It's Monday now and I'm back at work! Yeah, short week for me. We leave for Lake Powell Thursday night for the holiday!

HEY-MY BIRTHDAY IS MAY 11 TOO!!!!!!! I think that is three of us! We will have to celebrate.

Our anniversary is on the 28th, but I'll be sad we'll be departing that day!

Here is a way I save some extra cashola for trips. I save all my pocket change. I even make change when I don’t need to. Like when the mini mart clerk wants to give you a penny out of the cup next to the register. It adds up. Also use American Express for everything I can so as to get FF Miles. They do add up along with Hotel rewards.

I've stopped using Amex for everything...I had many miles until today...booked a Christmas gift.

I figure with the cruise going on the card I will hit my $25,000 mark with no problem. I can always do some emergency spending if I feel I won't reach that point

I've been putting more on my Disney Visa. I have a couple hundred dollars already. Hope to have about $400 by cruise time. Plus I have my $200 on board credit. That should get me through the first day on board .

I have to reserve my change for Vega$....

I am not a good money saver, however, I save alot by getting good (great) deals for the most part.

We use our AX for everything also. My DH and I both have separate accounts so we both get the free airline ticket each year. I sell some stuff on Ebay, so I have a separate checking account which is my spending money for the cruise. I have about $400 in it right now!

Oh i need to sell some stuff on ebay, that sounds good. I'm cleaning out my office and I have a zillion music CDs...bet I could dump some of those. And some Disney stuff. I have too much Disney stuff (I can hear the gasps... )

I belonged to a book club a couple of moves ago - fun, but it seemed like it was turning into a competition to see who could put on the most lavish spread on discussion night.

Glad the reading group did not start the first book yet. I have been way too busy reading contracts and papers trying to decide if I should go ahead and deposit for my new house. I am a wreck, this is such a big decision! I feel very pressured as there is only one lot left in the current phase. The way the prices have been increasing from phase to phase it is unreal!

I also really need to get my act together and start selling stuff on ebay. I have never done this before, only purchased. You would not believe what is in my attic! I would gladly welcome any pointers or tips.

Scott, I also save all my change. My DD thinks I am nuts, as I won't use coinstar, I take the time to roll it myself. I should have nearly 2 years worth about now, as I never got around to rolling it for this years cruise's mad money.

Gmail is google's email. it's like yahoo mail but WAY better. you have an obscene amount of storage. I have over 1000 emails in my gmail account from all of my yahoo groups, but have only used 5% of my storage. it's great

We save loose change too, but we bought one of those battery operated coin rollers years ago at a stationnary store that was Saves us from paying Coinstar for the priviledge of saving money! Before every Disney trip we take what we have down to the bank and that gets us good cash (usually around $300) for our trip. We also have our Disney Visa, and I put all rebate checks into the vacation fund.

We too have purchased on Ebay, but never sold. It's something I keep bugging DH about because he's got a great rating as a buyer, so I tell him we should use his ebay account. I have a ton of books to sell.

Wish I could join the book club, but since I'm working mega-hours right now, it's all I can manage to keep up with my magazines.

My father read The Path Between the Seas a while ago and loved it. He said it's an amazing story. Before I knew that was "the book" on this thread, I had already borrowed it, but have yet to start it. If nothing else, I will bring it on the 10-day cruise. Lots of reading time...ah!

I forgot to mention that I have a Disney-oholic that I work with that will also be on the 10-day and the repo cruise with us. Too funny that we'll both be off at the same times. Good thing we're not in the same department!

Oh, and very sorry to hear about your evening Jenkatt. I've had days like that...still mad at the dog for eating my peanut butter and jelly sandwich one night when DH was on a business trip.

Sorry to hear about your bad turn of events today! Since I got the privacy manager on my phone, and registered on the Do Not Call website, I don't get anymore telemarketers.

I'd love the gmail info. I will post my email address on our book club yahoo group site. I went to gmail.com and I see you have to be "special" to get an email while they are in the testing stage.

We have the do not call thing and the privacy thing and caller ID. I was too tired to read the caller ID and yelled at the one company that called 4 times in an hour.
