Weird weekend. We spent most of Saturday and Monday in the DC area truck shopping but never made a deal. We had a bottom line price on Saturday, and they said they couldn't meet it unless we took the cash back option in lieu of the cheap financing. We didn't, and we left. Monday morning, the dealers general manager calls and says "would you buy the truck for x price?" which was the price we'd asked for. We said yes, and he said, well come get it. Drove the 90 miles, had them go through prep, decided on the add ons like paint protection, etc. go into the finance office where the lady says "here's our finance options." I say, "No, we're taking the incentive financing." Oh, no. You're taking the cash back option, and you can't have the incentive financing too. Hmmm, wasn't that just what we rejected Saturday? When all was said and done, it probably wouldn't have been much difference money wise, but DH absolutely refused since he felt like it was a bait and switch. Since he's the one driving the old truck, it's his decision. So the end result was 2 wasted days!
