I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

You have all been in my heart as I watched the Disney Christmas Parade this morning. I loved the part where they showed the Magic. It was pretty cool.

Robb, Noah, and I finally made it to Narnia this week- the evening after posting the message about my sister. I decided I needed to drown my sorrows in ginger sauce- so Robb took me out to dinner at one of those Japanese teppanyaki places. After dinner, we went to Narnia. We all enjoyed it- as Robb and I took turns reading to Noah. It was pretty true to the book. We are going to start the next volume tomorrow.

I was due to work today, but Robb and I received some more bad news last night. His mother has lymphoma. So, I called the hospital and told them I needed to be home today. We have basically spent the day eating, calling our loved ones, and watching TV. Sitting together and licking our wounds. I'm getting anxious because I am a firm believer that bad news comes in threes- so I'm waitng for the other shoe to drop. But after the past few days, I'm getting pretty numb.

I'm glad we had a wonderful cruise together. It really was the vacation of a lifetime. I am thankful that we all got to meet and spend time together. I also look forward to seeing some of you in September- unless the cruise gets cancelled for a hot tub. :rotfl2: However, like those in WY the past few days have not been horribly bad. 33 tonight- can't complain.

I'm getting ready to go to bed- so I can attend work in the morning and care for others. I think it will help me take my mind off my own problems. Afterall, my problems are nothing compaired to my patients. I am always thankful that I am not a patient- I don't like being on the other side of the coin. (I am also going to take a bath with some of my spa products from the cruise- :teeth: )

I hope everyone is well, happy, warm, and safe. You all are kind and wonderful people.

So did anyone else watching the WDW Christmas Day Parade think that Mrs. Bush is a closet Dis'er???? I mean afterall she was wearing a Dis Green suit!!!! :rotfl:

Woo Hoo!!!! Post #1000!!!!!!!

Congrats Elaine!!!!!! It'll take me a while to get there, but I'm content to wait until the official news comes out on the new repo and med cruises....then our thread will light up!!!

Good Morning All,

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, I did. I got some pretty kewl presents. I still wonder about receiving “Second Hand Lions” from my nephews. I do like that movie.

The pups had a great Christmas and were flaked out pretty early being stuffed from treats.

I might head out to the stores to see what sales are out there this morning.

Didn't get to see the Parade as we don't get network stations.

Celeste,

Please give Robb our heartfelt sympathies! My adoptive mom died from a similar cancer, and I hate to hear about it happening to someone else. Please tell him he's in our prayers, as are you!

Take good care of yourselves,
We're thinking of you,
Eric and Renae

Hi everyone,

Just checking in, things in NH are pretty cold right now. Christmas was quiet, with the exception of the dogs tearing up their stockings, it was nice to have the long weekend.

This Friday I will be officially unemployed :sad2:, my lab is shutting down because 2 of the partners do not want to put any money into the lab for upgrades.

Next week I will be going to Miami for an interview at a lab there, keep your fingers crossed for me.

It was great to see Shari & Staci and Georgie & Joe come to NH for our annual x-mas party.

Nothing else exciting for now, I hope you all have a great New Year..

Bye, Kim

Sorry to hear about that Kim, that is hard. However, I know it is hard to do lab work without the latest equipment- I do remember that from working at the pathology lab at the University of Utah. I was amazed when I went to work at Astra Pharmacueticals how much newer their stuff was.

From NH to Miami- that will be REALLY different culture and climate. Any covered bridges there?

Good luck, we'll keep you in our thoughts.

Celeste

Good Luck Kim,

While in Miami, should you get close to the Bayside Market, I can recommend the Cafe American, good Cuban food. We will be there in February, after our Bahamas sailing/dive trip.

Yummy...cuban food.
Maybe the Magic should have a cuban night as we pass Cuba? I could go for a good cuban ham sandwich.

While we're at WDW this week, we are going to the DVC member update at SS today and see if anthing has changed or anything new is happening. I doubt it, but going anyway. Being lazy and not doing too much. Parks are very crowded but open late and that helps.

Kay,
Be sure to let us know if anything good is mentioned at the DVC update. You are braver than us, visiting over Christmas week!
Lynn

The DVC member update was very short this week. Senta, who runs it now, called in sick for the day and Andy was doing it for her. It only lasted 35 minutes. No new updates at this time.

The weather was so nice during the day but in the evening after sunset, it got pretty cool, especially when the wind was blowing. We stayed at Boardwalk and it was very nice and comfortable this time.

It was very comfortable driving up in our new Murano. What a nice riding vehicle. Have a lot to learn on the GPS and how to work it properly.

Good to come home and get the pets home from vets this time. "Ouch" when we got the bill this time. All yearly shots were due for them. It was more than we charged on our room this time.

Everyone stay safe this weekend and have a good time, whatever you do

I can't believe that you and Scott aren't brave to do WDW at Christmas...based on Scott's earlier posts about how excited he gets at Christmas, I doubt he would even get any sleep on Christmas eve...he'd be way too excited to sleep...I'll let you know what it's like to wake up Christmas morning at WDW 'cause Mom and I are going to be there in 2006!!!! We're so excited....

Just Too Many People for us, we are spoiled by Off Season travel. Then again it could be fun if you didn’t plan on going to the parks. Also points for DVC are very high during that week. But do let us know.

You little bragger, you!!!!!!!! Really, congrats! I can't wait to read that trip report!!!

I'll be off here for most of the next week...gotta finish packing tonight and off to NYC in the morning! Jesse decided she wasn't brave enough (read:didn't have the bladder for) Times Square, so we're going to do a comedy show instead....but just the same, we'll be in NYC on NYE!!!!

Hi Kelli

You and Keith could join us next year for Christmas in WDW.

Mom says if you see Anderson Cooper (CNN) in NY on NYE (not sure where he'll be)...she'd like a picture and autograph!!!!!!!!!

Have fun in NY...I can't wait to read about your trip...I've always wanted to visit NY City!!!!!
