Diana was born and raised in Texas, I was born and raised in Chicago. Somehow we both ended up in California and met on a blind date in 1988. We went to a concert and then dinner afterwards, the restaurant ended up turning out the lights on us so we could leave. We had a great time that first night and ever since. We got married in 1991.

For our honeymoon we went to WDW, we then bought a home in Anaheim, CA and could stand on our porch and watch the Disneyland Fireworks every night. (MissThat Now). Since that first trip in 91 we return at least 4-5 times a year and love it.

About 10 years ago my family bought a parking company in Chicago and Diana and I moved there to help run it. My father and I both worked for the company at the time. Now I work with my dad and 2 brothers, and my wife, who stays at home, but does run a sign shop for our business from our basement. We have about 10 cities that have operations in them so I travel alot handling all that business, thus I can get to Disney many times during the year and Diana gets to go with.

We love everything Disney and Diana was a cast member until the Disney Stores went away, then she went back to just being a housewife. She collects Mickey and the Seven Dwarfs and I collect Tigger thus our logo.

We have a large chow dog named Max who we got in 91 when we got married so he is going on 14 years old now.

This will be our 5th Disney Cruise and can't wait to do more as we love to travel.

Tom

I called Debbie this morning at 407-566-7411 for our REAS. I booked our Palo dinner, Palo brunch, High Tea, and our couple's massage. Unfortunately, we have to miss our first formal night because of Palo but we wanted to dine there on our anniversary.

While we still don't have our docs, I think I feel the need to get down with my Palo dance! :cool1:

Yeah, I know. They look the same. It's the only move I have!

Renae, I know all about Expedition Everest! I can't wait. I watched some of the construction the last two times we visited. It looks amazing! I'm jealous we aren't getting one in California! We will see if you are around when we arrive. We'd love to meet you before the cruise!

Thanks for the number Steve!

Now I can schedule our REAS! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm an office manager at an Insurance/Stock Brokerage firm. I was born and raised here in Oregon and can't see myself living anywere else. As a kid our vacations were always camping and never got on a plane until I was 12 when we went to Maui. My first trip to Disneyland was when I was 18 and absoulty fell in love with it. I enjoy card making, reading and outdoor activities (camping, boating, hiking, beachcombing, ATV riding etc.)

We love it in Oregon. It's beautiful there. We live around 90 miles south of the border and try to get up there a few times a year. There is a nice place in Gold Beach we like to have weekend getaways at. We also try to get out to Enchanted Forest and Thrill-Ville USA near Salem. There are also some very nice animal parks/zoos too.

And how can we not love the no-sales tax and MUCH cheaper gas! :moped:

Hmm maybe the 16th is a good night for Palo. Early in the cruise and should be the 3 regular dining menus still, but then again you never know! I don't want to miss out on something good. I like to kill 2 birds with one stone. I hope they have a good overview of the 2 week schedule (like they do for 7 night) when we get there.

We live about 5 miles from Enchanted Forest/Thrill-Ville. I drive by it everyday to get to work. Have you gone up to Willamette Vally Vineyards? It is right next door. That is where DH and I got married and the wine I'm bringing for the Wine Tasting is from there.

Love the no sales tax but income taxes and property taxes are pretty high. As for the gas, ya we are cheaper than CA and we don't have to pump it ourselves.

My turn?

I grew up in Southern California (Pasadena), went to school in really Southern California (San Diego), then moved to Washington state for a change of pace. When the weather and I proved to be incompatible on a long term basis I moved to middle California (Cupertino), where I worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space. I was just finishing up my favorite project there (self-paced Navy training course for Tomahawk Weapon System) when I was exiled to the Austin area. In the early '80's I designed and had built a passive solar house, where I still live. I retired from contract technical writing in 1990 when I went to work for Motorola writing manuals on 8- and 16-bit microcontrollers. After a strange sequence of events related to becoming certified in SCUBA, I developed further problems with my post-stroke condition and retired from working....
When my walking deteriorated to the point that gravity was winning the war with balance I started looking for a little assistance and found Cash at the local animal shelter. We have been a team for over three years. All this recent WDW travel and DCL cruises started with some fundraising I did for the American Stroke Association, who sent me to WDW last year...Great trip, but big mistake...haven't stopped traveling since. We have met dozens of new friends and, at the same time, have helped people learn a little about the growing Service Dog population.

I am SO looking forward to this cruise and meeting everyone...

I was thinking the same thing! And why on a port day where we can stay off the ship much later?? pirate: As we know from the Christmas cruise... they can and WILL change everything right up to the last minute. There is always a formal night the night of the first day at sea though... I've cleverly figured that out after 4 cruises....:rotfl: so the 16th is probably a sure thing... great in my opinion.. get at least one formal dress out of the way before it ceases to fit.....:scared1:
Note to self: find something formalish with STRETCH that will still fit 12 days into the cruise.....:teeth: or plan on topsiders
