Yayyyy
Would you take my disposable camera with you and snap a few pics of the countryside while you're having fun?......

Actually, I was thinking about offering to put together a DVD of the cruise - collecting photos and possibly video footage from the cruisers afterwards, making some music videos, slideshows, etc. I'm in the process of desiging and putting up a website to start a little side business doing this, already having done quite a few for assorted family functions. I can make them all spiffy - real cases, color covers, direct color printing on the discs. And I could keep the cost at just a little bit over the price of materials and shipping if enough people were interested. Nothing that needs to be decided now - just wondering if that's something any of you might be interested in.

I have an order I want to put into oriental trading but I don't have enough - if we can get to $60, we can have free shipping and 20% off. I'm at just under $28. Anybody need/want anything for the cruise that I can bring with me on the ship???

Shari-I'll look and see if there's anything I can order.

When I was at the post office yesterday, I noticed that they had mailing tubes for $2.49. The size was 2 inches x 24 inches. When I was looking at it, I decided that was plenty big (2 inches across) to get the litho in from ducky.

Anyway, in case you can't find any at your local office supply store, the post office has them!

I just booked our excursions and on Castaway Cay, all the "single" rider jetskis were filled - for all times! I could put us on "doubles" for an extra $65 per jetski and be waitlisted for openings for singles. All for the first day of booking. And to think my husband thought we could wait until tomorrow to call...

Just to let everyone know, we are still on the cruise, just been really busy to keep up with the boards. It is WRH3MD,Debbie H, WRH4, & LinnyLye. I read on one of the posts my dh name and they were not sure if we were still going....duh, wouldn't miss it!

I am!...That's the kind of thing I did not buy after my month-long tour of Europe and, now the memory of the trip has gone dim, I wish I had it....

Sign me up...

If I do make it onboard, I'll make some nice photos for the DIS crew. Perhaps a panorama of the canal or something.

Sam

Why would you not make it on-board?

Did I miss something? Would you miss the pleasure of this cruise because you snuck one in? Come along, guys....Anniversaries are a great reason to cruise...!

Hi All-

First - Notice this is my 500th post (Thought that was cool....not in the leagues of major posters, but still....)

Second - I have to apologize to those who made comments about there being alot of kids on board , and then I razzed them -- I just got back from the 4-day and there were 2700 people on board ---- 1000 of those were children.........and it was ALOT of kids (love kids (pediatric nurse here), have one of my own --- but the noise, noise, noise.......)...

Third - I may not be going on this 2 -week cruise ---- as I would rather spend my vacation dollars elsewhere --- sorry - I am just Not sold on cruising. My Son would love to go (He loves the kid's club) and when I ask my DH for his opinion, I get "I don't know, what do you think?". I'm not cancelling yet (I have until March 15th to pay up / cancel); but I think it unlikely that I will go and I don't want anyone making a magnetic door sign unecessarily :)

If I DO go - a large part of that decision would be the fact that I think everyone on this board would be super-FUN to cruise with - and that in turn would make the cruise oh so much fun! In fact, I'm sort of mourning the loss of my vacation with y'all! If I DO decide to go, can I still have that Magnetic sign??

Thanks everyone - If I don't make it - Have a great trip!!! Jill

Count me in for 2 copies (one for me and one for Mom). I'm in the process of begging & pleading with my brother to borrow his video camera for this trip (at this point he hasn't agreed to let us borrow it and after paying for teh cruise I don't have the money to buy one!! )

I'm sorry that you didn't get what you wanted, but there's always a bright side. You have 90 days of saying "I told you so." :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Karen, Why couldn't you book the single Eco Tour? What did they say?

They told me this morning that they did not have the "codes" in for single riders on the CC Eco Tour, but we booked 2 doubles that we will change to 2 singles (so we don't lose the jet skis). They told me to check back tomorrow. Good luck!!

Ok, list has been updated, didn't put the new pictures on yet tho....

Thanks Jen and Jeff for all your hard work on the list, t-shirts, magnets, etc... I'm sending a pm about a change on mine, no big deal if it doesn't get updated though.

I understand the reluctance of nasmith to spend the time and money on a 2 week cruise, even if it is on the Magic. The lure of the Panama Canal transit certainly has us excited, as I'm sure it does for everyone else on this board. We did a back to back on the Magic in July of 2003. Except for the excursions and the 15 minutes we spent in the terminal between the two legs of the cruise, we were on the ship for 2 full weeks. I will tell you that I hope everybody understands what 2 weeks on that ship is going to mean. By Wednesday of the second week, we were getting a little stir crazy (and we are adults!). I am virtually certain that Disney and DCL will try with all their might to keep us occupied but 2 weeks is still 2 weeks. If anybody is having second thoughts about this cruise, they should heed our advice and rethink their desicion to go. Lastly, we were unaware that the excursions had been announced, let alone available for purchase. We are extremely disappointed that they are all sold out, according to the boards, without an opportunity to sign up for any of them. Our trip is already paid for and we had no knowledge of any of this. In fact, we have had no official notification as to the itinerary. We look forward to seeing all of you and I am sure we will all enjoy ourselves immensely.

In case anyone else is waiting (like we were) to book the La Roqueta Snorkeling Getaway at Acapulco ... it is now available. Apparently many of the excursions that were not available this morning have been added in the past hour.

When we went on our first 14 day cruise (through the Panama Canal 14 nights on Royal Caribbean May 2003) we thought, oh my, what are we going to do on a ship for 14 days.

Well, let me say, that was one of the best cruises we have ever had. We met a wonderful family who we have since gone on another vacation with! We didn't want to get off the ship after 14 days and wanted to continue up the pacific coast to Alaska, but unfortunately, had to go back to work to pay for it all.

And, having just gotten off the 10 day cruise with the 1000+ kinds, I did mention that there were alot of kids around every corner, however, for the most part, they were well behaved and not a problem. I can't wait for the 14 day, especially since we got in on hour one, day one of booking. We can't do a 14 day trip for the $$ we paid for this one. We got a steal!

Our Dis friends and family (and the new ones we haven't met yet) will be the ones that make this a trip to never forget! and remember, we will have been the first ones through the Panama Canal on the Disney Magic!

P.S. I don't think ALL of the excursions are sold out. I don't even think they are close to being sold out. There are probably one or two unavailable at this point, but I would get on the phone and be put on the waiting list if something you want is unavailable, because my guess is you have a pretty good chance of it coming through if you are on the waiting list. Just my two cents worth!

This is something we might be interrested in. I try to take a bunch of pictures and sort thru them later, but this sounds like another keepsake.
