Hey, DisneyDreamer8, maybe you and I could have a whitest skin contest! Skin doesn't get much whiter than mine, and it WON'T tan! I just burn and peel, so I've given up ever trying to get tan and slather on the SPF 50! :cool1:

Good Morning guys,

Steve- in all our previous Disney Cruises where points have been used we have never received any shore excursion info. Might be due to the reservation having been made through DVC acting kind of like a travel agent. Info here on the DIS board has kept us up to speed, might give MS a call.

Hi Scott,

Interesting... With our two prior bookings we received the info by mail prior. No worries, everything we need is online.

Well...it is good to know that I won't be the only ultra white person on the cruise...Welcome Sister :cool1: I don't think people will want us together...might blind everyone :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I can't tan either. I have done the Mystic tan but it just doesn't last very long...but it is the only one that doesn't make me turn as orange and my hair :earseek: I always say the only way I would ever tan is if all my freckles joined together :rotfl:

Hi Rebecca - My sister can join us on the list of the pigment-challenged! Hey, maybe that's how we can get some good poolside chairs - the three of us show up, blind everyone with our ultra-bright whiteness, and we can steal their places! Ha ha!

I sent an email to Randi a while back. She replied that she was absolutely overbooked for that day and only offered me transportation to the area and free chips and salsa if we purchased the transportation. In view of that , I opted for the stone island trip and will hopefully get to ride horses then. If not, still have the rest of the island.

I've not booked any outside activities at all. Since I just found out, don't really know what is available.
But I'm sure I won't be lonely and bored :rolleyes1

thanks so much - was just looking for it and you came through just in time.

No chance of that happening...I currently hold that title (i'm a redhead)...everyone will need to wear shades when they see me on the pool deck :3dglasses

PINS? Did someone say PINS?

We've never traded... we just seem to keep buying :rotfl: and buying :goodvibes

They did have a special pin for those on the Maiden Voyage for the MAGIC, but ran out the first night! Since they can't officially open the store doors before they get out a certain distance at sea, due to being at dinner, we missed out getting one (unless we wanted to pay high $ on E-Bay).

I hope they at least bring an allotment based on the number of cruisers and then put a limit so everyone will have a fair chance of buying at least one :goodvibes

For 2 people who don't consider themselves to be pin collectors, we sure do have a lot of them :rotfl:

Scott: Thanks for the update on Fed Ex. That will be the way to go for us. We were talking about packing some extra soft suitcases, but, if we can mail some things back home, that might be the way to go!

Happy Friday!

We bought some on the Christmas Cruise while the ship was just leaving port, I think it was. They now get around it by having a "pin cart" and they manually write up sales tickets and then when the stores open they process the tickets through the computer! I joked with the CM who was selling them because I knew we weren't out the "distance" that they are suppose to be before opening back up.

Ok - conversation went like this with DH telling him about the cruise:

Hello

Hi - how are you
I'm fine - how are you
ok

question for you, DH - would you like to go on another cruise?

I guess so - 3 days would be nice

what about 7 days?

No, I don't want to be on a ship for 7 days

well, what about 14 days?

14 days - that is a long time away from the babies (our animals)

well, what about the Disney Repo. cruise thru the Panama Canal - ending up on LA and then coming home?

we'll talk about it when I get home

Yes we will, because it is booked and a lot has to be planned

SO SO SO - he wasn't too upset - When I told him we were going thru the big ditch - he finally said it was okay and that would be a super trip.....

So, 3Dan, you are safe and won't get the evil eye from DH. LOL :goodvibes

Also told him he had the new name of Larry Flint - pirate: - and he laughed and said life was never dull with me around - told me to leave the rest of the surprises until he gets home.

GUESS I'M NOT IN THE DOG HOUSE AFTER ALL - so I don't have to run away after all. :love2:

:thewave:

Kay,

Glad you're not in the doghouse. I booked the cruise on the day bookings opened, but hadn't consulted my DH. I just said, "Remember how you said you'd love to take a trip through the Panama Canal?" Initially he wasn't too happy because May is prime trout fishing season here in PA, but he got over it and now he wants me to order "The Path Between the Seas".

Yay Kay! Glad DH took your big surprise so well!!! :cool1:

Scott, I think that if we want Bob to wear a grass skirt, we are at least going to have to name this "grassskirt" crew something that has a reference to Jimmy Buffet. Parrot heads unite! Plus that will help me convince DH, since he's also a major parrot head. Oooooo! In fact, I just had a great idea (hope he doesn't decide to read the boards today...) I'll get him a grass skirt he can wear to the Jimmy Buffet concert we're going to in March. Then we'll have it and I'll just pack it for the trip, mumbling something about him wearing it on tropical night with Joe, Ken, Robert, Scott, Bob ( pirate: ) and others! This will work Leslie!

Also told him he had the new name of Larry Flint

Kay, maybe just me but I would change that one, if you don't want the Hustler assoication. Glad the notification went well.

Kara, pack the grass skirt, we can have a hula contest, nevermind the song that goes with it, must be the Larry Flint reference. I am quiting this line of thinking now.

ok - so I have to get a pirate's costume and a hula skirt and two formal nights??? Wonder if anyone would notice if I wore one for all four nights..... :3dglasses
The hula skirt will actually come in handy in August, as I am going to Hawaii, my son just got back from Iraq after 17 months and he will be renewing his marriage vows and, of course, Mom has to be there. :cool1:

Ok, I sent another email to Randi to check on the horses. I *really* need to do some more research on what we want to do. My DD is 6 and too young for most of the DCL excursions.

Kay

I knew Harry will not be upset.......he will do anything for you...........LOL... Did you tell him I was on the ship...

It's in the bag...of course, to get the grass skirt on DH, he may have to be in the bag :rotfl: . Were any of you from the 10-day at the first pub night? He was certainly in the bag then... :rotfl2:
