I have been married to DH for 12 years (anniversay on the ship!) We have DS9 - Spencer and DD6 - Becca. This will be our 3rd DCL Cruise and we are loving every minute

Pete and I met working at a software company -- left that company to start our own business -- then got bought out to return to that company. That particular software company has been in my blood since I got out of college in 1984! Pete still works there in software sales. I have since quit working and am staying at home. I'm about ready to start back to work... we'll see what happens this fall. I'd like to do some part time software consulting.

We all love to travel and do it as much as we can. I love to read (don't do that much anymore) Spencer is in 3rd grade and Becca is in kindergarten. They both love to snorkel and are very ready for this trip.

Still no Docs here in SW Florida :confused3

I guess I will go now!
I (Kimberly) am 28 and a Dental Assistant in Naples, Florida. I am returning back to school in June for Dental Hygiene. I have lived in Ft. Myers, FL. all my life. I have been married to Carl for 9 years, together for 11. Carl installs hurricane shutters, mainly in Naples, and has been in the business for 14 years. He is from Flint, MI. We met at a car wash :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Our daughter, Kaylin is 7 and in the 1st grade. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise.

Have a great day everyone

Good Morning Everyone,

My turn. Bob and I have known each other since high school. He is a retired marine turned computer programmer. We move quite often due to his work, but as luck would have it we have been in Fort Lauderdale for the past three years, looking at another couple years here. I currently don't work..just play.. :rotfl2: .

We have three children, Brian (working on marrying the mother of our beautiful grandaughter Eudora), Ben has recently found the love of his life, and Stacey, in the Air Force works in the hospital at Edwards AFB, CA.

We have two dogs, Big the bulldog and Scooter the Lhaso Apso. One cat, Furby the persian. Somedays I think the kids are all still at home.. :rotfl2:

Bob and I love to cook and travel. We love trying new wines and beers (especially belgians and microbrews). Bob loves to read and play computer games. We both love disney, he has been to WDW, DL and Tokyo DL. I have only been to WDW..with my first trip to DL coming up after the cruise.
Of course, my first trip to WDW was for our honeymoon..grand plan (yep, that long ago :rotfl2:) at the Poly.

Can't wait to meet all you guys!

Have a great day!

Cheryl

I forgot to mention my Dsons...

DS#1,age 24, Dave is a mech. engineering student at the U of Utah, his DW works in office administration and has a BA in marketing. They got married last May.

DS#2, age 22, Ben is a pre-med student at Florida state and loves ballroom dance. HIs DW is also a student there, working towards a math degree to teach high school. (brave woman...) These guys got married last Dec.

DS#3, age 21, Nick is home with us right now. He's in maintenance at the Doubletree Club hotel near DTD and is going to school this fall to get his HVAC (heating/air cond.) license. He likes the hotel business, so it might be in the blood!

These guys, and girls now, are the joy of our lives. Once Nick gets married, we plan to take them all on a Disney cruise together.

BTW, this is our #6 on DCL and we plan to keep going till florida freezes over...

Introduction:

Last year I moved from the Bay Area (CA) to Kentucky (my home state) after taking an early retirement. In my working life, I was a Disaster Recovery Coordinator/Business Analyst/Technical Writer for a major commercial mortgage company. I loved my work, but my nasty old blood pressure got the better of me. I came back to Louisville to be close to my DSon (32) and DSister.

I first went to WDW in 1988 and immediately became fascinated with the Disney Way: the art, the quality standards, anthropological impact on culture, and the unvarnished relapse into childlike enjoyment. Being fascinated with computers as well, it wasn’t too long before I found computer communities filled with folks who shared my enthusiasm.

My Disney friendships have helped round out my social life and provided me with an added opportunity to form strong, caring bonds with others. They brighten my day with their companionship, humor, and wit.

I enjoy science, music, art, cooking, reading, and gemstones---oh and do love the gemstones, both the science and the art of their creation. I’m always curious and eager to travel, and just as eager to find the nearest spa. My Momma used to call me a “hot house rose”, but most of my friends think of me as a Steel Magnolia. Even my 10 years in California couldn’t compromise my Southern Belle predilections. In college, my major was Communications, but my heart was in anthropology, psychology, and comparative religious studies.

I love good friends, smooth bourbon, sweet tomatoes, old dogs, gentle men, and silly jokes. I cry at sappy commercials, beautiful vistas, and The National Anthem. I’m single and happy that way…but I sure wouldn’t turn down a good man if God sent me one. I guess, I’m just an over the hill, independent, Southern woman with cats. All I’m truly sure of is - I’m happy to wake up alive every morning. It’s such a blessing.

I guess it's our turn. Amy is an Office Manager at the local university. I'm a Network Administrator at the local utility.

We will be celebrating our 6th anniversary on the cruise! We went on our first Disney cruise last year for our anniversary. After snorkeling only once before in Maui, we really got hooked on it during our Western Caribbean cruise.

Before that, we sailed on Princess twice - through the Alaskan Inside Passage and Mexican Riviera.

We too are lovers of all things Disney. We made our first trip to WDW together for our honeymoon in 1999. We have been there twice more since. We also go to Disneyland once a year.

My favorite hobby is travelling around the country riding roller coasters. I've been a coaster enthusiast for about eight years now and have met some great people from all around the country and have been to some fantastic parks.

We just recently got into scrapbooking. It is a great way to help us re-experience our trips together.

I guess that's it!

I just called MS to see if I could switch from OKW to POFQ and it is all booked up for the night.

So, we'll stay at OKW and that is okay. I love that place also. Will see everyone at SSR for the get together about 5 pm????

Is the time definitely set yet??
