I still remember our visit to DL on Memorial day... just after PC cruise. Boy was that FUN, but, boy was that CROWDED!

Hi, We're on the 2008 Panama Canal cruise. I just popped over here to ask if any of youwho are still posting went to DL after the cruise on Memorial Day. I saw this and wondered if you could tell me more.

Our cruise lands on the Sunday, so we probably wouldn't boither that day, but would go Monday and Tuesday. Any tips? Also how did you all get to the parks.

What happened about car hire places for those needing a hire car?

Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Leslie and Joe, congrats on surviving the wedding, we were thinking about you on our trip.

Catherine and Lesley, great to see both of you posting!

Had a great trip, now trying to deal with a 6 hour time change! Have to unpack and go pick up the dogs as soon as the kennel opens.

Lynn :eeyore:

Hi Kids,

Elaine, thanks for the wedding pictures, good proud parents.

Leslie and Joe, I hope all is returning to normal for you. We missed ya.

Hey Lynn and I just signed up for the WDW ½. Scary huh!!! See ya there. Will be staying at AKL. May be a party is in order?????

Getting back into normal life, if there is such a thing, is not much fun. Wish we were all with the folks still on the Back to Back. Wish I could sleep in till my normal 5:00 AM.

Had 59 hours of work in by Friday at 2:00 so I was outta there, nothing like returning and hitting the ground running, had a short road trip.

We have a Robins nest in the new barn, with an unknown number of little feathery dudes. No door on the barn yet so when it gets put in we will have to leave it open till the little guys leave the nest. Will start getting stuff together for in inside.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply!

I don't remember the name of the van transportation, but we had 4 couples packed into a van with ALL of our 14 day luggage. A tight but happy fit!;)

We stayed on property at DL, so walking to the parks wasn't a problem. Joe and I stayed at Grand Californian. It was BEAUTIFUL. We also took the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, which was also very informative and fun. We were able to book outdoor seating for the nightly "Fantasmic" show along the Bayou. Because the park was so very crowded, we decided to do the tours. That way we knew we would be able to see things in spite of the crowds.

Feel free to PM me if you have more questions. You will have FUN!:yay:

Georgie (and everybody else) Since you are speaking of the BBQ, I have a question... Does anybody have a picture of the chefs at the BBQ? I'm FINALLY doing my canal day pages, and I can't find that print or the picture on my albums. Since that was such an important part of the day, I really want to include it. So far, I have 16 pages from that day, with about 8 more to do. It's bringing back so many great memories!!!

Leslie, congrats on making it through the wedding! Now you guys can relax and enjoy the silence...for a minute, at least!

miss you all,
Renae

Leslie, that picture of you guys is great! Guess what? I had the EXACT same color of dress for Nick's wedding! Not an easy color to match, but nice to wear...

Thanks very much for the reply. I will have a look at the tours.

Georgie, it was Red Van, that Red Van that we used to get to the GC after the cruise, I recall booking it online.

Hope that helps.

Hi Everybody. Just checkin' in to see what everyone's been up to!

We just got back from Mouse Beach... hanging pictures, got some new furniture too. Had to call a plumber to fix a leak! :sad2: It's finally feeling like ours now.:thumbsup2

Joe's Coca-Cola sign if finally up in the kitchen. I'll try to post a picture. I hope it's still on the wall when we get back in August. That thing is HEAVY! :rotfl: Our Panama Canal menus came back from the framing store, and look really nice. Now we have to get them down to Florida, and up on the walls.

We saw the shuttle go up on Friday night! We were on MainStreet in the Magic Kingdom. It was the neatest thing. I was surprised at the visibility being so good for so far away. It was a real fireball. Everyone was cheering and clapping. :yay:

Star Wars Weekend was FUN, but very hot weatherwise.

Enjoy summer everyone. Okay, I'm a bit early with that, but in Florida, it sure felt like summer.

Georgie, I'm glad someone got this thread out of neverland, I was going to find it and post on it today to do just that, but you beat me to it. Glad to hear that the Mouse House is shaping up. You might get moved in there before we consider ourselves moved into here in Cheyenne. Once the pole barn gets done and we have storage space, then things will really start to move forward.

To everyone, hi. Things are going well here in Cheyenne.

I think she is doing Mouse Fest

Yes AP expires December 7. So planning on early December. But I am waitlisted  I had forgotten to do my 11 month reservation window. Then we were on the cruise for the 7 month window. I finally got around to calling this past week and there is NOTHING for December 2-9. (Well I could have booked Dec 8 & 9. So I am waitlisted and we shall see. I am sure a studio will come through.

Wish you all were going to be there in December :(

Debbie

Happy Father's Day all!
You doggie daddies too. :dogdance:

Nice morning here. 73 and a bit humid already, but it is nice.:surfweb:
Thought I'd sleep in, but puppy bellies have their own schedule.

Hope everyone has a great day.
