Hey Georgie...
After living on the eastcoast, I have some recommendations- for flying to London.
Until this year, I have gone to London every March- as my parents used to live there. I was ALWAYS able to find airfare for less than $400.00 RT in March out of Boston, and the deals out of NY were always atleast $100.00 less. If possible, I would recommend flying either Virgin, British Airways, or American- as these carriers have the most leg room and best service...with the British carriers being better than American. (I always flew by myself with Noah...overnight)
March is a great time to go...as it is already spring there and much warmer than Boston ever was around this time frame. Also....no crowds and you are still able to get good prices on hotel and airfare.
Good Luck....just remember that "english" isn't "english" there- sometimes I would stare blankly at people trying to figure out what they were asking me....and it wasn't the usual "lift" versus "elevator" stuff (I know those translations)- they use different slang and that got me confused.
Go see the sites- it's worth it. (You could also take the chunnel to France and see EuroDisney.)
Thanks Celeste! Hey... March '06 will be 10 years for us. You never know! Thanks for all the flying tips! Maybe we will take a stab at stretching our comfort zone! The only place we've been going has been DCL, WDW or DL
