2005 - Gates on Central Plaza mystery

I've been looking through old photos and found some from when we first visited DLP in 2005. I noticed this one of Central Plaza and wondered if anyone knows what those gates are all about?!



I really can't remember much about that trip but thought that someone on here is bound to know!

(Let's not mention the silver space man coats! )

Those gates were there before the area was redesigned to open it up and make the bigger stage - I used to like propping my video camera (remember those anyone? ) on the gates to steady it to record Wishes!
