We went sledding today! Fun fun...until the one little girl in our group hit the bale of hay at the bottom of the hill that was "protecting" the concrete pillar. Yeouzer!!! A bit bloodied up and afraid to sled again, but I don't think anything is broken.

We ended up bringing home one of Nick's friends, so I've made a fresh batch of M&M cookies. I didn't even have to go away to make them. I didn't use freezer dough (well, I was going to, but didn't know you had to thaw it first) I actually made them from SCRATCH!!! Impressed?

And our honeybells came today. MMMMMM. Life is good!

LOL, Sue, our DD has been wanting to go check out Roswell for years. Ever since the TV show. I know she would be disappointed, though. They delivered the truck, so we didn't even have to make a trip down there.

Stacey, hope you didn't have to get a shot!

Since you didn't go with us, you can't remember but we went through and stopped on the way down to Balmorhea, Texas when we went down there to scuba dive.
We had to stop at the UFO museum and (of course) bought some UFO souvenirs. Some interesting things going on, but not as exciting as the TV show made it out to be.

Can't remember the last time we had homemade cookies, from scratch, in the house. Sure does sound good.

You tell me your favorite, I'll make them when I'm down. Peanut butter? M&M? Snickerdoodle? Oatmeal? Chocolate chip?

You can come home every night from work to the wonderful aroma of burnt (err, I mean baking) cookies! ;)

We will hold a family meeting and let you know.

We also need to talk about menus. I know Nick is hot dog, chicken tenders, and Mac and Cheese.

For you, is there anything you don't want, ie: fish, chicken, shell fish, beef, veal,...... Let me know so I can plan around the "don't want items".

Well, actually Nick is more of a mac and cheese kinda guy. When asked what his three favorite foods are, he'll tell you:

#1 Stouffer's Macaroni and Cheese
#2 Velveeta Shells and Cheese
#3 Kraft Macaroni and Cheese

(are you seeing a pattern?)

He'll actually do beef, chicken breasts and salmon--don't plan veggies for him...he won't eat them. I never force him to eat anything he doesn't want unless we are in the privacy of our own home--because the results are usually very loud and very messy!

The only shudder thing on your list for me is veal. Never been a fan. Except when I was a kid we got some frozen breaded veal patties and made veal parmasan. Although I suspect that was heavy on the breading and light on the veal! ;)

Sharon must be home....you're being nice! ;) :duck: :duck: :duck:

So is Nick pretty regular? All that cheese and pasta sounds dangerous to me. :earseek:

Why do say that??? :earseek:

Now, what do you say everytime that someone beats you to a TOP - you had to answer the phone - or busy in the office...........................

Hope I didn't offend you???

The only problem will be if Jim is around at the dough phase, you will never see cookies. He LOVES to eat the dough. It has been a while since we have baked cookes. Cookies just have not been a part of this house since we went on the Southbeach Diet last year. Maybe that is why I ate so many Chocolate Chip cookies on the Magic.

I am now. Jim has taken Matt to TKD. Matt's class goes to 9pm or later and I hate coming home that late. I make the 8:30 run to the Gym for Lisa every other night, so it's nice to have Thursday's off. Lisa and I used to watch Survivor on Thursday nights. We both miss it. Well, it's off to help her with homework now.

Luckily Nick LOVES  fruit. He eats a TON of fruit! So the cheese/pasta is counteracted by all of that fiber. ;)

HA! Me too! In fact, a couple of years ago my mom told me "you shouldn't eat raw cookie dough b/c of the uncooked eggs and the risk of salmonella." But my argument is I've been eating raw cookie dough for 25 or so years and I haven't gotten it yet! ;)

If you'd rather I didn't make cookies, I'll abide. But if Jim is upset with that I'll have to blame it all on you! ;) ;) ;)

No, I promised to be nice and I am. This is the kindler and gentler Scuba diver. Only you can decide if it is any fun! :cool1: :cool1:
