Hi Everyone...

I have spent the last two days running (figuratively not literally) around the greater Orlando area. I now have enough scrapbooking supplies to last me well into the next year.... unless of course I find something else cute. ;)

Elaine: Still in holding. I figure he's busy since the whacko sister and her creepy husband are there this weekend and staying with him. Why don't you go to WI and take Etta's pin....:rotfl: I'm sure they won't mind if you drop in for the 4th of July barbeque!

DD just called and said she stopped at the house today.. and there was a package there for me. Did the pin/map come UPS? In a box? :confused3 She put it in the house and didn't open it so now I have to wait until Tuesday!

Okay...I think we are going to need to find a Scrapbooker's Anonymous soon for Leslie...we have turned her into a scrapbook fanatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leslie...don't think I can make it to Wyoming and then Wisconsin before the 4th....ya I can see stopping in...Hi Leslie told me to drop in!!!! :rotfl: Wacko sister and creepy husband :scared1:

Has anyone made reservations yet for the marathon weekend? If so what dates are you planning on staying? I am trying to figure out our DVC points.

We did get our shirts yesterday, but we are still waiting for the pins.

I HOPE THAT WE GET OUR PINS AND MAP HERE IN THE UK!!

On a different note did they show the Live8 concert from London in the USA and did anyone see it.They showed part of the concert from Philadelphia here.

Hi Ashley

Here in Canada, they mostly showed showed the Canadian concert, but last night they had a 5 hour Greatest Hits show of the concert which included most of the better known musical acts. For the most part, the concert was well done, but I thought it would have been done more like the Live Aid concert way back when with everyone seeing the same concert, whether it be live or on the video screen - not complete differnt concerts at every location and if you didn't live in that country, you hardley saw any performers. I really wanted to see some of the London and Philadephia performers (yeah Josh!!!!) and our Canadian TV station wasn't really showing them throughout the day...I guess that's why they did the Greatest Hits show. Since I'm a product of the 80's new wave music, I really enjoyed seeing some of the 80's bands like Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys and A-HA.

Wow, Dawn!!! I thought it was beautiful, but I never got to see the one on the ship! I was planning on putting it on a necklace, so the clasp didn't matter to me. Was the one on the ship $38 also? I seem to recall that was the price for this one. I'm kinda bummed now, too! The one you describe sounds even better!!

Kelli,
Yes, it is the $38 charm. The charm is beautiful, especially if you ar putting it on a necklace. But it was being sold as part of the charm bracelet set on the ship. I'm just bummed because now I have to go to the jeweler and pay more money for them to put the same clasp as the rest of the charms and this charm doesn't match the set as well as the one they had on the ship. I'm going to call Disney Merchandise on Tuesday and see what they say.

We got our pins!! Now I can frame the entire Panam Canal pin set! I am so glad I have a reason to put off doinng laundry today..lol

:badpc: Don't get me started on that. :badpc:
I decided that I would put up with MTV so I could see some of the "older" acts. I knew that PINK FLOYD would be on at 5 est, so I was ready. However, MTV in their teeny-bopper wisdom, decided to cut them off early, so their VJ's could drone on. ABC's 'best of' later on was not much better. :sad2:

Whew! Now that I am back in character.....
:sunny: It's a beautiful morning here in Lafayette! :sunny:
Finished my walk. Did the sunday shopping. Read the paper and had coffee in the hot tub. Am ready for the day.....meaning outside work. :confused3
I know, it's a holiday weekend, but the little bit of rain we had last week caused the grass and weeds to go crazy.

Everyone have a great day.

Bob....How terrible...I would have thought every station showing the concert would have at least shown Pink Floyd...after all it was their first time performing together since the early 80's. Rumour has it that Bob Geldof called the guy from Pink Floyd and told him he needed to reunite a band for the concert and it was either going to be Pink Floyd or the Spice Girls and the guy from Pink Floyd said the world ddid not need a Spice Girls Reunion so he agreed to it.

The Canadian channel even showed them, in their entirety (I will admit...I didn't know who Pink Floyd was but after hearing some of the songs...I realized I knew who they were but I couldn't tell you any of their names)....I wish I could send you a tape but my second VCR died a couple of weeks ago. If I can locate a VCR to borrow...would you like me to tape the show we had here? Who were the "older acts" you were wanting to see??? I know Deep Purple performed here in Barrie (outside Toronto).

Hi Bob and Lee ,hope everythings going good.
Pink Floyd were really good, also the WHO.
It brought back memories.I went to a free concert in London In 1969,in one of the other parks (Parliament Hill Fields )and Pink Floyd were on about 3am.Happy days of my youth.
Karen went to a free concert in Hyde Park in 1969 of the Rolling Stones.

In fact there used to be lots of Free Concerts in the 60's.Not any more.

Ashley and Karen

Ever since Tony(Aphoenix)went home the weather in London has not been the same a lot colder, miserable and dull today .

Isn't he just a spot of sunshine!?!?! :sunny:

I liked The Who yesterday! Those guys were great! And Stevie Wonder...brings back memories form junior high. Wish I had seen the condensed version....the "real" thing left a lot to be desired. I kept trying to figure out why, if they had 8 stages going, why did I have to see the same thing 3 times? And nothing from at least 5 stages. Only saw Philly, Tokyo, and London. I wasn't impressed with the production staff.

"The Tragically Hip"? Another GREAT group I've never heard of......and NO! I did NOT see Josh....unless it was at the end when we left the house for a bit. I told you if I didn't tape it, Keith would have a project for me!!! I'll go scan the tape now.....
