Hello all,

Haven't even been lurking here much lately. Sadly we lost Ron's mom in early November. She suffered a series of strokes in October while undergoing angioplasty. It was a difficult Christmas. But we're hoping that this will be a brighter year.

Celeste, we will keep your mom in our prayers.

The same goes for Kay and Harry.

Lee, happy happy birthday!!!

Linda, if you do happen to organize a meet to see Mary Poppins, please count us in!

Hope everyone has a healthy and happy new year, and I hope to see you all again on a cruise!

Would be a neat trip to go again, but probably won't make it as we have a big trip already planned for 2008 in the spring.

Not sure , Bob. Would love to go. Billy doesn't tolerate being away from school that well. He is , however, doing very well. So is Kristen. If it actually happens, will have to see if it can be done. No suite this time.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!

We heard there were MANY SUCCESSES!!!

We got to see Shari, Alex + Carolyn running through the Castle at MK!!! They did both the half and the full! GOOD GOING!

I had tears in my eyes just watching them. It was awesome!!!

We also got to see the MGM and the lights + snow one last time with Robert, Linda + Jamie! Yea to Linda + Jamie for completing the half!!! Your medals looked awesome!

We heard from Leslie that Joe did BOTH the 1/2 and the full. GO JOE!!!

Peter + Jenn... HAve a great time on your upcoming cruise with the kids!

We are home, a day late, but not a dollar short! How often does that happen? Flights were overbooked yesterday, so thanks to our lucky stars, we took the bump and got 3, yes 3, $400 vouchers! So we now have $1,200 for future flights in the next year!

YIPPEE!!!!!!

The 1/2 was great. I am sore, but recovering. It was fun with Alex, Carolyn, Shari and I got to see Celeste on Sunday and of course Georgie and Joe on Sat. night and Sunday morning as we cheered on Alex, Carolyn and Shari who did the Goofy Challege and completed the 1/2 and the full marathon!

Okay, work to do.

By the way, on our flight to Orlando last Thursday night, I was sitting one row in front of Tom McAlpin and his wife (in first class). They had been skiing in Park City for the week. He told me to look for the big announcement next week, but then Ken found the info on the boards and shared it with us while we were in Orlando. Just wondering if the Magic is headed back to the west coast or if they will take the Wonder?

Those who wanted Alaska will get their wish. The new ship is supposed to be announced on Jan. 24th with alternating itineraries (Mexico and Alaska) with delivery of the ship to be in 2010.

A Press Event is scheduled for January 24th at the Disneyland Resort. It is expected that they will announce not only the West Coast DCL trips, but also the permanent expansion of DCL to California (new ship).

In addition, per an update on another website, Disney will confirm a number of other poorly kept secrets such as California Adventure's Midway Mania attraction (already under construction), Pirates Lair at Tom Sawyer's Island and DVC in Anaheim.

I decided to do a Dis check today after several months away and was surprised to see PC chatter all over again.

I agree, it's sure bringing back lots of great memories!

JMO of course, but coming from someone who sailed on a cruise with a longstanding thread already well underway (Cruisetoberfest) it was a bit intimidating.

I think it would be fun for the 2008 May Repo cruisers to start a brand new thread.

I know I'd be more than happy to pop in and answer any questions, or offer insights, or whatever... even if we don't cruise again.
