, stayed a few days at Grand Floridian. It is sooooooooo tough seeing those Disney Cruise buses!!!!! SAD!!

When we get home, I'll try to send a link for one of our trees. DH puts up 11 of them and our foyer one is 12 ft and all disney..

11 trees, WOW that is a forest, I was scared to admit to two at our house. One for family and Disney ornaments, and the 4 foot tree in the bedroom has all our travel ornaments.

I wish SW airlines served our area, as you guys are getting some great fares.

Just spent an hour on the phone this morning with American Express, cut off an attempted Identity Theft with my card. American Express did a great job shutting this down. No charges made to my account, just an attempt. So a word of advice, check your bills, save receipts, and shred everything. Sounds like Ollie North.

We are almost at the 5 month mark, definately getting closer.

I had my Amex number stolen quite a few years ago. We made a hotel ressie using my card and checked out with dh's. The next month, my accountant was giving me a hard time about the charges. When I looked at the statement, a Montgomery Ward charge had been paid off, tires bought, shoes, many shoes, etc. Amex took care of everything!

Yeah, dh really gets into xmas. Leaving OKW today. A little chilly down here but looking forward to getting home and working on xmas.

4 charges from Iceland.. Card has been canceled so No more
and they only got $500.00 dollars Not what I need Right Before xmas..

Canceled check card and $500.00 light .... use my check card for everything... I Have online Banking and was reviewing account Activity... thought Jenn might have some Doozy of a xmas present Coming
At that time we did not know witch card it was .. Was going to remain Quiet but it did not make sence .. So I said Hey Jen Did u make these charges ( Gingerly) I dont need to know what they are Just if u did She said AHHH

We recently used a credit card to make several large payments on our kitchen remodel project. Over the course of a week, we got at least 10 calls from the credit card company to check to make sure the charges were OK. It was funny that they were calling so much, but I kept telling them that it was OK - I rather have them do that then not pay attention at all.

So true Ken.

At one time I received a new Visa card and did not use it until we were on Grand Cayman whilst on a dive trip. Only used it once and any other attempted charges were declined, with the message to contact the card company. Got home and called, was told the card company thought it was strange that the card had being activated and then used off shore, thus they shut it down until they were contacted. Better safe than sorry.

Having never flown out of LA, which airport is most convenient to Disneyland? I'm assuming that Orange County would be the nearest, but is it the most accommodating as opposed to LAX? Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated as my wife and I are in the process of finalizing our flight plans.

You really have three choices. LAX, Long Beach or Orange County. Long Beach and Orange County are closer, but have less flight options. So, when it comes right down to it, you need to check on flights out of each - compare costs and make the choice. I'm not sure which is the absolute closest between Long Beach and Orange County, but my guess is that Orange is somewhat closer.

Bill Dont know the anwsers but we did get a Fare from LAX
to Tucson , Az. for $39.00 on Southwest.. so happy..

So we now spend 2 days in Cal At WDL and then Go To AZ. To Visit Friends... Could Get an $99.00 Fare on SW From PHX. To Manchester Nh.
Was a Bit more out of Tucson.. Will have to Use rapid reward for that leg..

But Could Get $79.00 From Manchester Nh. to Orlando.. So over all We did Pretty good.. with the Air...



Disney is running Transfers from the ship To LAX I Believe

Bill alot of which airport to use will depend on what airline you want to fly. As an example Southwest only serves LAX and Orange County, from Orange County they only fly to CA and Nevada. But from LAX they are direct to most cities they serve.

American and United serve all airports except maybe Long Beach. From OC American flys to hub airports in DFW and Chicago. From LAX they serve most airports.

So the choice of airport may be determined on whether or not you want a direct flight.

Just got back from vacation. Cabo San Lucas. Most of the cruisers will love this place. We did. Too bad that the Magic will only be there from 7:30 to 3:30. Maybe Disney will change that to a later departure!

Has anyone heard from Jindy? I have been very busy lately. By the looks of it so has everyine else! It is sooo cold here! I think it's 39. Hey! Thats cold for a true floridian I might even have to get the fireplace going tonight! Don't get to do that to often! I finally got my Christmas shopping done! My daughter asked for a "weiner dog". It was very hard for Santa to find a Dachshund! I found her in the paper last week & the lady will hold her until Christmas Eve! I can't wait! She is only 8 weeks old and so cute & long! Well I hope everyone has a better week than the looks of mine!

Wow, so many of us on this thread with attempted CC theft! Just shows what a huge problem it is.
I was really lucky when someone got hold of my #. (still have NO clue how) I had made one out of state purchase and a couple of high ticket items within just a few days. The CC company called and went down the list with me. The purchases they had flagged as suspicious were mine, but there were two small charges for phone cards as well (under $50 for both). Never bought a phone card in my life.
I immediately cancelled the card. Got a call from a detective back east some months later and whoever had gotten my # had wreaked havok with someone elses credit. So glad we shut them down before it happened to me.
I will never complain about CC companies being too careful.



I'm sure everyone is busy with holiday preparations - every year I swear I will NOT stay up and do the Christmas eve wrapping marathon.... but the fact that I don't even have most of my gifts bought yet, much less wrapped, does not bode well.

Anyone else down and out with colds/flu? I've been sick for 2 weeks now and it's seriously kicking my butt! I just keep thinking that it's at least before Christmas and hopefully I'll be better for THE holiday!

We got one of our Christmas presents early this year... we adopted a boxer puppy from the pound, so add "Sadie" to the doggy list! The beagle is barely tolerating her. Guess it's hard to teach an old dog (10years) new tricks (3months)

I would also love to have the captains name for our sailing so I could order the certificates in advance. Is any of our group going on the 10 day Christmas cruise?

We also did the Flat Stanley thing last year. Very cute! The cold/flu thing is going around. We have all had it here. It took like two weeks to feel better! It was really bad, and it's still going around our office. I am the only assistant, so I could'nt take off!
