Ok there are two things I'm not sure I'm going to be able to live without on this cruise, sushi/ sashimi and Starbuck's nonfat vanilla lattes... Cove Cafe just doesn't make them as good....

Do any of my new friends want to see the city where I live????

Well you can tomorrow night on tv. On Sunday May 1st on CBS at 9 pm is a movie called "Riding the Bus With My Sister" starring Rosie O'Donnell and Andie MacDowell which is based on the inspiring true story about the unbreakable bond between two sisters and it was filmed right here in HAMILTON ONTARIO CANADA. I know what you're saying "but you're from Stoney Creek not Hamilton"...well it's a long story...Stoney Creek was it's own city until the Provincial Government made us (as well as 5 other cities/towns) amalgamate with Hamilton in 2001 and we actually fought to be able to keep using the name Stoney Creek so while I say I live in Stoney Creek in reality it is now part of Hamilton.

So I thought if you want to see my neck of the woods, not sure what parts of the city they used but I do know they used our public transit buses in the movie....I wonder if they took off all the HSR (Hamilton Street Railway) logos or not.

Can't wait to watch the movie.

Elaine

I'll be watching Elaine. Thanks for letting us know.

I whole heartedly agree. I will miss my coffee lattes while we're gone but it will be worth it. May be they'll have them in port??? But do we dare drink them - probably not. Oh well.

Very long day. AK event is finally over and I am going to bed for the night. Going to Waffle House for breakfast before heading home to Ft. Lauderdale.

Am so glad I had my laptop with me. I would be too many pages behind to catch up.

Everyone has to get their docs this week. I'll send my brown man to you right away.

We had a productive pre-cruise day. No docs yet but we did finish our sailaway gifts. Amy also received her pirate costume in the mail. Mine will hopefully be here Monday along with the cruise docs.

I searched and searched for some Disney PJs today but couldn't find any. I only found one pair in the entire county and they only had them in medium! The only thing medium in my house is the salsa! :earseek:

I think I'm just going to bring a generic pair and look for some at WDW before the cruise.

After dropping our cruise duds off at the dry cleaners, we came home and sealed up our first suitcase. It's amazing how fast the weight can add up. With only our sailaway gifts, snorkel gear, books, and shoes, our first suitcase came in just three pounds under the 50lb weight limit!

I can't wait to...

- celebrate our anniversary (aka our 6th honeymoon) at our favorite parks and on our favorite cruise ship
- finally meet all of our new DISbuddies in person
- be a part of our first of Disney's "firsts"
- eat all the lobster and shrimp I'm too cheap to order at home
- go snorkeling at three new sites for us
- blind everybody when I take my shirt off
- try (unsuccessfully) to not fall asleep on the chairs on deck 4
- see the new stunt show at Disney Studios
- have our first meals at Kona Cafe and Teppanyaki
- clap when I see where I live during Soarin'
- see the look on Elaine's face when Josh appears on stage
- go back to the Cabo Wabo and eat the best coconut shrimp I've ever had
- visit our 21st Hard Rock Cafe and get our pin
- see if I can gain less weight than our last Disney cruise (11lbs)
- perfect my haggling skills in Mazatlan
- have an opportunity to use the only Spanish I know which I learned from Disney - Permanaced sentados por favor (Matterhorn Bobsleds) and Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas (WDW Monorail)
- go "where the weather suits my clothes" :sunny:

First, THANKS to everyone for my birthday wishes...

Second, double thanks to whoever (a Canadian, eh?) who posted the "other" number for DL resort guests...I was FINALLY able to score a few Fantasmic seats. Sorry I couldn't get them for everyone else but I tried my best...at least some people got them, too! Just think of it this way, order some cookies from room service and go play bingo on the cruise...you could make money, you never know, and you still spent less than Fantasmic seats!

Hey RCostello, I took our horoscope to heart and have 3 pairs of new shoes to break in over the next two weeks, oh, and a new set of luggage. :teeth: I didn't order the shirts either. I GOT CONFUSED!!! :confused3

OK I thought I shouldn't tempt fate so I followed the horoscope and bought myself an iPod mini :)

So put that all together with your favorite chocolate [ice cream, drink, etc] and add new Starbucks liquer :) YUM!!!!

This is very sweet of you Christie. For the ladies I suggest something nice from Coach and for the guys, a Movado watch will do. :teeth:

Honestly, Regina, do you have to make things difficult for the newbies? The same thing for everyone is much easier: David Yurman has men's and women's jewelry! :teeth: :rotfl2:

Hygiene99--we chose to come back JetBlue because of the 3 bag/70lb limit. I am hoping to go down with 1 full bag (clothes) and 1 empty (or mostly empty) bag with another bag inside.

See why I have to avoid Regina? I cause enough damage on my own!!!!

I'm having a cruise "meeting" with the family tomorrow. First on the list, how to pack. Starting with my sister: "No, you don't need a pair of shoes for each day, we only have one walk-in closet in our cabin and it's not all yours!" :)

Hmmm.....somebody back there mentioned Mojitos.....YUM.....found some $3 mojitos in Manhattan.....YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!

Oh hey a question, I forgot!

Is anyone packing something specifically for the clubs? And by that I mean something you plan on wearing specifically because of the smoke? I figure if I wear something there I probably won't end up wearing it again unless I wash it, er uh, send it out to be cleaned (I'm on vacation, Jeeves, where are you? Come clean these clothes!).

I have a couple of shirts I've deemed "club"...just wondering what others do...I figure in 2 weeks I might make it to the clubs more than usual....

I cant wait!!!!!!!!!

Ashley

Got to go shopping today,to replace the items that shrunk in the closet since last vacation ,a real mystery to me.!!

Ashley

It's 1:20 in the morning...I remember when I used to wake up and just have to go to the bathroom. Then it was wake up, go to the bathroom and get a drink of water. This time, it's no bathroom or water...just get an ice cream sandwich and check the Disboards! Is that sick or what? I've got it bad...we need to be on that ship. I know I would be sleeping like a baby..unless I were out on the verandah watching the ocean...or on deck 9 grabbing a cup of coffee...or strolling the near empty deck of the Magic...or just lying awake knowing how lucky I am to be on this once in a lifetime trip.

..Ok..now I need a drink of water and back to bed.

Jim

I can't wait either. We've got some very sick babies right now and everyone just seems to be a little more testy about it and on edge. We ALL need a vacation....

Hold on there! :tilt: When did you take over our stateroom as your closet?

Wait... Oh, I see. You have a walk-in closet in your stateroom. My stateroom is the size of a walk-in closet. :crowded: Yes, I'm having stateroom envy.

13 days! 13 days to go! :bounce:

I can't believe that it's finally May!! It seemed to take forever to get here. Wow! Less than two weeks. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Congrats on getting the Fantasmic Buffet RCostello!! It looks like some Birthday luck came your way. :wizard:

See why I have to avoid Regina? I cause enough damage on my own!!!!
Hey! Don't blame me and now you're talking about bringing a smoking jacket?? I either have to go to the Mall again, or just stand out on the deck and get my clothes deodorized by those gentle (yeah right) ocean breezes. I'll just pick up an industrial sized bottle of Febreeze. That'll do it.

Good luck with the shoe "talk." Please send me a copy of it. The last time that we sailed my DD brought enough shoes to supply a third world country with footwear.

The only thing medium in my house is the salsa!
:rotfl2: Too funny Airtime. At least my shoes are a single digit size. ;)

OH BOY, OH BOY, OH BOY!!! It's sooo close!!

Hi ..its the " other canadian "..anyone who is staying at the disney resorts..can use this number to get all their dinner tour etc. ressies...1-714-300-7526 ..press ext 2..good luck..sharon
