Yes, it was an on the edge of your seat kinda game! The first half was really like the Pats of yester year...................... but, they did it and did it with Class - I love how they just stick together and promote themselves as a Team! No one person can do it alone.

Hi all! Congrats to the Pats fans, and condolences to the Eagles fans. At least it wasn't a blow out!

Therese, thanks again for the cookie recipe. We made 5 batches on Friday night, and most of them got eaten on Saturday. I had some girls love them, and others who said "They don't taste like cookies to me!" But that started good discussions about how different countries have different tastes. I'll try to post a picture of the festivities later this week.

The weather warmed up here this weekend, and I think they were finally able to pour our basement. According to the realtor, they may start framing this week!

That is Great Lisa, I would love to see the pictures - and actually I should have given you a background on these cookies - they are like a Breakfast cookie made to have with Tea - hence the citrus flavor and the lightness of it.

evening all, just stopping by to say hi. I can't believe no posts all afternoon.

Hey all. Thought I'd update you on Grandma Lightbulb's condition. She went to surgery today around 2:30. This evening we found out she does indeed have ovarian cancer. The doctor proceeded to take out lymph nodes and totally inspect all inside parts of her. Right now he says he feels very good that he got it all and that she will do very well. Of course, she will have to have scans of every part of her to make sure, but from the surgeon's POV, he seems very positive.

Mike has talked a couple of times with her dh and got the report that his mom is pretty groggy, in a lot of pain and not really communicating right now. I'm sure Mike will talk to her as soon as she is able.

Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers.

Good news and bad news....

no news from Grandma Lightbulb....I'm taking that as good news.

bad news....our school district finally struck fear in the hearts of the community and got a 1% income tax passed. Last November it lost by ONE vote. This time they say it "passed easily." Crud.

Here is the really bad news. Our school district did this 2 years ago. It was only going to be for a few years. Guess what, they are now making it permanant.

And the really, really bad news....they are saying they still do not have enough money, even though the 1% would cure all ills.

Sorry, but don't think it is over because they just got 1% more. They will be coming back.

Drat!!!! My '04 Toyota Sienna mini van had a slow leak in the right rear tire. I have the AWD model and no spare, drive 100 miles on the flat tire. Well I forgot to ask how much to replace the tires . $360 per TIRE. My Excursion tires were only $300 apiece. The dealer promised I didn't have to replace all 4 just the one bad tire so there is a silver lining ( I guess)..

I've been watching cruisecritic alot now that we are starting to get close to our November Radisson. The Radisson people don't post much.

I am interested in cruise info so I enjoy the other site. You know I booked RCI for Alaska, well I just couldn't help myself with a Celebrity cruise. Jeanne wants to try X. We had scheduled Galaxy twice out of Baltimore but her health wasn't good, Yeah trip insurance. Anyway I got a good price on the Constellation out of Port Liberty in October.
