My Disneyland tickets came in the mail today!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Liz

Congratulations Liz!! WOW, docs and Disneyland tickets in the same day. Someone sure sprinkled some pixie dust your way today! :wizard:

Still no docs here in Connecticut, I keep tracking them, and they seem to held up in New Jersey. Geesh, I could have driven down to UPS there and picked them up myself! :rotfl:

Disneyland said 10 days to 2 weeks for my tickets.....I advised I will be gone by then, so I am to call them on May 9th to maybe rush them.

Robin

Hey Scott

Will you and Lynn be joining us for breakfast in your jammies on the 17th?

Elaine

Well if Peter is going as Ward Cleaver I guess I could go as Robert Young from Father Knows Best, or OZZIE Osborne.

Okay Scott....I'll have to go with Ozzie Osbourne because I don't know who Robert Young or Father knows Best is (I think this show may be before my time....remember I'm only 36!!!!)

I would like to bring a small surprise for all our new friends that are on the boards.
What do I need to know?

We have no docs yet....tomorrow is another day!

This is very sweet of you Christie. For the ladies I suggest something nice from Coach and for the guys, a Movado watch will do. :teeth:

Seriously, if you want to bring a little something fine, but please don't feel obligated to do so. :)

May I ask what funeral potatoes are? Sounds scary to me! :earseek:

Since I am many pages behind and I don't know if anyone has answered this yet...
These are also known as Cheesy-fatty potatoes in my family. They are diced potatoes with LOTS of cheese, sour cream, etc- baked. There are more ingredients- maybe a creamed soup of some sort and they are REALLY good. They tend to be served after a funeral or large gathering....hence the name funeral potatoes. Maybe I'll see if I can find a link...

DisneyPinDiva re: Epcot report

Anything we SHOULDN'T miss about the flower fest? Even my non-gardener hubby is looking forward to it.

Thanks for the report...have fun!

Liz C.

Absolutely do not miss the butterfly garden exhibit. It's the best exhibit they've had at the Flower & Garden show for years! Today they actually had butterflies emerging from the crystalis (sp?) amazing! It's in a screen enclosure on the Test Track side. Lots of butterflies in there and I was ready to slap a kid silly who was trying to catch them by batting at them & clapping them in his hands. WHERE WERE HIS PARENTS???
Rose Garden is lovely this year too... as are the murals along the banks of the entrance to world showcase. The entrance topiaries are beautiful... ALL the topiaries are beautiful... don't miss seeing the Tink under the arch at night... her wings light up!!
Okay.. back to catching up

Oh.......................a very low calorie, Utah dish.....................served at every "public function" when you have to bring a buffet (not Buffett) dish. :rotfl:

they are potatoes which are shredded (I use frozen hash browns) and you put them into a 9 x 13 casserole dish. Then you take this lovely low calorie mixture that you have cooked over the heat that includes lots and lots of cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, green onions, a little garlic salt, butter, and then you mix it into the shredded potatoes. Then you take Kellogg's Corn Flakes and crush them and add more melted butter. Then you throw in the oven for about 30-40 minutes and ta-da...........................you are now eating official funeral potatoes.

Green jello...........now that's another story that only Utahn's can appreciate!!!! However, if you have the official original 2002 Winter Olympics jello pin, you could probably have paid for your cruise!!!!

Linda :cool1:

HMM- I have two....maybe I should EBAY!

seaulater said:
Those are not the originals and not even close to looking like them. A cheap imitation and those are ugly!

But do you have the 7 wives for 1 brother olympic pin?

NO- that is not the pin I have. Mine is a jello mold, which opens....much cooler. Maybe I'll have to dig it out and bring it to the cruise.

I do not have the other pin- or atleast I don't think so.

Well, we're are back from our shopping trip to the US.

Didn't end up buying the Tinkerbell, or Eyeore, or Mickey, or Minnie jammies. Let's just say tried them all on and they didn't like my body structure :rotfl: :rotfl: ....so off we went to find some other jammies. Visited MANY stores and we finally find some really cool jammies but you'll have to wait to see them!!!!

Saw the blinking flippy floppy thingies at Walmart!!!!! Love them!!!! Can't wait to get ours from Shari (spros).

Did get something neat at Walmart...something called spacesaver bags....apparently you fill them up and seal them and then roll it up and the air goes out and you can pack more!!!!! Just what I need.... I bought two!!!!!

I'm so excited....I found out we got tickets to the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour at Disneyland and the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet on the 29th. Yippee!!!!

Elaine

Elaine... Joe and I will stand under the balcony.... can you toss us a few desserts down please?? :rotfl2:

At work and it's a knock on wood night (never ever say the s or q words)

Jeff will update tonite since we have had a few new people sign up for the cruise list and some updates on cabin numbers.. actually a lot of updates
