2 years ago, we were on the Magic in St. Thomas. After all aboard , they kept paging this lady inside the staterooms as well. When were were pulling away, there she was running down the pier... She just stopped, stared in disbelief and started to cry... She was in beach clothes & had a small tote bag. The Harbor people loaded her on a small boat & brought her out to the ship, which was now in open water outside Charlotte Amalie. We heard from someone they charged her big $$$ for stopping the ship & letting her aboard via the tender door... She was lucky!

Beware of Carlos & Charlies... Easy to lose track of time... :drinking1:

Good news Jen- good luck with the interview!

Good news, Jen!!! :teeth: Good luck with the interview.

Ok - I'm going to sound really dumb, but WHERE is Carlos & Charlie's? Is that in Mexico somewhere?

It's in Cozumel. It's right at the base of the peir you dock at, so you can see all the ships coming and going. It's decent Mexican food, but really really really good drinks. There's a shot girl that goes around with something the is pink that is really good.
It's a great place to end a day at Cozumel

The Carlos and Charlies most oft referred to here is in Cozumel. I would imagine there have been quite a few sprints down the pier to a departing cruise ship as a result of over indulgence and losing track of time.

I know in St Thomas there was a contact for a chase boat to get folks to the ships they missed. I did not ask my friend what they charged but would imagine it was not cheap.

Jen, best of luck with the interview. 3-4 month til you can swing days would not be that bad.

Yes, that's Haley princess:, my DD. She's almost 19 months now and getting into the terrible two's phase. Argh!! She is also a ham and is cute and KNOWS it.

The blue ones she had when we there weren't too bad either! :drinking1:

Renee don't listen to Grumbo! We love company over here! But it's BYOS ( bring your own souffle)

Maybe Grumbo gets a little cranky now & then 'cuz rumour has it he never takes a break at work.... :p

I read on the general boards that as of 6/12, DCL is giving free soda on Deck 9 at the drink station. If anyone booked with AAA, they are giving stateroom credits in lieu of the soda mugs.

Anyone book with AAA? Call your TA to get details... I wonder how much the credit will be for the 14 day. Other posted said they got $75 per stateroom for 2 adults on the 7 day- cool, huh!

Not so sure this cruise is sold out as there are cabins available on Orbitz. Makes me wonder what is up with the DCL site. Maybe they are sick of me checking it out all the time:) :hyper:

Maybe they are holdoing back some availability for DVC, not....:smooth:

Inclusive soda is a good thing, bummer for me as I don't drink it anymore.:( The ice tea is good. :D

Strange question, but is milk inclusive? I thought I read on the general cruise board that it is included at dinner, but is no longer free with room service; and I have no idea if it was ever availble on Deck 9.

Got Milk?

When we cruised in April, milk was available thru room service no charge & also on Deck 9. Perhaps it has changed? The milk cartons delivered with room service were very small.

Where is everybody? We were in danger of going to page 2!!!!

Anybody still cruising with me?????

Milk has been available at the drink station 24 hours a day as long as I can remember.

Maybe Dis got tired of everyone bringing their own soda on board because they refused to pay ridiculuously high prices. Can you imagine the aluminum cans and bottles for recycling? Sounds like a smart idea to have a fountain up on deck 9 to me! Now, all I will have to bring is my 64 oz. refill mug!

Diet Coke......here we come!

Linda

Have the day off doing work stuff here at home. Lynn has to work.

Cold and rainy here , snowed on the Mt peaks above 8,000 ft. Dogs have very muddy paws. Will be performing a wedding tomorrow for a past co-worker and friend. Hope the weather improves.

Wish the Amazon order would come so I could read up about Pirates and the Canal.

Wish it were Monday so I would know about the DVC point thing. We are going either way. Personally I like using our points before paying cash.

Really happy for those folks at WDW, wish we were there. Anyone interested in buying a snowblower, it comes with a free house, then we could move to FL.

Scott-good luck Monday am with the DVC points! I called the minute they opened when we converted over to points for the 10 day Christmas Cruise! I'll be sending pixie dust your way Monday a.m. Let us know the outcome!

Linda

HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!!!

Scott, you are performing in a wedding? Are you a musician?

I also saw that there are cabins available for our cruise on Expedia as well as Orbitz. I am pretty sure all those "travel" websites book those rooms from DCL - so that's why DCL shows that the cruise is booked solid. I wonder if there will be cabins available closer to the time when full payment is due. If so, do you think they'll be less than what the rest of us paid?

I can't believe it's already June! Gosh, next month my "baby" will be 7, and in September I'll be 30!!! Then comes Halloween (my favorite holiday), Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc.

Before we know it we'll be sailing thru the Panama Canal!!!

I still can't believe how excited I am and this cruise is still like 11 months away!

Jindy~ I laughed so hard when I saw your "Kelly Rippa" comment on the other thread... :p Yes, she is irritating. I could handle Regis, but not her. I don't watch ABC at all, so I don't know what other annoying people they could recruit. If Star Jones comes, she better be handing out coupons to Payless, or some cute summer sandals. :) Then I'll stop and chat....

We had Don "Ducky" Williams on our April cruise. He's Disney's chief illustrator... He drew Ariel & autographed it for Taylor. He did Tinkerbelle for Tay's friend. They were thrilled! I'd rather have cute sandals...

Personally, I could without celebs. Just Mickey, Minnie and the gang for the little kids...

I think Allseas has the Roy Suite for both Canal cruises. Whoever booked with them on this trip needs to let us know when the party is! We need to crash it as a DIS group! I want to see the inside of one of those suites...

BTW- has anyone done a head count? How many of us are there?

Linda ~ Free soda will be nice. I don't drink much of it , but my other two do. It will be nice not to lug it on board, just some mugs- gosh we have a ton of those things from the resorts & cruises. Perhaps Disney felt that since they charge more than other cruise lines, they need to add some extra value to the cruise. Soda costs them pennies a day per guest, so I'm sure they'll find a new profit center somehow... I wonder what they'll start charging for now to replace the soda money ...
