DOWNTOWN DISNEY® Pleasure Island*
Half-price admission for each Club Member, except for specially priced events.

Yes, it does include alcoholic beverages. I know this because we had a Cast Member with us on a group dinner once, and instead of his Cast ID since we had some drinks, he whipped out his DDE card and got everyone the discount.

Oh one thing on Dining Disney Experience is that the entire ticket has to be on one check. So if you and some friends are sharing a meal, then the folks that don't have DDE will have to reimburse the one that has the DDE card.

Rock on! Looks like it does include this! :cool1:

I just called and got a DDE for myself, I'm so excited!! Now- to REMEMBER to use it everywhere I can! I think I can, I think I can!

I just called to find out about that discount for tickets like MVMCP and such and the person couldn't find any info and help me just yet, but he did give me the number to ticket sales and said they should be able to help me so I will try there tomorrow to find out about that. That is a neat new benefit.

Also where can you sign up for those emails for updates and special offers? I went on the site and there is no "register" to do that with.

Just got off the phone with DDE !!! She confirmed that if I purchased the card today the expiration date would be 1/31/06 - perfect for me as we won't be using it until 1/30/05 !!! They will either fax or e-mail you a letter of confirmation to use until your cards arrive (she said 4-6 wks) - you can get 2 cards - when she asked me for the 2nd name I gave DHs name automatically, fogetting that he is not an AP holder. She also confirmed that all PSs are made through disney dining # (or MS for DVC members) - wow ! this is another great AP perk for us ! :smooth: - Thanks for posting !!!

I am sooo getting one of these with my next paycheck. Is this an accurate assumption that you get 20% off your bill no matter if it is breakfast, lunch or dinner?? If so this will save me a TON of money! Gotta love an AP!

I completely agree that it is about time something like this is offered to AP's.
We have only had AP's 3 - 4 years.
I am wondering -- are these meal discounts something that use to be connected to APs without paying the extra fee?

It is a nice perk. The 20% pays for the tip. It is only good at counter service in the AK, so every place else it is good at is a sit down.

According to the web site;

"Receive a 25% discount on "Day-Of" admission price for the following special ticket events at the Magic Kingdom Park:

Night of Joy
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Discount is only available on selected nights, based on a limited availability, and does not apply to "Advance Sales" admission price for these special ticket events. The Passholder may purchase up to a total of four discount tickets."

Whoo hoo! Great benefits! I'm so glad that we have AP's. We'll be back a lot this year, so those benefits will certainly pay off.

Thanks for posting about the DDE! I will call tomorrow morning and order mine.

I remember the old photo APs. So we've had them about 10 or 11 years. I don't think AP Discounts were ever as good as the DDE Discounts...more along the 10% range, and not at as many restaurants.

Have you ordered your AP through DVC yet? I'm guessing I'll need to get that out of the way before getting this dining card.

Thanks to everyone for this info. I am going to a conference at WDW next month (just found out last WEEK), so this will be great to have! We hadn't planned to go until later in the spring, but you just can't pass up a free trip. We'll extend our stay, so the DDE will help with meals for sure!

Maybe I can get the company to but the pass for me since I'll be saving them so much money... ;)

And the Epoct restaurants were limited to weekdays at lunch only. Of course, we almost never ate at Epcot at lunch on a weekday. I don't remember ever using my AP for a meal discount.

Actually, they asked if I have an AP. My current one expires in May, and Mom had to renew hers in December. We'll get the DVC renewal rates when they rollover.

Others, though, are ordering the DDE card with vouchers. They didn't ask for any ticket tracking numbers.

What about Fantasmic package meals? Can you get the discount on them, they are supposed to be regular priced meals. I saw this thread earlier today and called DDE, but when I heard the recording about having a valid Fl. driver's license I just hung up. I will be calling them back tomorrow! We have some breakfast vouchers but this will save us some big bucks on our other meals.
