Lynda: Hope you feel better today. I feel your pain.

I am trying to find time to heal between cruises before I have my ankle operated on. I have to have the leg bone fused to the ankle bone and our cruise is too close to having it done right now. So I just hobble around with pain and take something to relieve the hurt.

OH - the decisions we have to make.

FINALLY - got my TIVO and computer fixed. TIVO just needed a filter on it where the phone line was connected. When regular Direct TV was hooked up, it didn't need a filter.

LOVE THE TIVO - GREATEST INVENTION IN A LONG TIME. So easy to operate. Even made our 60" TV so much clearer and brighter. Our toys sure make us happy sometimes, don't they. Like I don't watch enough movies.............. more now to come.

I know, I agree - Have just been in Ft. Lauderdale since 1953 and just used to it. Used to live in Germany and had lots of snow there.

I love it when the weather gets cool and we can open the windows and the coolness blows through the house.

If you have cingular/att wireless service you can add international roaming to your account and your phone should work in all ports and through the canal. To verify this please check http://www.cingular.com/cingularworld Phone will need to operate at 850/1900MHz. Tmobile service should be avail too. I am anot sure about sprint and verizon. I was only able to check GSM service.

Just got back from a local outdoor market... Columbus. GREAT BARGAIN PLACE! Got some nice jewelry, but the biggest find was a really clunky (over the top) PIRATE WATCH for DH to wear on Pirate night.

So... ARRGGGG! Me Maities, be sure to ask him the time that night, so he can show off his treasure find!

This thing is so UGLY, it's funny!

So... ARRGGGG! Me Maities, be sure to ask him the time that night, so he can show off his treasure find!

We decided to purchase an upgrade from our original Cat. 6 to a Cat. 4 when it became available. Now I'm waiting for a free upgrade to Cat. 3! A girl can dream, can't she?!

UKIan, did you get main or late dinner seating?

We are traveling w/DD (4) also, glad to hear she will have another new friend on board!

We only had the option of late, but I've requested main if they can change us. The time difference will be really tough for the kids at the start of the trip. 8.30pm = 1.30am for us and it takes a while to get used to the new time.

I think DCL will be more than willing to SELL a cat 4 now, rather than give an upgrade away for free! But, if you are in a cat 4 without a room assignment, THEN, I would call and bug them.

We only got a Cat 4 GTY, no room assigned yet...so no idea what they are playing at?

Hi cruisers,

I cant believe it is getting so close...

I think I may have solved my online dilemma....

I finallly stressed so much about not being able to send a file from my computer on the ship (if I need to) I have spent the last 2 days geeking out and have managed to hack a Treo to function as a modem for my computer so I can connect to the internet wirelessly via Treo/cell phone...actually I am posting this from a coffee shop where I have been all morning trying to configure to make it work...this is so exciting...and even better the company paid for it, so they have a shot at finding me...LOL(as far as they know)

Apparently Cingular says they have some coverage where we are going to be (I am happy with just sporadically) and they have alot of cruisers that come through there for the same reason I did. (or they were blowing perverbial smoke you know where) So, if I can get a cingular signal, then I can be on the computer...wirelessly - BY THE POOL!!!! on my own little powerbook!!!

Anyway, if I am fortunate enough to get it to work on the ship and someone finds themselves needed to email or receive a file, then please let me know and I will be happy to try to help you....

FYI I am a mac OSX user... I just thought I would offer in case anyone finds themselves in a crisis...

I am glad to hear all is well with everyone...I am going to release this Sunday morning table for some other person...and head back home to enjoy the rest of my weekend.

OK, what I meant to ask, UKIan, is where in England is Northampton? I need a . Geography is not my strong suit. If I haven't been there, I usually don't know where it is. So, in England, I know where London, Durham, and Seaham are. Oh, and I know approximately where Liverpool is, having been a huge Beattle fan back in the day.

Northampton is in the middle of England, around 70 miles directly north of London.

It's around 3 - 3.5 hours from the Durham area

I've included some pirate ear rings in the sailaway bags...Not sure how many people will get them...the contents of the bags are all mixed...but if you discover a circle of coins that's too small for a bracelet, loop it around your ear for that wealthy pirate look...

Cash has forgiven me...Kitty, too.....since my new bed was delivered and she discovered the delights of sleeping on a new quilt....
