A Blizzard is happening here. Wind has been averaging about 30 MPH since yesterday morning. Worked closed at 3:00 yesterday and it was a real trip driving. Supposed to have about 10” plus of snow, glad I did not sell the snow blower. Transmission was acting up on it last night so I got that all fixed a ready for when it is time to dig out. Several of the highways are closed. Was ordered not to show up at the office until 10:00 AM and call before we leaving the house.

So I get to enjoy the morning here at home with Lynn and the pups. KEWL!!!! Might just have to have some real oatmeal. Irish steel cut oats, good stuff.

Lynn is still busy unpacking the house and doing a great job. We still can’t figure out how there is no room for stuff moving to a larger house. It’s a storage thing.

Hope you all are ready for the season, I still have some stuff to do and then there is Walmart for the day after stuff. New House needs new lights, just not sure how to decorate given the wind here.

Enjoy the day, your loved ones, your furry loved ones, and I for one am thankful for getting to meet all you great people.

Merry Christmas everybody! I feel like I have fallen off of the face of the earth!!

Things have been busy here- I started doing some management training, which has made me physically exhausted. We also did a quick trip down to WDW last weekend to see my sister for the weekend and do MVMCP- and we had a great time.

We are looking forward to coming down for the marathon- Robb will be doing the full and I will be doing the half. Hopefully, we will see some of the crew while we are down there.


I would like to thank everyone who sent us holiday greetings! Due to my lack of timing this year- I will be doing New Year's cards.


I would also like to ask that everyone keep my mother in their thoughts and prayers on Wednesday. On Thursday, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she will be having surgery in Salt Lake on Wednesday. I've kind of been walking around in a fog for the past few days- but, I'm finally starting to feel like my old self again. We could use some positive energy!


I hope everyone has had a safe and happy holiday! I have been blessed to have gotten to know you all!

Hi Guys, had a great Christmas. Up early to get to Walmart at 0600 for lights for the new place. Watch out Jennings Osbourn…….

Kinda off from work this weeks as it is a use the time or loose it. Will go in for a little bit, but plan on spending time getting the house together a little bit more.

Just a little more than 30 days till we leave for DLP and Tanzania. Lot to do to get that together.

Celeste, our thoughts are with ya.

We watched the WDW parade. Noticed they had Samantha Brown announcing VAKL, and making her an honorary member.

“Forever Young” for sure……Lynn got me some kewl POC stuff.

Went to Walmart and scored a whole bunch of decorations for the house for Christmas next year, icicle lights and stuff for the front yard.

I'm so sorry to hear about Kay. I got her card and haven't had time to contact her since. I'll try to find out more and post.


I also wanted to let everyone know that my mother made it through surgery today and my hospital was very nice to let me have the day off. (You can't be a good nurse if your mind is somewhere else.) I'm anxious for the final pathology of the lymph nodes- none appeared to be involved per testing, but they took some to test.

For those that know Kay (KRDisneybound) and Harry, here is the latest:

I called Kay today to find out how she and Harry are doing. As many of you know, Kay had surgery earlier this month. She was home from the hospital, however, she was unable to even hardly get to her front door and couldn't walk. She was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale and the doctor had to open her back up from her surgery because she now has an infection from the surgery. She is in isolation and has an open wound on her stomach which she thinks is going to be open for 3-4 weeks. She was very positive on the phone and said she is going to beat this thing!

As many of you know, her husband, Harry, has been battling cancer, and he had developed some blood clots in his lung so he was in the hospital and the doctors were thinning out his blood. She expected that he was going to go back home (maybe today from the way it sounded.)

That's the latest. Please send pixie dust their way! I know our family will keep them in our prayers.
