I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
You have all been in my heart as I watched the Disney Christmas Parade this morning. I loved the part where they showed the Magic. It was pretty cool.
Robb, Noah, and I finally made it to Narnia this week- the evening after posting the message about my sister. I decided I needed to drown my sorrows in ginger sauce- so Robb took me out to dinner at one of those Japanese teppanyaki places. After dinner, we went to Narnia. We all enjoyed it- as Robb and I took turns reading to Noah. It was pretty true to the book. We are going to start the next volume tomorrow.
I was due to work today, but Robb and I received some more bad news last night. His mother has lymphoma. So, I called the hospital and told them I needed to be home today. We have basically spent the day eating, calling our loved ones, and watching TV. Sitting together and licking our wounds. I'm getting anxious because I am a firm believer that bad news comes in threes- so I'm waitng for the other shoe to drop. But after the past few days, I'm getting pretty numb.
I'm glad we had a wonderful cruise together. It really was the vacation of a lifetime. I am thankful that we all got to meet and spend time together. I also look forward to seeing some of you in September- unless the cruise gets cancelled for a hot tub.
However, like those in WY the past few days have not been horribly bad. 33 tonight- can't complain.
I'm getting ready to go to bed- so I can attend work in the morning and care for others. I think it will help me take my mind off my own problems. Afterall, my problems are nothing compaired to my patients. I am always thankful that I am not a patient- I don't like being on the other side of the coin. (I am also going to take a bath with some of my spa products from the cruise-
)
I hope everyone is well, happy,warm, and safe. You all are kind and wonderful people.
