Does anyone have this stroller? It looks like just what I am looking for and has the added bonus of a footboard for another child to stand on. My girls are almost 6, almost 4 and 10 mos.

ANY comments would be greatly appreciated. I am especially interested in info on the 2005 model because I believe they have made some changes to the Pliko (ie: 1-handed open).

Thank you!

We have the 2004 model and love it. We actually own 3 pegs ranging in cost of $280-$600 and this is our favourite one. It's lightweight but sturdy.

However, if you are looking for a lightweight umbrella stroller, the peg Aria is probably your best choice. I believe it is only 12lbs versus 15lbs. Both are totally reclinable but the Aria only has two positions (upright and flat) instead of four.

me, me, me!!! I bought it specifically for this upcoming Disney trip as I think we've graduated from the sit n stand and it is a GORGEOUS stroller!!!!! Steers very well, seat looks very comfy (my 2 year old hasn't complained yet) and I thought putting my 5 year old on the back would make it impossible for me to stand behind her and see/push the stroller (I'm only 5'2") but it works perfectly!!!

I really love this stroller and can't wait to use it in 2 weeks!!!

Thank you soooo much! It looks like a comfy stroller, and I just wanted to be sure I'm getting my money's worth. But it sounds great!

Oh, one question! How is the basket? Is it small?

Thanks again!

I have the 2004 and love it too! It's very comfy for the baby, and steers really well. I think it's a great stroller for Disney! The fold is very easy on the 2004, if it's better on the 2005 then I bet it's awesome! The basket is not huge, but I find it easy to pack a decent amount of stuff in there. However, one of the things I really like about this stroller is the separated handles - you can loop lots of bags over them. Hope that helps! Feel free to ask any other questions - I did a lot of research before buying this stroller and am VERY happy with it! :)

We have the 2004 also and it is the BEST Disney stroller. My dd is so comfortable in it, it pushes like a dream, easy to fold up and take on and off the buses, has awesome sun protection with the canopy and my 2 year old was able to take pretty long naps in it since it does recline back quite far. The 2005 looks really nice too, so I don't think you could go wrong at all with this stroller! :wave2:

Wow, you guys make me want to buy this stroller RIGHT NOW! I can get it on eBay for $250 including shipping. I think that's a good deal compared to the other online stores. If you know of a better deal though, please let me know!

Long4disney....hey, we are neighbors! I am in Morris, IL! :cool1:

We have the model from last year and this new model is so nice looking!!! I absolutely love, love, love this stroller. I had gone through so many with DD, and for DS I really researched and tried out everything out there!! It is the best. It has been to WDW about 3 times along with countless other places and still strolls easily. The canopy completly covers the baby when sitting up, in case it rains, and it is water resistant!! DD is 7yo(only 40lbs)and still rides on the footboard in the back!! It is so easy to fold and carry. You won't be disappointed!!!

WOW, another great review! Thanks so much, Desnik! :flower:

Have a great time on your "first" trip in June! We are DVC members, too. Our home resort is VWL. We are visiting June 6-11, but staying at OKW. Enjoy Vero!

I think $250 shipped is a good deal. I bought mine at BRU for $289, I had a $10 coupon but that really didn't even cover the tax. I can never wait to get things online, when I decided I wanted this stroller (after months and months of searching) I wanted it that day.

www.arunningstroller.com sometimes discounts certain colors if you call and ask. Not sure how much she will take off though. She wasn't discounting the red when I wanted it but was discounting the orange.

We purchased ours at www.babydealz.com and I just checked their website and they have 2004 Peg Pergeo Pliko P3 model for $249.00 with free shipping. That is the one we have in the red and it is the best stroller. They do have the 2005 models for $265.99 with free shipping also. We had a very positive online shopping experience with them. Good Luck with your decision.

Wow, this is the first time I'm seeing the 2005 discounted. We have the red too and I love it.

I have a couple of questions about this stroller.

Is it easy to fold up and get on and off Disney buses with? Could my 9 year old fold it for me?

Is the weight limit for both kids or each kid? My 21 month old weighs about 28 lbs and my 4 year old weighs about 36 lbs. Could she stand on it for a little while?

Thanks

I'm not sure what the recommended weight limits are but my kids are about the same weights as yours (25 lbs. & 34 lbs) and I have no problems with it.

I find the fold to be pretty easy, I have no idea if a 9 year old can do it (don't have a 9 year old around to try it) but I might say no because it does need to be given a swift "lift" to close it.

This is not the lightest stroller around, its over 15 lbs. so no, its not as light and easy as taking an umbrella stroller on and off the buses but it is a much more comfortable stroller for a baby or toddler and the step on the back is worth its weight in gold, LOL!!!!!

Thanks, we can't wait to go to Vero!!!

The stroller is very easy to fold for the buses. Also, the way it folds, upright kind of like an umbrella, makes it easy to have on the bus and not take up so much room. I often watch others with their strollers struggling to close it, while having to go down on the floor, only to have a bulky thing on the bus taking up so much room!! Then here I am and in 1 min. I have my stroller folded, and it folds up to you, no bending down, and takes up some much less space.

Not sure if a 9yo could fold it up, I guess it depends on the kid.

My son is 23lbs and my DD is about 43-45lbs. I have them in the stroller together, DD on the back, with no problems at all. It steers really well too even with the extra weight. DD stands on it for long periods of time and we've never had a problem.

You've convinced me. I'm going to order it today! I really want the Hip Hop color because it will be mainly for my son. He seems to like orange.

For a one handed fold, also check out the 2005 1/2 Inglesina Zippy. I have a 2004 P3 and love it, but I have heard that even the 2005 one handed fold isn't really one handed. Then again, I've never thought the fold on the P3 was too bad. But the 2005 1/2 (not the 2005) also has a footboard for a little one to stand on.

Have fun with your new stroller.

Jennifer

I just dragged the family to Babies R Us to check it out. My husband's concerns are that it would be too heavy for me to lug around by myself with the almost three year old (so we would only use it for the Disney trip and nowhere else), that the younger child will not tolerate the older one riding on the back and that it will be difficult to get on and off the buses. We usually rent, but I thought this would be a good stroller for those dinners on the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney when the five year old is exhausted and whiny.

Do you find you use the stroller a lot at home, or just at Disney? I want to make sure we would get our money's worth before taking the plunge.

I use mine every where! I don't find it too hard to carry or too heavy. And I'm little and not too strong!!LOL

When the child is riding in the back, it really doesnt affect the one in the front. You could even put the canopy up and the baby won't even know there is someone in the back! The only thing is the child in the front has to be in the upright position in order for the person in the back to ride.

It is easy to "lug" around because once it it folded, it can be wheeled in that folded position, or you can carry it by its handle.

I really feel like we are getting our money's worth. I had a Combie that was about $500 for DD and it in no way compares to my Pliko!!!

Desnik, I had no idea this stroller could be wheeled around while folded! That is awesome! I had a Combi before the P3 also, and I agree, the P3 is SO much better!

Stephres, I use this stroller everywhere too. DD loves it, I think it's really comfortable for her. She never seemed that comfortable in the Combi.

:)
