Hey kellib~I was in your 'neck of the woods'! It was a last minute trip but I met my parents in Chyenne and went to Frontier Days! I have never been up there and it is so close to Denver! We had a great time!

I've been busy lately so it has taken me a while to catch up on this thread. I was recently laid off from my job so I've been job hunting and interviewing! Have to love those seemingly endless job interviews! I have a good prospect but I am still waiting for the red tape issues to be completed! So until I get a solid offer I am still looking! But I won't let anything stop me from going on this cruise! I'll apply for the WalMart greeter position if I have to! And I have also been practicing "would you like to biggie size that!!!"

The themes sound fun!

good evening everyone! :wizard:

I am definitely going to need a program for all these events, sail aways and themes. I'll be lucky if I can remember my stateroom number... IF I ever get one!!!

Jen & Scott.. I'm open for anything.. I will be glued to the pin thing 9/9-12 but can meet up somewhere in Epcot those days if need be... The Big Pin Thing (as I call it) is at the Millennium Village... yes, I know they call it something else now but I don't care, it will always be the Millennium Village to me!!

OK I haven't received any emails telling me you junkies are writing messages! :) Guess I'll re-subscribe to the thread. I thought it was odd that no one would be writing...

I'm in Pacific Grove right now. Having too much fun doing nothing. Well if you call walking and shopping and dining doing nothing. Our room is across the street from the ocean, which I hear now pounding against the rocks. This morning, besides the usual sea mammals in the water, there were deer (?) in the little yard wandering and eating, then they proceeded down the sidewalk, probably to talk to the neighbors :) !!

It's sooooo quiet here...no noise, no noisy bugs or animals (frogs, etc)...just the ocean. I'm never going home!

Tomorrow we head up to SF. Back to work for a few days next week, then a few days in NYC...then to work until October :(.

Guess I have to pay for the cruise somehow. I don't seem to make a profit on vacations...quite the opposite!!

Good attitude on the job hunt, Vicki! Good luck! What events did you take in for Frontier Days? We've been to 2 concerts, ZZ Top/Marshall Tucker Band and Chris Cagle/Brad Paisley. Been working too much to go to much else.

I came home and ate and went straight to bed, now its 2am and I'm awake for a bit.

I like the theme thing too. I wonder how many people will be upset they didn't get the "memo"!

I'm so jealous that everyone is taking vacations and all! We just aren't going anywhere (but then that is probably a good thing since I need to payoff the Disney Christmas Cruise in Sept.)
At least I'll have 10 days then. That's a pretty darn good Christmas present, don't you think?

Okay, going to the water park today, got to get a little work done at the office and then I am outta here for the day!!!!!

Happy Friday everyone!

Linda

The other repositioning cruise has designed their own t-shirt for the cruise. Don't know if anyone knows how to do that for our cruise, but would be very nice. Here is the link for anyone interested in trying to design one for our cruise:

Verandah Man has personalized 8.5" X 11" door magnets as well as t-shirts designed for this cruise and that can be personalized on the back.

I'm sure we'll come up with comething.. I liek Jeff's magnet design much better than the t-shirt design that they are using. It's okay, but doens't have the personalization and look of effort that Jeff's has.
We'll get there!

I really like Jeff's design, that is my two peasos, or 2 guilders, or two florins worth. It would make a great pocket design for the front of a shirt.

We need to have movie night on the cruise. We can use someone's laptop or if someone does get a suite or something like that. Everyone (well group) can bring a movie to watch and we'll watch it!
Okay I need to stop planning this cruise when I still have another one before it!

EXCELLENT Princess Bride reference.

BTW, I'm very open to critique on the magnet. If you want to see some changes or don't like the way things are going, we can always change it. I am however pretty adamant that they'll be given out only a couple of weeks before the sailing (and really at the cruise terminal line that morning is the most fun) since we have a LOT that could change. I'm not going to clean up some of the minor issues with the map right now because I know it will change dramatically before the cruise. I have a VERY serious feeling that 4 sea days in a row is not happening.

As far as t-shirts go, and I speak from a LOT of experience, putting a lot of colors on a t-shirt means it either is a cruddy iron-on or a very expensive silk screen. Single color silk screens are dirt cheap though, and even a few colors is not bad. The very high quality iron-ons are expensive and I've never seen one locally produced for anything I've ever done (And I've done a lot of t-shirts). If you want something you'll only wear on the cruise, then we could do it real cheap. I however have scavenger hunt t-shirts from 4 years ago that look new and they are single color silk-screen.

Ooo! Line parties!!!!! I love the line party!!!!! We met some of our greatest friends last year in the line party, it's soooooo much fun. We'll be at the port probably as the Magic is disembarking from the last cruise!
I agree with Jeff about the t-shirts. Zazzle is asking way to much for them. Every year we do a Scavenger Hunt/ Race through Disney and make t-shirts. The ones from 4 years ago still look good. Very simple black on grey (last year we went black on red.. ooooooo). We have a local compnay do it for us. We can still do the zazzle or cafe press (I'm hearing not s good things about zazzle from the other cruise) for anyone who does want a full color. Of course if we get 500 people who wants a shirt we can go for the mass production stuff cheap....

Any shirt is fine with me. Would prefer that it last for a good long time, so we can wear it after getting off the ship and if one color does that, that would be great.

Printed some recently for our pin trading club in Chicago, with 4 colors and on a heavyweight Hanes shirt, got them for about $12.00 each and they have held up great after washing a dozen times. A guy that works for me printed them through a relative and they were very nice.

Woo Hoo!
You guys have been busy this week...theme parties, movie nights, t-shirts and line parties. :thewave:
What a fun group!

Jen- that Scavenger Hunt/ Race sounds like a blast. I would love to hear more about it.

I spoke with my Mom this morning and she casually asked if we were getting excited about the cruise....GETIING excited? I started giggling because with the amount of time we spend talking about it and planning for it you would think it was next month not next May. I think my Mom thinks we are a bit nuts.
She might be right::yes::

Jeff- the magnet is looking great. I think your smart waiting until much closer to the cruise to finalize things....things could change a couple of times between now and then.

Danica, It's something Jeff started the year we moved to Florida (because there really isn't anyone from Florida, we all move here  )
The Hunt covered all 47 sq miles of Disney that an average guest could get to without breaking any rules. We usually did about 80% of the resorts all the major parks plus Downtown Disney. It lasted 12 hours and was not meant to be completed. The best anyone ever did was complete about 70% and they had a bunch of wrong answers.
Last year we got tired of the Hunt theme (we were running out of questions... Did you know you could find a copy of Madame Bouvery at MGM, well until they chnaged that display?) so we went to an Amazing Race theme. 47 sq miles, 12 hours with 2 hour long breaks during and we sent them everywhere. And I do mean everywhere. Catherine from the other repo cruise was one of our cohorts. This year is the same thing, another Race, it's alot easier to make, coming up with 1200+ questions each year got to be a bit much, and easier on the participants. So if anyone wants to partake this year it'll be the Monday after Mousefest at Disney this year.

Jeff, That T-shirt is great!! :hyper:

I love what you've done with the magnet, too!

Jen, I was on a boat from Ft. Wilderness with Amy and some others doing your hunt last Dec....I know I couldn't handle it! I like Disney, but I'd rather let things happen to me. Plus, I can't keep track of things like I used to be able to!!

Kelli

I am wondering why kingdom to kingdom? I know that at Disney World it is called the Magic Kingdom, but out in CA I don't think it is called that. I like the design and everything, but I am just wondering if what is being said is accurate. I know that World to Land tour doesn't sound great. Just my opinion.
