2005 Planning Video

Hi -
Has anyone received the latest 2005 planning video? I went on to Disneyworld.com where they were accepting Pre-Order of the 2005 Planning Video but it was only for U.S. residents. I was redirected to the Canadian Disney site to order. I just received the video but I'd say it is the 2004 version since it has the same hostess and is focussed on the Magical Gatherings theme. It does not refer to the 50th Anniversay celebrations at all. A couple of brochures were included - a small one that did describe the new MYW tickets but the main brochure still referred to the Dream Maker package and the UPH tickets.

I haven't receive my 2005 planning video yet but what I did is that I logged in on disney.com using the same username as on disney.ca and I got a confirmation that I would receive it in 3-4 weeks or so.

Thanks. It seemed I couldn't continue on the .com page without a US address. I ended up calling Disney and they are sending another one out by mail. Hopefully it's the 2005 version.

Could always have it sent to a DIS'er in MI/NY and they could send it on to you!

I got mine this morning and it has the MYW information in it. I haven't watched the DVD yet, but I'm hopeful it's got some new stuff on it!

I think I tried to order on disneyworld.com and when I clicked that I was Canadian, I think it sent me to disneyworld.ca. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's what I did.

Got mine the other day and apparently it is 2004, although it includes info on the MYW stuff. It is excellent. Very comprehensive and I like the ability to select different areas of the DVD - resorts, parks, etc.

Hi,

I got mine yesterday also and it was the old one. So I just called the Planning Information number. The number is 1-800-323-4822. Hopefully that will get me the new one. They ask for Province and Postal Code so that was positive.

I just received another copy of the planning video - the OLD one again!
I called back on Jan 19th after I received the old video for the first time. I called Disney again last night and they said they would send out the new video. The old video is the Magical Gatherings theme. The new video should be the Happiest Celebration on Earth video.

We also got ours this week, same as the last one as well. I sent in an e-mail request on Disney.com to see if we could get the new one being distributed down in the U.S.

I was so excited because it had the new info but the old video. So I will call Disney in the morning and ask for the new one. Or do you think I should wait awhile until others start getting the new ones.

I'm not sure what the new one will look like but the old one will say "Magical Gatherings" on it.
I would think the new one would be chock full of the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" theme.

The new video will have white packaging with Mickey on the front. I just called because I had the same problem. I ordered my kit and it ended up be last years - the same as I already had - purple with a Magical Gatherings theme. The nice CSR told me that if you ordered it after January 2nd, 2005 you would get the new one. He told me mine will be here in 7 to 10 days. So, I would suggest calling the reservation number to order it because it doesn't seem possible through the Canadian Disney site.

Same happened here.... got the old one. So I phoned and they are supposed to be sending me the new video.... this was about a week ago, so we'll see which one I actually get.
However, I went on to the American website (.com) and clicked on "watch the planning video on line", entered in a relatives address from the states and when it started, it was the same old 2004 video??? So is it possible that they didn't update it much this year?

I don't have the number off hand but it was just the general reservation number. The phone menu gives you the option for vacation planning kits.
