Happy Birthday, Peter! Here are links to hotels directly along the crosswalk into the DL Resort:

Best Western Park Place Inn (1544 S. Harbor)
www.parkplaceinnandminisuites.com

Tropicana Inn & Suites (1540 S Harbor)
www.bei-hotels.com/new_trop_1a.htm

Carousel Inn and Suites (1530 S. Harbor)
www.carouselinnandsuites.com

Park Vue Inn (1570 S. Harbor)
www.parkvueinn.com

Park Inn and Suites Anaheim (1520 S. Harbor)
www.parkinn-anaheim.com

Please keep in mind that these hotels are 3 star hotels, at best. So at $70 - $89 bucks; you get what you pay for. They're NOT the Grand Californian, but they have been excellent places for me to stay everytime I go down there. Besides, when I go to Disneyland, I don't go to hang out in my room all day! ;)

You generally want to stay within this range (1520-1570) on South Harbor to be DIRECTLY across the street.

Check out getawaytoday.org and Expedia.com for pricing and address locations, then go directly to the hotels' websites for the best rate.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your bday!!!

Happy Birthday Peter! :bday:

Thanks to Disney for our Anniversary present! :cheer2: We will be sailing away on our 29th Anniversary in 2005. Guess we should try to go to Palo that night huh? Sure wish it was tomorrow instead of a YEAR from tomorrow!! Wouldn't it be nice if they gave us an upgrade for our anniversary??? THAT would be a REAL surprise!
Can't imagine doing both repositioning cruises! ... combined that's almost a whole month on the Magic! I don't want to give up the Christmas cruise though... I'm really looking forward to that too. We sailed a few years ago the week before Christmas on the Eastern and it was so beautiful. The ship all decorated for the holidays was just a sight to see.
I'm also trying to squeeze one in between now and Christmas... I don't want to wait that long!!!! My biggest problem is not time but finding a dog sitter or a great kennel. :confused3:
Jeff, you live in the area... do you know of any great boarding facilities? Any help or recommendations would be appreciated!! Anyone else in Central FL with any recommendations??? I'd love some input on this... we would rather have them up there so we can drop them at the last minute and get them as soon as we get off the ship!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETER!!!!

Just think, we should all be trekking to Florida right now next year, if we haven't done so already! Can't wait for tomorrow for that official one year countdown!

Jeff-you are awesome, I just can't say that enough. The stuff is looking great!

Okay, work to do.

Linda

:hyper:

He is pretty awesome ::yes::

We don't live in Orlando, but the Tampa area. We do have a puppy hotel we put our beagles in that is worth the drive. It's called Almost Home Pet Resort, they have a pool, puppy playground and spoil the dogs rotten.
Puppy Paradise

Jen: Thanks for the recommendation. I will definately check out the website and talk it over with DH. We're going up over the Memorial Day weekend so we may do some research then as well. It might be worth the drive to Tampa though if you think it's very good. About how long does it take to get from there to WDW? Haven't been to that area at all. Is it a pretty straight shot on I-4?

From the puppy place, its real simple.

You'd get on I-4 at exit 14. It would take about 10 minutes to get to I-4 from there.

Disney is exit 62

Just wanted to "check in" and say hello to everyone! Haven't been on the boards much this week, but I can tell if I'm going to keep up with this group, daily visits to the thread are a must!

Great job on the magnets, Jeff.

Forgive me if it's already discussed, but are we talking about T-shirts, too? I think that would be great.

The Fairfield Inn is right across the street also (1460 S. Harbor Blvd.) we usually pay somewhere between $59-$79 a night, depending on the time of year.

Don't forget Priceline. Here is a list of the 3-star hotels that participate w/Priceline. We usually get assigned the Marriott or Hyatt. Once we got the Coast Anaheim. We've never paid more than $50, and usually get bids accepted in the $30-40 range.

3 Star
Anaheim Marriott
Coast Anaheim
Hilton Anaheim
Hyatt Regency Orange County Alicante
Sheraton Anaheim Hotel
Crowne Plaza Resort
Anabella Hotel
Marriott Anaheim Suites
Hilton Suites Anaheim/Orange
Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange County
Radisson Maingate-Anaheim

Hi everyone

I was just wondering how many are doing both the Christmas cruise and the westbound repositioning cruise. I know that seaulater and I are doing both.

Ken

Thank u all..

for the Birthday wishes and the Hotel info...

I think across the street will be fine for one night as we have to fly home on Sunday...

to be home for work on Monday..

And doing both is not going to happen just to much ...

As I was looking at a new vehicle today.......NEW TO ME

Not that there is anything wrong with my 1989 chevy pickup....

 That's funny, Robin! I was thinking the same thing...

After 14-nights on the cruise though, I have to admit, I think I'll be ready to head home. I don't want to pack to unpack to pack again. I think it will take me 3 days to decompress and get back into work/school mode.

But for you guys who live so far away, it makes sense to stick it out through the Memorial Day weekend.

Finally, I'll introduce our family.

We are definite on this reposition cruise. Me (Sandra -42) DH43, DS9, and DD6 (at cruise date)

We will be in a Cat 6 gty with Main seating.

I can't believe we are going! And, we are very excited!

I hope you all arean't too chatty this next week, I'll never get caught up!! ;-)

Keith and I are off in the morning to get our niece and head south!! We're doing a day at WDW, then the 4 day Wonder cruise, then a day at WDW and a day at Universal.

Take care, everyone, and I'll study hard and get caught up quickly when we get back!!

Kelli

Ok so we can stay 2 nights in CA. and fly home on Monday...
yipee thank u Jin pointing that out...

Im a local 4 union employee.. in construction,
Surveyor no working holidays for this Guy Unless u want to pay TRIPlE time .....

Beav, I agree with you about the Tshirts. We should look into that! I know I read a post ages ago how Verandaman did his. Sounds easy enough once we have the design. Compusa sells transfer sheets. Once we have the design, we all could print our own at home! Something to think about.

Robin

Robin, MUCH MUCH better to go with silk screen.

I speak from experience.

Printed off a copy so far. Here's the changes I'm working on now that I've seen it in ink.

1. Sides of the print are very stark. Need some type of fill

2. Need a better copy of the mexican flag. The crest looks very poor next to the gautemala flag which has a very VERY sharp crest.

3. The map needs to be cleaned up. Its not as bad as I thought, but the words and the line showing the travel area needs to be sharpened.

4. The cruise logo at the top needs to be sharpened up. It is very VERY rough compared to the rest of the text.

5. The watermarked cruise logo needs to be a hair less opaque.

6. The castles need a touch of cleaning, particularly sleeping beauty.

I did change the dates to May 14-28 (dropping the th's)

I'm open for suggestions for the sides. I've thought of watermarking some PC pictures, but haven't found anything great yet.

Update image is up at http://www.tiggerfan.net/canal/door2.html

3 is partially done, 4,5,6 are done. Haven't touched 1 or 2 yet.
