Thanks Robin. Billy has the same problem with grades. He does not turn in assignments and therefore gets a zero(not just an F). It is real hard to raise a zero with routine work. We have permission to go from the principal already , if the work is OK. Billy is a Big kid, 5 ft 8 in, for a twelve year old. I hope they will allow him into the stack as he would rather not hang with the younger kids. He is in the seventh grade and the backup center for the basketball team. He has to regularly guard a 6 ft 4 in 8th grader who is the regular center. Hope to hear from you some more. Bill

Well we are back in Tampa for the night getting ready for early flights back to JAC. Looks like it will be cold when we get home. Oh well, next trip is in February to a warm clime.

We enjoyed Food and Wine, only downer was they ran out of the cook books. Would have liked to have gotten one.

Stopped by the cruise desk at BCV this morning and tried to get some info on our cruise. Didn’t really expect any and the only thing we learned was there is a new variety show in the works that should be starting real soon on the Magic. The CM at the desk said there was to be a CM preview today. DCL is bringing in folks to train for the west coast operation. That is about all I could glean.

We decided to rent a car for our WDW stay in May, so should someone need a lift to the port let us know.

Waiting to get the review on Primetime shuttle for the LAX end, before we book that service.

Back to the cold and work, I really need to retire soon, Maybe I will win the lotto and If I do I will charter a bus for this whole group from WDW to the Port… Don’t hold your breath , but it could happen.

Sounds like 3Dan has a bad case of Hoosier Histeria, I went to undergrad school in IN so I understand..

3DAN, our first Disney cruise in 1999, Aimee was 5 months shy of 13, and she really did not want to be with the "little" ones. We spoke to the staff at the Common Grounds, and I believe they would have let her join in, however they really discouraged her because of her age. Basically they left it up to her. She decided not to stay with the teens, and she regretted it. This was only a 4 day (prior to the 7 day cruises) so she ended up staying with me the whole time. Our next 4 cruises with Disney, she loved the teen group, I never saw her except for dinner. Now that she is 18, she is hesitant to admit she will have any fun. The good thing is, there are a couple 18-20 year old Dis'ers that will be going, so she is feeling better.

My neice Olivia is so excited to finally be able to go to the Stack. Two years ago, she was borderline like Aimee's first year, but my sister would not even consider her joining the teens. If your son is close to 13, I'm sure they will allow him in. I don't think that there will be many younger kids on this sailing, as the August sailing. They should be more flexible because of that I would think?

Scott, I'm hoping for lotto also! A bunch of us from work buy powerball every week......one day ;)

Robin

Jen, if you can find one that would be great. Thanks Much.

I really enjoyed the Florida wines, pretty tasty, in their own unique right.

You're right. We've got Hoosier Hysteria. Billy just competed in the Christian preleague tournament tonight. He went in for the starting center when that guy fouled out. Score tied 47:47. Four seconds left. Billy plays great defense on the other teams center and forward. Turnover. We get the ball. Guard takes a lay up from the left. We lead 49:47 and two seconds left. They throw it in and we knock it away. We WIN!!!!!!!!!!! We are three and 0 for our pre season. Billy gets special commendation from the coach after the trophies are handed out in front of the whole team(he's only twelve). I cant stand it I'm so proud. Now , if he can only get his grades up so we can go on the cruise.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi Everyone

I'm looking for someone who lives in the New York City area. If you ever make it to the World of Disney store somewhere in New York City, I'm looking for a "NYC Mickey Antenna Topper". I guess these were sold only at the World of Disney store in NYC.

If anyone is in the area, I would sure appreciate an E-mail to talk about getting one of these antenna toppers. As you can guess, I collect them. I've got about 90 different Mickey and Minnie antenna toppers.

It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

Ken

While, I'm not there now, I live in Manhattan and would be happy to check the Disney store there. Need to pick up some more NYC Disney pins to trade :)

I'll be back in NYC after Thanksgiving. If you haven't worked it out with someone before then, feel free to e-mail me:

nejthelion@earthlink.net

Ken, I sent you an email before I read nejthelions post. My offer is still good, but I won't be there until 12/23.

Robin

Scott, When in Key West there is a good Florida Wine shop as well there....

Can't believe it's basketball season already. Football's not over yet! Good luck on those grades, it always was a struggle with my kids during football season to keep grades up.

Currently in ATL with a 3 hour layover. Crown Room can be an Oasis.

Jen, for this cruise we will be in FL a couple of days ahead of our sailing and just might make a quick run over to St. Pete to get a couple of bottles to take along with us. We want to check the property again and talk to building Dept folks, to see if what we want to do is allowed. Then we can drive back to WDW on 17, just to get a feel for that route.

Bob, not only is football not over we have not even had Turkey Day and the BCV was decorated for Christmas. Seems earlier and earlier each year.

Lynn has informed me that the Cove Coffee location on this ship will be dangerous to our ship board account. I told her we will be getting separate accounts, should her foo foo coffee become a problem. So here is the question for you recent cruisers. What are the prices like for the coffee there at Cove Café?? I admit if they have good plain coffee I will probably be visiting there also. I had a pound of Panamanian coffee sent from CoffeeAM.com. Have not tried it yet, will let ya know.

Back to the grind tomorrow, checked work msg’s yesterday and had one good call (plea agreement reached) and one monster case taking a spiral, not on my end, just looks like trial for two weeks in Feb.

Now to look forward to the Feb dive trip. Should have some SCUBA classes starting soon.

I Do Not Feel That the Prices At the Cove Cafe For "foo foo coffee"
Are any worse than any other coffee house.. We love Our coffee.. But Do Tend To Notice As The Trip goes on it does Start To Add up.. and than I End up going To The Station To Get Iced Coffee.. Peter

Scott, the Cove is definately bad for your shipboard account. The "foo foo" drinks did a number on my tab in February. Especially the ones with alcohol in them:teeth:

Robin

So about $3-5 for a cup of double foo foo vanilla, caramel latte with a twist.... She better find an other job. :jester:

I really enjoy keeping and perusing our old bills form the cruises......mine are mostly Treasure Ketch and drink of the day, with an occasional BINGO thrown in. Keith on the other hand, diversifies and hits EVERY bar on the ship.....no other charges!

Has anyone seen Jindy? I haven't seen her here or online thru IM.

I love the Cove. The lattes are great and prices not to bad, but not great... plus if you eat in, you always get a treat on the side

I was going to ask Jindy if she got her latest People mag yet....Mr. Depp large on the front cover.......hope everything is OK out there.....

The treats are wonderful. I enjoyed checking out the books they had, lots of diverse topics. My mint mocha coffe was too pretty to stir, then when I did, it was too ugly to drink...(not really, but it WAS an awful gray color!) :sad2: :drinking1

The last Jindy said was she was going to Disneyland on 11/10. She did not mention how long she was staying. Maybe she is still there having the time of her life!
