We've waited for this day to come,

To welcome you, dear little one.

It's hard to believe it was only last year

When everyone met and sent up a cheer!

We took the Magic from coast to coast

And made dear friends... Lanyard people, we boast.

We didn't know then that you made that trip too

Right along with your parents, to the Canal, and on through.

You're the best souvenir your folks got on that trip.

Looking back, the 9 months have passed pretty quick.

Your cruise Aunts and Uncles are glad you've arrived.

We're thankful you're healthy. We're bursting with pride.

::lovestruc WE LOVE YOU STEVE AND AMY!!! :lovestruc WELCOME DEAR EMMA GRACE!!! :lovestruc

Hi guys!

Just was checking in after a long busy week! The school play is coming along, with a few bumps in the road. We had a surprise visit by the Fire Marshal this week. He decided that all of our completed, hand painted backdrops/flats are too tall and must be 18 inches from the ceiling. He wrote down the dates of our shows and I'm now having nightmares of him coming back opening night and shutting us down. We're scrambling, trying to figure out what to do - cut them down and re-do all the 3D work on them or pop acoustic tiles (if that'd be 'legal' in their eyes, etc.) Anyway..... it's been rough.

On a good note, my brother in law was selected to be a finalist on a radio talk show's contest "Two Strangers & a Wedding". If he's the 'selected' groom, he'll get to MARRY this great sounding woman sight unseen :scared: on the Queen Mary Ship in Long Beach in TWO weeks! Can you imagine? She sounds wonderful and a great match personality wise for him..... but how scary! He's the adventurous outgoing one so this is perfect for him! :teeth: I'll probably have to be interviewed next week on the radio by the Bride, so wish me luck! :cheer2:

Have a Great weekend everyone!

Kendra

Gosh Kendra... You've been busy and then some. :faint: Those "bumps" sound more like deep potholes!!! What a bummer to have to adjust your artwork. Good luck with the Fire Marshal. Do they do that with all school plays??? Gee! I know the play will be a success. :thumbsup2 That's great of you to invest your time and talents.

Hey that's something with your BIL. Did you do your interview yet? How did you make out? I tried to cast a vote for Max, :Pinkbounc but the link was no more. :confused3

Congratulations Steve and Amy! Welcome Emma Grace!!! We are glad to hear that everything went well and everyone is doing great! I can't wait to see the photos. I was thinking how cool it was that Steve took the time to call Elaine, that really shows that some wonderful friendships were made on the cruise! Welcome to the no sleep club!!! I really didn't feel well rested until Noah was three.... :rotfl2: If Amy decided to belong to the no bottle club, feel free to email with questions- I almost decided to be a lactation consultant rather than an ICU nurse. (I have two loves in the medical word, Women's health issues and critical care)

Kendra,
Well, your brother is an attorney- does he get to draw up prenuptials? If they decide to get divorced, atleat he will be able to do it quickly. I was able to vote yesterday, but I did have to fish for the link before you posted the new one today. I was surprised to see all of the high profile jobs they had for the groom. What is so special about this Doris that she gets a wealthy husband? I don't remember is there was a physician listed there- but they ALWAYS have lots of debt from school and unless they are a specialist, they will be in debt for a while. One of the residents I work with who will be finished in July is $980,000 in debt and tells me that he had creditors calling him all the time. Good thing he is a brain surgeon- he will make over 1 million in the first year. :worship: He is moving to Columbus Ohio- if anyone needs a good neurosurgeon, let me know. :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Quincy pixiedust: pixiedust:

The weather here in Ontario has been pretty cold lately...the wind-chill alone today was -13º F...so not really walking weather...but I found something to let me still get my walk in, in the comfort of my family room...

I picked up a DVD called Walk Away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone. I picked up the one mile walk DVD but she also has a DVD for a 2 mile walk and a 3 mile walk....let me tell you they are fabulous...I was winded and sweating when I finished the 1 mile walk...and I didn't have to bundle up to walk...

I own these, however I don't use them very often. Lately, I am using the treadmill and watching videos. It is too cold here to go outside as well. However with this working nights thing, I am really screwed up with my schedule. I decided to take a week to adjust to the new schedule and take it easy with the exercising....my body is trying to get sick. (I can officially say I don't like them lemon lime airborne, makes me want to hurl. I do like the other flavor and I am a fan of the Zicam nasal swabs) I went to be last "night" at 4 am- very weird to go to sleep when it is starting to get light outside. :guilty:

Hola everyone! :grouphug:

Georgie - no, this was a 'special' surprise visit just to the school. Then they stumbled into the auditorium and discovered all our hard work  Trying not to ruin the long weekend with worrying about it :scared: All will work out I'm sure, but I'm telling you ALL right now, I will NOT produce again next year. When this is said and done, it'll have been a 7 month full time volunteer commitment. :headache: :worried: Way too much for my family and for an elementary school play. From now on, I'll find a community theatre group if my kids want to act. ;)

As for my BIL, he said no to a prenuptial. The nut job. :confused3 To each his own I guess :scratchin I just want to see my in-laws sitting there watching their baby getting married to a stranger :hyper:

Hey Celeste, I'm going to be coming to Chicago for the International Housewares convention in a few weeks. Staying at the Sheraton Towers I think it's called. Can you recommend any places to dine in the immediate area? Being from California, I know I'll be dying there :crazy2: and not wanting to stray too far. Have to go shopping just to buy more warm clothes!

Kendra

Elaine,

Do you do it on a treadmill? Is the treadmill hooked up to the DVD player somehow? That's an interesting concept... Eric and I are slowly lengthening our walks, and since the weather is still cool, though today hit 80... we love to go for our walks to the nearest resorts. They're so beautiful! I still need to get a pedometer so I can see how the miles add up!

Did you scrappers see that the big expo in Tampa is the last weekend in March this year instead of may? I'm not going this time because we will be in Linda's scrapbook heaven the first of May, but these are really good ones!

Renae

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO QUINCY!!!!!! Congratulations too!!!!!

Kendra,
You are so lucky to get to go to the housewares show! We watch it every year on TV and keep adding things to the want list when we finally build out house... When you get back, can you give all of us a little taste of what it was like to be there?

Celeste,
I'm sending you an email
Renae

:sunny: GOODDD MMORNINGGG :sunny:
Beautiful morning here. :coffee: Just 3° though. :cold:
Been a busy 3 day weekend so far. A wedding in La Porte was the biggie yesterday. Cold and snowy trip. Wedding was nice. Reception too. Open bar. :thumbsup2
A lot to do today. Shopping, NASCAR, and visit a Parrothead phlocking later this evening.

30 Weeks to go for the 11 day cruise! :cool1:
Probably crawl by. Think I will keep the same pirate name- Capt. Jolly Mon Morgan. pirate:

Everyone have a great rest of the weekend.

Quincy wanted to give everyone a big hug for all the birthday wishes. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

She loved all the balloons, bouncing icons and colorful images!

Oh No Celeste!!! Don't get SICK!!!

With your schedule, I'm surprised you're not sick more often! I've had to take Airborne a couple of times last week... seemed to have done it's thing.

Get Better. When it's this cold outside, it's hard to get out. We had 60 degrees on Thursday... this morning it was 12! BRRRR :cold:
