Happy Holidays

I need not have worried about the Maps and Pins.
A nice DHL lady in a bright yellow uniform delivered 2 sets to us this morning ,so they are reaching the UK.I was very pleased with the Pins ,and will add these to my framing list.

Hey...

Who's computer savvy? I posted this as a sep thread on the community board, but I need my 'friends' to help me. Our hard drive crashed on our second computer. The one that the kids and James play games on. Buying a hard drive isn't the best answer, buying a new tower/CPU/??? would be. But what is big enough to accomodate my DH's role playing games (i.e. Baldur's Gate, Civil War, ???, etc.) without freezing, hiccuping, being slow, etc. He gets so frustrated trying to play them on this one, a Pentium III...

I looked on ebay and there are something called 'gaming or gamers' but they're like 2 grand! Hey, I might miss a cruise if I have to spend that much! :rotfl:

Can someone 'splain to me what hard drive, memory, graphics, etc. that I need to be shopping for?

Gracias!
Kendra

I know a young computer whizzkid who can probably give you a definitive answer .I have PM'd you his E Mail address.

Hi, Carol! How could you miss us?!? :goodvibes Actually, we've recently moved over here...like yesterday, maybe? We've been on the DCL board. This is mostly the group that did the westbound repositioning cruise in May...we can't quit talking, so we got moved instead of disbanded!!!

Welcome!

Thanks for the replies. It is great you guys are staying together, where ever you are. Aren't you glad they ended the 150 page rule?

Hi Bob and Lee ,hope everythings going good.
Pink Floyd were really good, also the WHO.
It brought back memories.I went to a free concert in London In 1969,in one of the other parks (Parliament Hill Fields )and Pink Floyd were on about 3am.Happy days of my youth.
Karen went to a free concert in Hyde Park in 1969 of the Rolling Stones.

In fact there used to be lots of Free Concerts in the 60's.Not any more.

Ashley and Karen
Hi Ashley and Karen.
Thought about you guys when I was watching the concert.
Free concerts? Don't believe anyone knows the concept anymore. Buffett plays for free at his restaurants. Believe he did an impromtu show in Panama a month before we got there. Jimmy in Panama

I have seen REO Speedwagon and Stix for free when they were first starting out. Later in life, when I decided to go back to school, I saw Journey and the Babies (sp?) when a student won some sort of a contest for a free concert. That's about the extent of the free stuff.

Racing around to come up behind you again.

My friend won free tickets to a benefit concert Elton John was doing in Laramie a few years ago. I slept through the first half....2nd half, he did all his "hits"--didn't sleep through that!

Free tickets to a benefit? Isn't that counterproductive?

Hey,, did you guys know that this thread was moved? I have kind of kept track of it distantly due to Angela's surgery. She is okay but not walking. I hope I still get notices of posts.
Bill
WELCOME BACK DR BILL!
Give Angela our best wishes.

Kay,

I'll be happy to say hi on Wed. but don't worry about trying to see me, I totally understand what being really busy does to a schedule!

Did I understand that our thread has been moved to the community board? Do we have a new name?

Renae

Hello Bill!

If you want to use travel insurance, I recommend Travel Guard Intl. I've used them before and had to make a claim, and they did wonderfully. I used them again this time, and with my fall, I'm going to send them a pile of papers soon.. they are very cooperative!

He was given a computer programming book, C++, and he is studying it immensely. Unbelievable.
Next,
Bill
Now, I'm impressed. I hated C++. By the time I got around to learning it, I was getting to old to learn new concepts. Now, I don't remember any of it. :confused3

If you use Webshots on your computer, you may want to check this out! Today, (July 4th) they have a photo essay at WDW. Lots of fireworks (just skimmed and it looks like just Wishes) and some parade pics.

Wish I was sitting in Georgie's front yard, or MK!!! :goodvibes

Excusses, excusses :rotfl: take some steroids and get your shoulder done, just request they place a morphine drip via epidural catheter in your shoulder for the first 24 hours so you don't get adhesions- I posted my future trip dates- one page prior.

Yes, I am going to walk the marathon and YES we had a great brunch!
I sent my parents my relief bands (the sea sickness ones) for their trip to alaska.
Celeste

DR BILL,
I'll do the 1/2 marathon if you do. And I've got bad knees.
