Yelled at ?? Moi?? I somehow do not recall that ....:rotfl2:

Sign me up for the REPO!! With a 14 night itinerary... there have got to be a couple stops in there somewhere. Right now you can do a repo to Barcelona from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami for less than $1200!!!. Of course that is not Disney. My guess it will be closer to $3000 which is outrageous. :scared1: I'd like to do the first Med also... but I have to think about paying for a wedding in 2007 too. At least that's what Erin keeps telling me. :confused3 If we get in on day one like last time.. it might not be toooo bad. Wonder if we'll be able to get anything out of them on our cruise in March.

Wow, that's a great thought Leslie! And for those of you who are cruising in September... maybe there will be discounts for you too! ;)

Maybe we should switch our stay at SSR in March for a cruise and take our chances on a future discount!!!

Our first choise will probably br the repro on the 12th.

Hey Ken, maybe we can still use the lanyards from the PC repro and white out the dates!!! ;)

Leslie...you could hint to Erin...that you and Joe are being forced to go on the Mediterranean cruise in 2007 and she'll have to wait until 2008 to get married!!!!! :bride: :groom:

Like I said... I do not recall.....:rotfl2: Besides.. that was only because it was closed for some other thing... not because I didn't have a diamond pass... And effectively ignoring him WORKED didn't it...:woohoo:

Oh yeah.. THAT will go over like a lead balloon...:crazy2: She told me today that her tax person said she better get married or buy a house next year or he can't help her anymore....LOL She makes too much... isn't that a shame! :faint: Maybe SHE can pay for the wedding... or give US the cruise as a Thank you.....::yes::

I think it sounds exciting and would be a once in a lifetime cruise....but as much as I would LOVE to do the 14 day it will all depend on the cost. What about you, Debbie....

P.S. congrats on your DVC ownership!!!!!

Speaking of the DVC... I wonder how many points the Repo cruise would be...:rotfl2: Oh Scoooott..... can we borrow a a zillion points?? :rotfl: Wait.. I forgot .. you're going on Safari again......
Let's see.. if we bank 2006, plus 2007 and borrow 2008.... maybe we'd have enough for one of us in a lifeboat suite.

The infamous once in a lifetime cruise... didn't we say that about this one!!! :rotfl:

I dunno... I am leaning towards the 14 day. And of course this is one week AFTER I buy into DVC :rolleyes2 But then again, a 10 or 11 sounds good too. I want to see if there will be friends aboard before I commit :Pinkbounc Mom even said, I would not want to do this without people we already know. That was the best part of the Repo, being able to walk down the hall and wave to folks that you knew.

Leslie, I KNOW that there would be no way I could bank and borrow enough for a closet LOL!!!! I will have to bank a heck of alot of frequent flyer miles to be able to get first class or at least business class from Europe

Debbie

I know what your Mom is saying...we were scheduled to go on a 7 night cruise in December (which I cancelled) but we thought why would we want to cruise without people we know!!! What's funny is that I think most of us only knew one another from our thread before our cruise and now we couldn't imagine going on a long cruise without everyone...it just wouldn't be the same.

Wonder how many airmiles it would take from Barcelona to Orlando...hmmmmm... I looked on Orbitz for prices of a one way BCN to MCO... wow.. the prices were all over the place from $450 to $1700!!! and that was ECONOMY! With 3 stops and taking like 18 hours!! UGH! I don't even have enough airmiles now to go from FLL to MCO!!!!

Renae, I didn't catch who you were giving the Captain Marvin's advice to but I second the recommendation. It was fantastic! One nice touch is they have an underwater videographer go with you who films the whole thing including each person holding and kissing a stingray. Our videographer also got some incredible shots of a sea turtle swimming alongside us, a neat moray eel we saw. The whole thing was around 45 minutes and was mailed to us shortly after we returned on a DVD.

Now, on to the Mediterranean talk! Money aside, I'm a little iffy on the repo just because I worry it won't have nearly as many ports as the 10 or 11 night. Plus, if a few of the ports end up being on this side of the Atlantic, we figure, why bother spending that kind of money and time going to places like Nassau? I'd rather take a separate cruise to visit those and focus on the Mediterranean ports on this cruise.

Since we probably wouldn't be able to go for much more than two weeks, it would be nice to spend a few days extra to see some of the sights around Paris including the Disney parks.

I'll also be curious to see how far into the Med it goes. Will the repo go all the way to Italy? The May date of the repo is nice though because it falls on our anniversary.

Also, if the only difference between the 10 and 11-night is a day at sea, we could honestly do either of those.

We got an incredible deal on the Panama Canal cruise so I'm hopeful that by being by the phone (and online) the morning they go on sale again, we may be able to get a decent (by Disney standards) deal.

I have the same thoughts that if we are going all the way over there for a Disney cruise, we'd like to cruise with people we know. If not, I don't think we'd bother with Disney this time. I'd rather get a cheaper deal on another line and save Disney for it's usual and more affordable runs.

$28k-29k??? Yikes! We'd have to get a DCL shirt for Emma that says, "I had to forego my Freshman and Sophomore years of college for a cruise and all I got was this lousy T-shirt!" :rotfl2:

One way coach is $1,700! Business First is $3,250!!!! And I would need 90,000 miles to get a free ticket!!! :sad2: One of us could get a free ticket by transferring miles and then just split another ticket.

Debbie

Steve and Renae,
Which tour did you do with Captain Marvin? I can't find the times we are there.. do you have enough time to do the full day tour?? I'm kinda squimish about the stingray thing... esp since my encounter at CC the one time....:rotfl: Seems I'm always having "special moments" on excursions...LOL

Might be cheeper to get a round trip form Barcelona and not use the return. The airfare is going to be a killer for sure. Males me wonder how well these cruises will be received?
We will have to see where we are and if we can pull it off.

Wow! Cruising on the Med! Sounds good to me! :thumbsup2 Michael and will be celebrating our 10th anniversary and had talked about going back to Italy...what a great excuse! pirate:

Leslie and everybody who's interested,

We use All Season's Travel at www.*************.com They are on top of new info for sailings, and if you book with them at full fare and the fare is lowered (florida resident rate) they give you a credit off what you've paid so far. We've been impressed with them and think they are pretty good.

Renae

Boy,
This would really be a tough choice for us... Repo means all those lovely sea days, but the Med means seeing places I've always dreamed about but never thought I'd see. Eric was a missionary in Rome and Sicily, and I'd love to have a chance to see it with him... (shakes hands as if judging weight of decision) I'm going to call all seas and see if they know anything!

I'm with all of you, going on a cruise like that without friends would be boring, lonely, and all the special things would make me wish you were all there...

Renae

Leslie,

I always do the morning half day one, partly to make sure I'm back in time, partly so I have time to shop, and partly because I know that I always forget a spot and sunburn really bad. It's pretty strenuous, with snorkeling at the coral gardens first and then playing with the stingrays, but it's so much fun that I keep doing it over and over! You'll get over your fear of them as soon as you have them slurp a squid off your hand. They love to caress you with their wings as they pass, and it feels like a very gentle massage! Trust me, you will have a great time!!!
Renae

There is going to be a lot of calls to TA's today to see what info they have.

Both dates going over and coming back interfers with school for the families with children and that doesn't seem fair to them. May and Aguust !!!!

What they are going to do is to the Med. and then do one for Alaska afterwards and a bunch of decisions will have to be made.
