We leave for our 5 mile dog walk and you guys chat up a storm. Gotta love this group. My road trip starts tomorrow and looks like I will be out about 7 days.

Chat up a storm? Chat up a storm? Today was a Category 3 hurricane. I went to work and got back to 10 pages of posts. I'm exhausted reading everything. :faint:

Scott, if you are gone for 7 days, you'll catch up about 4 days into the cruise. Let us know how close we were to being right on some stuff.

Welcome new members. Congratulations birthday / anniversay folk. :cake: Those taking tests, you'll do fine. Jenn & Jeff, I hope you can function on a few hours sleep. You are going to get flooded with room numbers soon. And to those waiting for pins, hats off to Susan and Robin for keeping track of everything. :worship:

I'm off to bed. When I wake up, I'm sure there will be 10 more pages of posts to read. We all need to get a hobby. :rotfl: Latch-hook rug making anyone?

Randall

:earsboy:

I loose cable service for a day and I'm pages and pages behind!

Happy Birthday Rebecca! :cake:

Happy Anniversary Ken & Shari  Kimberly & Carl :love2:

Welcome to all the new cruisers! Now maybe I won't be alone trying to get everything done in the last couple of weeks. I told DH we should get the suitcases out and his comment was "it's way too soon for that"

Georgie, prayers and pixie dust being sent your way. :wizard:

Robin, Just another thing to look forward to... getting the first glimpse of the pins on the ship. If they cut it too close we can have a sort and package party on board!

Lynda, if you don't post a picture of your house - bring one with you so we can check it out.

Doc's being printed now :earseek: HOW EXCITING!

Peter, I'm with Debbie. What's up with that?
:cloud9: ;)

Lynda,

ooo, a top!

I thought we only have the neighbors from H*#&... They actually built 8 feet onto our property and then we had to spend 5K dollars to get them off. This was one of the minor things that they have done... Stand your ground girl !!!

Bye, Kim

I did..Been here 20 years now...It wasn't my only tangle with the neighborhood association...just the first...
I actually don't have next door neighbors...Bought 5+ acres and built on the ravine side of it...Just call me cautious...only have someone behind me...The neighborhood black sheep. The guy's a nut...His wife invented clumping cat litter...

Sorry to hear about your neighbors...best to avoid 'em but I think my backyard neighbors have done the same to me...

If you are considering ordering your Disneyland tickets from Disney- DON'T.

Go to www.hotwiresavingsclub.com- get the free trial. You can save 10% and they are the same tickets with the $10 ESPN and early entry. Shipping is free- mine took 5 days and were delivered by DHL.
Just a thought!

(I am just trying to catch up with all of you...so I will post a bunch at one time :earsboy: )

I have a techy question......

My computer will not let me into disneyland.com.... or really any of the parks websites. When I go to them they shut my browser down completely. I can go to disney.com, but that is it.

Anyone have any ideas?!?!? I really want to order my tickets online, but my computer won't let me.

Debbie

Randall, luckily I will have my laptop with me so should not get too far behind. Holiday Inn’s are getting pretty good wireless service these days. So I should be set.

My co-workers know I am nuts, but every now and then it is a good thing. Should help me out during the middle of next week.

Bob, great mix, Bimini Twist covers a pretty special place for us, add to that One Particular Harbor, I’d swear that song was written about Alice Town on North Bimini, even though I know it wasn’t, it sure fits it to a tee. Pirate Looks at 40+ these days sure fits me.

I would add Key Largo, kinda fits Lynn and I, Actually a Red Sovine (sp) song “ Jackson Hole Wyoming is the Coldest Place I know) fits better. After Lynn and I met she moved here to Wyoming so we could be together. A day after she arrived the temps went to –64 and stayed there for a week. Wow that was back in the winter of 78-79.

Will we be far enough south to see the Southern Cross? It was well after dark when we landed in Tanzania and my first thoughts were to find the Southern Cross and there it was for me to see on the Far Side of the World. I woke up beneath the African Sky just me and my Swiss Army Knife. Wish I could take that knife with us as together we have had some pretty neat adventures.

I will be printing out a sky map for this trip after the first of May and will check out the southern hemisphere just incase. The site is www.skymaps.com should anyone be interested.

Gotta go into my office tonight and send myself some emails, with work documents. New system with no access from the net. Makes working and travel kinda difficult.

Georgie-
I know I am new to the group- but not new to test taking.
After taking the GRE and the NCLEX (the test to become a registered nurse) and all the current tests for grad school-
Just remember-
Always go with your first instinct. If you change your answer or over think it- it will probably be wrong.

Hope this helps!

;)

It is my understanding that we should be able to see it. Course, my "pretty sure" information could be off also.

Bob, Just checked the charts and our southern most lat will be about N 7 degrees. Time for some research, the game is afoot, oops I am supposed to say that at work not here.

Could have added "Back to the Island". For some reason, at the adult beach at castaway cay, they play "He Went to Paris".
pirate: Considering this crew, maybe "Send Lawyers, Guns and Money". pirate:
Then if one was drving down to port, then the "I-95 Song" may be appropriate.
Thank goodness I have a mp3 player to listen to everywhere else. :)
I can listen to everything.

Georgie, We're behind you ....
Tried reverse M&M for Billy. Looks good. Krinkled in the dryer since I didn't turn it inside out.
Welcome to all the newbies. Celeste, Angela and I are both internal medicine. Think we might have a meet for CME???/ :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Maybe CPR training?
Don't forget to order your shirts.

says the following- JB: European explorers sailing south of the equator discovered this fact as well. They watched the Big Dipper -- the signature star formation of our northern skies -- disappear to the north. Meanwhile, the most famous Southern Hemisphere constellation -- Crux also known as the Southern Cross -- came into view in the south.

DB: But it is possible for the Big Dipper and the Southern Cross to shine in the same sky. On May evenings, the Big Dipper and the Cross reach their highest points in the night sky in concert. At this magical evening hour, the Southern Cross can be seen at latitudes as far north as southern Florida or Texas.

JB: At the same time, the Big Dipper can be seen all the way south to mid-Australia. For star charts showing the Big Dipper and Southern Cross, come to earthsky.org. .

Hope they're right..."when you've seen the Southern Cross, you understand just why you've come this way" :rolleyes1

That would be awesome to see the Southern Cross again. Last time we saw it was in the outback of Australia... it's amazing how bright the stars are when you're thousands of miles from the nearest city and light pollution...

Georgie,

Keep your head up :goodvibes You can do anything you set your mind to!

We will all be sending good vibes to you from now until Saturday!

BEST OF LUCK! :wizard:

Pretty much found the same info, sounds like we have a night time mission. Off to earthsky.org. So true Jen ya gotta get away from the city lights to see the neat stuff.

So if we rise early...and stay up late, when do we sleep. I'm too old for that. :rotfl:
late now. night.

I could teach the O2 and CPR and AED stuff if ya want. LOL

Went back to Bob's list as I was curious and wanted to see if I knew his #1

Nope. ;)

Wow!! I go out of town for a few days and have 28 pages to catch up on!

Welcome to all the new cruisers! With all the planning/research I've done over the last year, I have no idea how I'd be able to get everything ready in just a month???

I did make it to Wal-mart today and found my blinkie flippie floppie thingies -- had such a hard time deciding what color...

Sounds like we have a growing list of medical personel on the cruise(Mechelle and I are both RRT's)--may come in handy for drunken Twister!

Someone asked about private transfers from LA port to DL area hotels. We have booked exclusive van service through Supershuttle. I don't have the price with me right now but it was a good bit cheaper than private car service and the only difference is that we have a van to ourselves instead of a car to ourselves(more room for luggage :) ).

Liz
a.k.a. Dirty Ethel Vane

In 28 days 9 hours and 35 minutes we will be heading to Florida

Had teeth pulled and discussed implants but decided not to go that route. Many $$'s involved.

:sunny: Sending some sunshine your way...even tho by the time you get this, you'll have been back to work already.....

I've worked 12+ hours both yesterday and today, and get on here to over 200 emails.....KNOCK IT OFF~~~!!! :sad2: How will I ever survive these next few weeks?!?!?!?
