Debbie

had to come back to room and rest a little. then off to Animal Kingdom at 6:30 pm (approx.) and back around 11 pm,

Long day - so had to come back and find more engergy.

while at the AK event today to pick up merchandise, I met up with

TapandDap

Littlekid58 and her crew of six others

Taggnutt

Tried to find Ken P. and missed him also

Tried to meet up with Ranae - she wasn't at work - so missed her

Also met up with others that are going, that I know, but they are not on our master list or "with us". Their mistake............

SAW THE "HUBCAP" pin also in person. ABSOLUTELY fabulous and very large. Actually it is hugh.

It is LE 1000 and is $65.00 - took pic of it but don't have my download base to take it off the digital camera with me.

Epcot report:
Rode Soarin' this morning... amazingly almost no wait and fast passes were in use! Awesome attraction. Same as in CA... just a different lead in storyline.
The Newly refurbished Seasons food court at The Land was also open. REALLY nice, much better menu's and nice self serve layout similar to POP Century food court.
Now it's off to DTD for some shopping and dinner at Earl of Sandwhich... YUM.
Is it just me :scratchin or am I always talking about eating.... or drinking...:drinking1
Those of you that will be here right before the cruise... The Mexico pavillion has some great sales going on..... get your souvenirs here and ship them home.....LOL No one will know the difference!!!

I will update "progression trekkers" when I return home Sunday afternoon.

A few more added

UGG!! That means even more folks in the pin line!

They are potatoes which are shredded (I use frozen hash browns) and you put them into a 9 x 13 casserole dish. Then you take this lovely low calorie mixture that you have cooked over the heat that includes lots and lots of cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, green onions, a little garlic salt, butter, and then you mix it into the shredded potatoes. Then you take Kellogg's Corn Flakes and crush them and add more melted butter. Then you throw in the oven for about 30-40 minutes and ta-da...........................you are now eating official funeral potatoes.
Linda :cool1:

So you want a competition on weird local food items? I can beat everyone on this board hand down.

Rocky Mountain Oysters

Feel free to Google it. About 20 miles from where I grew up is Bruce's Bar -- Famous for Rocky Mountain Oysers.

Our DOCS just arrived......yeppie

Deb - That also means that there are probably only 500 per ship for The Hubcap. I think I will get in line tomorrow. ;)

 Kay... were any of the other cruise pins on display? Any Artist or Captains choice for our cruise?? Did they say how they plan on selling the Hubcaps?? Will they split the quantity between the cruises or are those just for OUR cruise?? So many questions......

Will the "hubcap" only be available on the cruise or will it be sold out even before we all get there? :bitelip:

This may seem like a silly question.....if the "hubcap" is LE 1000, how are they limiting it to 2 per person? (if that is what they are doing) then only the first 500 people in line will get one. How many people would you imagine are on this sailing? Seems to me it would be fairer one per family and order from your stateroom? Sounds to me if we have to line up to purchase it, there will be a lot of us camping out in our "jammies" and sleeping in line the night before :rotfl2:

Y'all are certainly a chatty bunch!
12 days until I fly out and I still don't have docs. I called my TA today so she could check on them -- DCL ones were supposedly printed on the 27th and should be received by them on Monday. If that does indeed happen, I'll go pick them up myself after work on Tuesday. The Disneyland ones, on the other hand, haven't been printed yet at all. I gave up on those and had my TA just switch them to a hotel pickup. Apparently they can print everything out right at the hotel. There's also a Walt Disney Travel Company office in the DTD area, so I'm not going to worry about anything going awry.

Now off to start packing!

Ewww...

Funeral Potatoes may sound funky - but they taste good!
I'll pass on the Rocky Mountain Oysters, thank you very much!

Kay,
How cool that you actually saw The Hubcap!
I was prepared for a higher price tag than that too.
(shhh, don't tell Disney)

Way to whip up the pin frenzy though!
;)

The hubcaps, hopefully are only on the Magic. Wouldn't be fair at all if they let the Wonder cruisers have them.

Didn't mean that they would be on the Wonder...if that happened a riot would ensue for sure.... but that half would go to the Ship of Fools Repo cruise coming back in Aug....making only 500 available for us. I don't think that many people (non pin junkies) will spring for the $65 when a little logo pin will also be available probably for around 10.95 or 12.95. It will be us Pin addicts that will go for the big one AND all the little ones.
