Hi everybody!

All this talk of packing is very distressing to me, since I've done nothing else since early October! I must admit right now P*** is a 4-letter word in my vocabulary! But I did go thru all my summer and cruise wear from last year and separated out what I need for the 1/31 cruise. My suitcase is open and being filled as I pack the rest of the house into boxes! Anything I come across that needs to go with us gets tossed at the suitcase in the bedroom. Randy will be packing for himself and meeting us in Orlando on 1/30 - who knows what he'll remember, or not! Last year he managed to forget his swimsuit.

Miss Jilly Bean is very excited about this! When she opened her present (her cruise docs) she couldn't figure out what was going on! She said, "I already know about the Christmas Cruise!" We were saying to her, look at the date, look at the itinerary! She was clueless - about 10 minutes later she suddenly says: "That's 2 weeks from now!!!" I was sure she'd figured it out. What a coup!

We're going down ahead of Randy to check out the colleges she's been accepted at, and to put a few more days on our annual passes!

The next few days are going to be tough as I get each room finished. Randy left home yesterday for the last time as did our #2 son, Collin. Pretty sad stuff. Jill and I have to finish everything else. The "SOLD" sign finally went up today. This is really tough stuff after 27 years in Wheaton, and 18 years in this house.

We are late seating also - put us on the list - Karyn, Randy (DH); Princess Jill (DD-18); Collin (DS#2-21); Derek (DS#1-23) and his Elaina (DFiance-23)!

Ok, Diana has the list going so I am going to see what we can do about having us all on the same rotation and at tables near each other. When I go on the cruise in April I will see if there is someone I can talk to about making this happen. I will let you all know after we get back.

Thanks for doing the list Diana.
LeiLani

We're on 2nd sitting aswell - can we be added to the list. There are 4 or us - me, Paul (DH), George (DS11 - will be 12), Harry (DS9 will be 10).

It will be great to actually know some people before we even get on the cruise. I can't believe I've finally found people who plan their holidays as far in advance as I do.

Hi all-I'm new here on this thread. We are DVC members since 1994. Just wanted to check in and let you know that there are 13 of us, 4 staterooms, category 11. 5 kids/grandkids (ages 1 1/2, 2, 4, 5, 12) and the rest adults. I gave all the kids and grandkids this cruise gift for Christmas 2003. They are all so excited they want to get on the ship tomorrow. We are flying in on Dec 17, and we have early seating for dinner. It's too hard to do the late seating with those young grandkids. Have been on 6 previous Disney Cruises and am counting down the days. Anyway, that's the scoop, I'm already setting things aside to pack for the cruise. As I put away my 2003 Christmas, I put Christmas stuff I am bringing to decorate the rooms for Christmas 2004.

I'll check back soon!

Hi everyone. Welcome Ineeley. We have at the time of cruising a 3.5 year old DS and an almost 8 year old DD. We are also early seating. If you and your family are intrested in joining us for a Palo brunch on a day we are at sea let me know. All the children will be going to the Children's program on that morning. I will know the date hopefully 3-4 months before we crusie. I spoke to the Palo manager and he informed me when we were on the crusie in August that is when I should make all the arrangements.

I am getting together tables for the early seating as I mentioned a few pages back. I have one table of 9 already set. If anyone else is intrested you can let me know and I will get another table next to ours set up and hopefully we can all be on the same rotation as well.

LeiLani, I would appreciate it when you cruise on DC if you could find out as well for me about setting up the tables and rotation. That would be a big help to me as I am also setting up the Palo Brunch which is taken care of until we get closer.

Lisa and Mary Thanks for the advisse for the DVC renting. I will defentily post in the next few days to see if I can get a studio or 1 bedroom for those dates as it will be around Dec15-18. I just am concerned pulling my daughter out also as she will be missing 3 days of school for the cruise. It will be way to crowded and expensive for us to stay after the cruise. We can also stay at the inlaws in Boynton beach after the crusie. We would rent a car and drive about 3-4 hours. We shall see. All these decisions. We do want to hit WDW while we are there. Speak to you all soon. Gail1771::MinnieMo

2 - How many different monorails comprise the Disneyland fleet, and what are their colors? 4: Blue, Orange, Purple, Red

1 - What was the original name used for Disney's Animal Kingdom? Wild Animal Kingdom, but changed because it was too close to Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom

7 - What is "the wildest show in the wilderness?" The Country Bear Jamboree!

8 - During the decade of the 90's, only one year did not see the release of a full-length animated feature. What was that year?1993

Bonus: Name the animated feature by year, that was released each year for the other 9 years of the decade.

1994 - The Lion King
1995 - Pocahontas
1996 - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Disney did realease a film in 1993 but it was The Nightmare before Christmas which is stop motion animation, not drawn.

There are 12 Mark VI monorails currently at WDW - Blue, Red, Black, Gold, Silver, Pink, Coral, Orange, Green, Lime, Purple, and Yellow.

Ok - I need to get a life! I'll leave the rest to someone else.

Of course I had to get the monorail guestions after all our website is Monorail Green!::yes::

Thanks David for some great questions!

Is anyone going to be at WDW the week of August 9? DD and I will be at BCV for six nights, she would love a friend to do the slide with! Once down the slide is good for me. Diana

Diana and everyone else, I guess after 1420 posts and 96 pages that I will reveal my 'real' name to everyone since there are so many Jill's going on this cruise, it is Barb. DH is Jay and DD is Alexa. So I guess you have to update your list.
Also, we are supposed to be at WDW the week of Aug. 6, but I may move that up a week so DH and DD can get more days out of their annual. But who knows, I may keep those dates and renew theirs that week.

So glad you told everyone. I called your Barb in the beginning and got my hand slapped by another cruiser :D

If you think all these names are fun come into chat some night when we have multiple Mary's and Lisa's. The good thing is that there is always only one gaRry!::yes::

How rude of me I forgot to welcome lneeley to the group. A VERY BIG WELCOME TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!

David, your questions this week are very tough. I will have to work on them for a while.

Then the brain isn't really working this week, 1 funeral down for the week and 1 more to go. January is a bad month.

OK Mary,

so you have memorized all the Ultimate Disney Trivia Books that exist!!

You are correct on 1, 2 ,3, 7, and 8

Anyone have any guesses on 4, 5, 6,?

Welcome all the newbies to the thread, and can't wait to meet everyone on the best cruise trip ever....

And nice to meet you Barb, now that you have taken your JillJill mask off... LOL

Wow Mary! Your trivia prowess is great! Me on the other hand have no memory. My DW says that's why I like going to WDW so much. Everything seems new to me because I can't remember what happened the previous trip!

Paul

What can I say - I love Disney and I love trivia. :D

When I logged on earlier and saw the questions I just had to go for it. An hour or so of we surfing and I finally quit! Great questions David - especially the movie one :D It was a nice little mental get away for me. I've got a meeting tomorrow morning at a company I interviewed with about 6 weeks ago. We'll see where it leads.

So who is going to answer the other three?

I'm looking at this as great practice for when we are one the cruise - maybe one of us can get picked to play Who Wants To Be A Mouseketeer!

Mary,

email me your address and I will send out your winners prize. a DCL pin

I will award a second pin to whoever answers 2 of the remaining 3 questions.

Mary is not allowed to win again !!! :teeth:
