Just go to the disney cruise line web site and go thru the motions of booking a cruise and it will allow you to pick a room from a list ..

sometimes it just comes up GTY. .

Thanks! I just tried it for Cat6 it came up as GTY for deck 5. Hmmm... I would much prefer to be on deck six.

I went to Cracker Barrel after work and ordered his favorite... Chicken + Dumplings (I cringe just watching him eat it... he's definitely a carbs lovin' guy... but hey the poor guy is sick, and after all with 9 years, I though he'd like some comfort food!) Also got him a Coca-Cola clock, which he loved!

Should we be getting $ exchanged for the cruise? I'm so used to using "plastic" We've never traveled to these regions before. Thanks!

From everything I've read, everyone takes the good 'ole dollar bill. You can always get cash from an ATM at the ports. But, you should be fine with dollars for taxis and the market places.

There is no turning back now for me. I just paid for the trip insurance. I meant to do it on Monday and never did. Then, I started have nightmare thoughts about something happening and not having the insurance. Anyway, it is done and I'm ready.

Kelli, sorry I took so long to respond to your question! Just one bottle of wine per cabin for the wine party. Trust me, we will have WAY more than we can consume in an afternoon and still make it to dinner (grass skirts, anyone?).

Kara...that is the truth isn't it!?! We had a community club wine tasting party a couple of weeks ago and we had the BEST time. I can't wait for our wine tasting on the Magic! Of course it doesn't hurt that DH and I LOVE wine tastings!!

Oh, Georgie asked about currency. I agree with Peter (I think it was Peter?). US $$ is what they want most, especially in Mexico. It actually gives you better bargaining power most of the time.

I just typed up an introduction, then previewed it, wanted to change something, and when I clicked back, it disappeared -- not a good beginning, but I'll try again anyway.

It took me several days (more like a week) but I skimmed all 6000+ posts in this thread. My, but you-all have been busy! and I'm very late to this party, hope you don't mind.

I know a few of you from RADP and from previous cruises (you know who you are ) and hope to get to know the rest of you over the next couple of months.

I only hope I'm not too late to sign up for the wine tasting!

And I hope you'll all help me celebrate my 55th birthday, which just happens to be May 14, 2005!

I did that -- but after I previewed, I couldn't figure out how to get back to the compose screen without wiping out the stuff I already typed. See, I wanted to change something before I sent it -- so I ended up changing everything, cuz everything was gone...

OK, now I get it. I don't go back, I scroll down and it's there. Now I just have to figure out how to keep my text out of your quote....

Well, I finalized my cabin and was told to stay up on the May 14th cruise at the boards here. If anyone can point me to some of the key posts as I've tried reading the thousands of posts and am going kookoo, I'd appreciate it. I'm ready to have a blast and will be happy to see many I know. Ken
