Alright, Kay! I've got this vision in my head~~~you're all bandaged up like a mummy, and scoot out to the NEW car, just to sit and look and SMELL it......

:rotfl2: Pretty pathetic....please say it isn't that bad......please!!!!

LOL :rotfl: it is sort of funny. I took the crutches instead of the scooter. And it was raining. At least the red and green cast didn't run the colors together when it got a little wet. :rotfl: The leg looks like a candy cane.

It's a sad day here in Canada with the passing of The Great One, Wayne Gretzky's mom, Phyllis.

My Mom and I have had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Gretzky on numerous occassions as the family only live in a town 30 minutes from our house. What a gracious lady. She will be missed by many. :sad1:

Aw...how sad...I'd just heard a couple days ago that he was taking leave to be with her.....I'm glad to know she was a fine lady, there aren't enough of them in this world! :guilty:

Better news here....we found out today that Qwest's former CEO has been indicted on 42 counts of fraud, and I don't recall what else, in the accounting debacle that just about cost a lot of innocent people their jobs and their retirement plans. (You all know at least 2 of them!!!)

I wanted to say hello to my Disfamily.

I also wanted to thank eveyone who was kind enough to send all of the lovely Christmas cards. I enjoy looking at them on my mantle and think of each of you with fondness.

I need to apologize for not sending my own Christmas cards in a timely fashion. I am known for usually sending them the day before or after Christmas. ;) And per my usually routine- they are sitting downstairs waiting to be addressed. ;)

Kay, I am glad to hear that you are doing well. The new car sounds great.

Sadly, I have some very bad news.

My younger sister- my favorite siblings- has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis this week. This is my sister who is due to move to Florida. Needless to say, I am completely and utterly devastated. I feel like my heart has broken into a million pieces. I hate to know how her future will be and I mourn for her. (and her husband and two little girls)

However, I will say that she is very healthy and does not present typically for someone with MS. I have told her about other people I know who have MS- who have active lives (and cruise) and she finds comfort in this.

Thank you for listening- I just needed a sounding board right now.

Celeste, I'm really sorry to hear this news. I'm sure I don't know anything compared to all you people in the medical field, but I do know several people with MS and I think the latest strides in medicine have helped a lot.

I was at an anniversary party early in Nov and there was a lady there that was REALLY having trouble with MS 25 years ago! She looks fabulous, and while she can't do a lot of things, she CAN do a lot of things, too!

Thoughts and prayers are with your sis and her family!! And with a great sis like you, I'm sure she'll handle it beautifully!

I must also say I know of folks with MS who are living great lives, the inner person needs to be strong, this goes a long way in one's life style and how their lives are affected.

Celeste, I am so sorry for your news. Somehow it hits harder during this time of the year. I am glad you are there for her encouragement. Hardships are always lessened with the love of family and friends. :grouphug:

You will all be in our prayers. Thank-you for sharing.

Lynn,

If you rest your voice and drink hot lemonade with a teaspoon of honey in it, it helps... I used to get laryngitis all the time, but I don't since the move to Orlando!!!!

Renae

Oh Celeste, that's terrible!

Please tell her for Eric and I that she's in our prayers! I know some people with MS do very well for a long time, so I hope she's one of them. This is a hard blow, and something nobody wants for their sibling or anyone else! It would be a very good idea for her to get the name of a good Dr. here from the one there who diagnosed her, as finding a good one here can be a real trial.

you're in our prayers too,
Renae

Celeste

So sorry to hear about your sister. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your sister's family.

I sent you a PM.

Celeste:

My prayers and thoughts are with you (as always) and your sister and family. Pixie Dust and prayers your way each day.

Celeste,

We also have a friend with MS who moved to Arizona, and has lived a Good
Life there..
Sorry to hear this News...
Peter

Celeste,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. If your sister is half as strong as you...she will have a long and productive life! We are thinking of you and all those affected by this. :grouphug:

I want to thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Although I am a nurse and know that most people with MS live productive lives- it easy for me to forget this and only project my vision- those I see in the ICU, who are having acute exacerbations or dying. Hence my despair.

On the other hand- Robb made a funny comment, "He asked if it was wrong that he was more excited to go to WDW in January than he was for Christmas." :rotfl2: Needless to say, we don't have any stellar Christmas plans- working the day before and after AND a few hours the day of.

Nope...nothing wrong with that....I'm really excited about our trip to WDW and we're not going until November....we are having our Table 9 (& 12) reunion and we get to meet Emma for the first time!!!!!!!

When in November of 2006? we will be there for about the first 10 days of November 2006. Actually 10/27 - 11/13. I think.

Scott, unfortunately we'll miss you....we all arrive around (your) Thanksgiving and leave December 2 or 3rd.

hey Scott...10/28 - 11/1. gotta love that DVC booking window.

We will have to do something. Table 8 needs a reunion too. Who serves unbrulee and essence of leeches?

Morning TDC, ok this gives us a date to shoot for..

Peter

KEWL a reunion in the works. Just checked our flights we leave JAC at 7:10 PM on 10/26 and get into MCO at 9:24 on 10/27. Using FF miles as the choices are very limited out of JAC.

We depart on 11/13. The Dive Equipment Manufactures Assoc. (DEMA) show will be at the Orlando Convention Center 11/8-11 so we will be spending some time there.

Staying at OKW , but the reservation is not complete yet as we do not have enough OKW points for the whole stay. Waiting for the 7 month window to finish that up. ( it is a DVC thing)

Just finishing up a few things here at work today (checking the list, seeing who has been naughty and who has been nice, mostly naughty,) and looking forward to this weekend. I love Christmas morning, just like a trip to WDW, I can’t sleep Christmas eve.

Lynn and I want to wish one and all the blessings this Holiday Season has to offer so...Take some time this holiday season to hug your kids, hug your spouse, scratch your pet's ears, call an old friend, and share some quality time with your family. While we all get way too caught up in our hectic lives and work, the stuff we do away from work is what is truly important. Take some time to reflect on your blessings.
I consider myself very fortunate to have made all of your acquaintance. Pretty amazing to think we were brought together by a Mouse. Shared a great experience, cried with loss, shared accomplishments, and laughed together. Thanks.
So as the new year approaches remember..... don’t dream your life, live your dream.
