Hi guys!

So much for the 7 a.m. shift....there was a 1:30 a.m. "get up" and a 5 a.m. "get up". I thought I was supposed to be on vacation??!! Just kidding.

Sue, right there with ya on the lifting and all!! I have always been a hair jealous that my mom, unless she was pregnant with one of us, never has weighed over 105 lbs....I am sooo grateful now that she's tiny.

Karen...sorry I missed you...have fun!!

Hi Gus! If you had a Windstar, then you must be a Ford person, so I won't tell you how much I LOVE my Yukon XL..........
Don't know if you read this before, but I had to have my credit card get the money back for me for the Dolphin swim.

Mary...sent an e-mail to the house.

Into bed now....not sure what time we will get the wake up call. All is going well, though, really....so I am not complaining at all. The weather isn't bad...a few little flurries today, melted.
I installed one of those hand-held shower thingies today, that will help with tomorrow's bath and hair style day.....also, the therapist comes tomorrow. Another busy day, which suits me fine....can't stand the down time.

Have a wonderful Monday, and be careful out there if the weather is bad!

You've got to remember, Gus lives in Canada. Motorized transportation is a new thing up there! LOL!!!!

Yes I was thinking on purchasing the largest dog sled I could find made by our Eskimo neighbors.
The 50 dogs that pull it will not fit in my Igloo.
I'm hoping they will survive the harsh temperatures up here without shelter.
Thankfully the seal hunt was successful this year, so they will have plenty to eat. They are going to have to keep their strength up while pulling my new trailer. I have so much meat this year the polar bears have become very friendly and will eat right out of my hand.
I don't like seal meat myself so I will just have to chew on the whale blubber I have stashed away.

The generator ran out of gasoline just after I got back from the cruise.
Campfires are utilized for heating and torches for lighting.
Perhaps the supply plane will have some fuel for me when he returns in a couple of months.

Can't wait for the next cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can anyone tell?

Gus

Nice comeback, Gus....something tells me that you've had to use that before.....

Hi Sue....its a Jayco 23 foot expandable.

Full fridge and freezer, stove , oven, microwave, Air Conditioning, hot water, toilet etc. ( I know some people would say thats not camping )

I did have a tent trailer but it became a pain putting it up and down by myself ( no help from children ) especially when it rained. Had to put it back up again in the driveway to unpack and dry it off.

The new one is a full size travel trailer ( the bed ends are still similar to a tent trailer which fold down)...... I'll pack up the food in the fridge and the clothes in the closet before we go.
PRESTO.........everything is pretty much done and ready to go when you get there.

Sandy was never much of a camper, she is more of a Cottage person.

Now she has a cottage on wheels...........

I'm not liking it too much yet GaRry.

Too busy....not enough resting.
I know its the luck of the draw but it seems which ever truck I'm on I'm going somewhere and often.

I'll let you know in a couple of months.

Hope all is well with you.

Gus

Hi Stacey.....glad you got your money back as well.

I was going to look at the Yukon....they look nice.

I'll test drive one very soon.
Not sure if I want to get a newer and more reliable vehicle, which of course costs big dollars or buy something older ( just for towing ) and keep the van as well.

I just thought of something..........who wants to break down on the side of the road while towing a trailer??????????

Newer vehicle it is.

I can''t remember if the Jayco is a hard sided slideout or the soft sided? I was looking at a 20' with soft sides. I have the Toyota minivan so I must go light. I am still wondering :scratchin why I got rid of my 10 cyclinder Excursion:guilty: . ( Jeanne and Jesse couldn't get in or out)

The model I got is hard sided and the end beds fold down.
When the beds are out they are similar to a tent trailer ( canvas, vinyl and screening etc, etc. )
Mine has a slide out ( it is hard sided ) and that is where a sofa is.

When are you going camping?

Gus

Hey Gus! Good to hear from you!

Sharon/Jim-someone on our PC thread wants to know what time the porters start taking luggage. Do they start up as soon as they are down with those poor passengers departing the ship? About what time? I figured since you set up camp for days, weeks and months ahead of time, you were the best to answer this little question.

There were also a couple of wine questions, and I have sent them your way. Figured anyone want to shlep on 22 bottles could have their questions answered by an expert.

Thanks!

Linda

Gus

Sharon thinks we are going camping this weekend. Since we are staying at a Marriott and not on DCL we are going camping. Anything short of DCL is camping, in her mind!

Kevin, how did the diving go over the weekend?
Pretty normal for classes. One gal had ear problems Saturday, finished the dives but bailed on Sunday's dives. Must have had something to do with the weather. It was cold, cloudy and snowy. You know that the air is cold when there is steam coming off the dive water and it's at 62°!! I told them (students) look! It's a hot tub!! They didn't buy it. :confused3

Other than the weather it went fine!! Set up a tarp around the picnic table shelter and had the propane heater going. It was quite nice actually! I say that wearing a drysuit...... :sunny:

Red believes that the instructor should wear the same setup as the student. They get better training that way as they can watch how you handle situations. So I assume all the students were diving drysuits?;)

You can tell Red come on up and dive here in the middle of January and then "let's talk"!!! (I'd be wearing a wetsuit in Florida too!!)

It's here, we finally got our Disney Survey in the mail. I guess mailing from Orlando to Daytona Beach takes a while!
