Updates are done, there were a few emails I couldn't identify who sent them, so in the future please indicate your DisBoard name when emailing us so we know who sent it... thanks!

Hi Lynda,

It would be great if you can sort out your GC/Tropicana transition with super shuttle or one of the other shuttle services that have lift equipped vehicles...so you could get there directly...

However, if you do end up transferring your luggage yourself. I know that the GC will store your luggage until you are ready for it (however many trips that may take) even if you are not a hotel guest. I had to do this once with some heavy shopping I had done in downtown disney and I had them hold the bags until I was finished with the day....I was not staying in the hotel at the time and they were more than accomodating to store my shopping bags until I left later that night ( I tipped the bellguys a couple of bucks).

Come to think of it, they check bags and give you a claim check before you even check in at GC...so they would not even know if you were staying there or not...they just ask your name and write how many pieces. I dont think you would have a problem with that at all...

Best,
Michelle aka NEM

I haven't seen any red strapless gowns. I was busy looking through Coldwater Creek online in between soaking up the water from Wednesday's fiasco with our roof! Oh, the wonders of the internet!

Georgie, I LOVE Coldwater Creek! Funny, I was looking there as well last night, I have a gift certificate I am dying to use!

I was poking around the SuperShuttle website to get info for my self and found this page: http://supershuttle.com/htm/ada.htm it seems like they have accessible transportation. They are really prompt with anwering e-mail in the "Contact Us" page. (I had a reply within an hour)

Good luck!!!

Debbie

Well, I sent them an e-mail telling them the sad story....Thank you SO much for the link...I'll let you know what happens....

Good Luck with that!!

I would just hate to see your "wagon train" :rotfl: have problems getting from GC to the Tropicana :smooth:

They are a large company that my agency has used all over the country with great success. I am sure they can accomodate, or at least may be able to give you some other ideas.

Debbie

I will definately be at the sailaway. Who knows what DD will be doing, most likely roaming the ship looking for someone her age? I also have some ideas for the sailaway gift, just need a head count. Thanks for keeping tabs Disneydreamer8!

I actually use Supershuttle to get from home near Austin to the Austin airport and back and my mom and I have used them when I used to fly in and out of So. California. When I fly into Orlando I use Mears to WDW and the DCL shuttle to the port. Can't beat those luxury DCL buses, though.....

Just got a response from Supershuttle...TA da....Yes, they can shuttle me, scooter, dog, and luggage to the Tropicana. Told me to call 1-800-410-4444 for a quote and a reservation.....
Yayyyy...Will change reservations...No wagon train con mascot. ;) Thanks, all....

Yay!!

I realy feel better now.

Now I just got to get on the ball and make my shuttle reservation from the port to the Sheraton Anaheim.

Still have not made plane reservations, I am secretly believing that the rates will magically drop from the price they have been since they released the dates :confused3

Ahh, I finally did just that last week...Whew! I had to go to the airport and cash in a voucher I had gotten for the pleasure of letting Southwest lose my briefcase long enough to make me ponder suicide, murder and heart attacks...not necessarily in that order...With all that plus a credit for a rebate on a changed to lower-cost flight I got two one-way flights for $40.00 each...WOW!...I can't even believe it...
Now to bed....

Steve, I'm trying to find out myself about DCL transportation from the port to the hotels. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, and I booked transfers back in May when I booked this cruise. I have an email into DU so as soon as I hear, I will let you know. As far as your getting to LAX, there has been some talk of Super Shuttle: http://www.supershuttle.com/
I have friends and family in Los Angeles area, so I won't need service to the airport. Welcome to our group, by the way!

Robin,

Thanks for the info and welcome! I called to DCL today to try and find out info on transportation and came up empty. We are trying for a stateroom upgrade as well... No such luck yet. We fly out at 1:50. Do you know when we will haev to leave the GC to get to LAX with 1.5hrs to spare?

Does the GC offer internet access in the resort. We are flying Southwest andI would like to check into the flight priro to departing for the airport to save stress & time too. :)

Steve, we booked with Primetime Shuttle, for both port to GC and then to SNA on 5/31 to get home.

Thanks guys for the help with Lynn's question. I think she is eyeing a couple of dresses from overstock.com. Being the nice guy I am I told her to get both, a present from me. Come on overtime......

Jen, pump up vit C and echinacia, we are just getting over ours.

Here is a list of folks I have for the 5/13 ( AKA Peter's non surprise B-day Party). I know I have missed some folks on this list, so
If I missed ya or need corrections let me know.

5/13 Wine and Cheese Meet

DVC Minnie - Fern and Chet - 2
Littlekid58 Camilo and Liz -2
Tap and Dap Tom and Diane -2
Lenny and Shelia -2

We have SCUBA classes all weekend, but they are fun.

Thanks Scott! I will check out Primetime. Have you used them in the past?

What time is your wine and cheese meet at SSR? Hopefully Mickey will let me out early! ::MickeyMo

If you ride Supershuttle they will build the airport time into the pickup time.

Welcome aboard! The fireworks are shot during the pirate: Party on the deck during the big festivities. If you go back a couple of pages, we were talking about all the pirate stuff. Many, many, people will dress up as pirates on pirate night, including all the servers and characters will don their favorite pirate attire.

We enjoyed the fireworks during the 10 day Christmas Cruise. It was awesome!

Linda

Linda,

I read all of the pirate stuff! I sound great. I was thinking of being Peg LEg but didn't want to saw my leg off. ;) We have some homework to do in the next 105 days!

The fireworks will be excellent. They didn't shoot them off our past two Magic cruises.

We just bought a new camera for the trip. It was a perfect excuse to upgrade.

Have fun!

Lynda,

Have you used them in the past? If so were you happy? And how did they compre to Mears in FL? I just reread your post; it was $25 pp from the port to the GC. Is that correct?

Hi Steve! I did hear back from DU tonight, and the DCL transfers will take me to the Disneyland Hotel, so I'm sure they also will take you to GC. You should probably use supershuttle or something like that to get to the airport. Good luck on the upgrade....I am on a waitlist since last May just to move up a deck or two, same CAT, but I have never been lower than deck 7 before. If I don't get to move, I am still VERY happy to be where I am :teeth:

I have used supershuttle several times in Austin and once in so. Cal. I have also used Prime Time in so. Cal a couple of times long ago. I've been pretty happy with the service on all the shuttle transports but, as I need a lift van I generally do not share a ride with others so it feels more like a private limo. Mears-super./Primetime...pretty much the same...Only DCL has the special touches...Big bus, video, etc...and I've only seen that in Florida...For all I know DCL could be using vans in California until they get going. Yes $25 one way per person port-to-GC.

I will be arranging transport with Supershuttle or Prime time from my hotel (Tropicana) to airport (Orange County) as soon as I get to the Tropicana. The DCL transfers DO go to the GC. They just don't go to the Disney Good Neighbor resorts...
