Checked that one out - looks real interesting - what a concept! There is only one here in Massachusetts - and it is over an hour away from me. Maybe if they open another one closer to Boston I'll check it out. I book marked the site

Thank you Karen!

See, Mr. Scuba....SOME PEOPLE appreciate me!! ;)

Thank you for trying to not hurt my feelings. But it is common knowledge that I DO need help. I'd seen these before....I think it's a great idea.
Especially for the "Cooking Challenged" like me!!

And another one, Jim....

For those who don't know, Mr. Scuba slammed me on the other thread about bringing this up. Thought that stay at home moms should have PLENTY of time to cook and shouldn't need such services! :) Love ya, Jim.

Stacey, yeah, wasn't trying to hurt your feelings....I just know on the 10 day thread everyday around 5:00 you were posting "what in the world am I going to make for dinner??????" :) I go through the SAME thing!

I would like to ask if everyone could keep Boston and New York in their prayers tonight - I don't know if this story has gone national yet - but we are under a terrorist watch

I heard that on the news. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers!

I would say that I make reservations for dinner, but Dairy Queen and the pizza place don't need them!! You'd have to try awfully hard to upset me these days.

Diana, they have at least 8 stray cats in their office, and they have a whole bunch of the tower things for the cats to play and climb on. Mr Nasty Bite was on top of one of those towers, and I was standing next to it. He tried to bite me a second time, but I was paying attention that time.
It's a little red and puffy around the puncture, but it doesn't look like it's going to be any big deal.

Therese......sending good wishes up that way. I'm really tired of all of the terrorism stuff, and it's just not fair to all of the innocent people.

My friend Sharon brought me that bottle of Banfi today.....and like a dope I left it in the fridge at work. Something to look forward to tomorrow.

Mom is doing well, hallelujah!! She even thinks one of her doctors is cute...so she must be doing well!!

And still no Molly.

Signing off...going to try to finish scanning my pics.
Have a great day tomorrow,
Stacey

Karen, thanks for that link. There is one in Tualatin, which is where Paul and Pam live and only about 10 miles from us. May try it. :scratchin

Will keep NY and Boston in our prayers, Molly too. Hope she shows up soon. Is it still raining there, Stacy?

I might have to try this myself sometime!

Paul

Thank you everyone!

I need to go out and get a bottle of Banfi - I am sorry to say I have never tried it - what type of wine is it, by reading the post cruise posts I would think a dessert wine? Also it looks like it is hard to find - I will have to call my cousin, he owns a Wine Bogetta it has been written up in several magazines if he doesn't have it on hand I am sure he can order it. But I just thought I'd get the particalurs from the experts on the boards so I at least sound like I know what I am talking about.

Well, all is quite here in Boston - let's see what today brings..................

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Good morning everyone.

Therese, Thanks so much for the information you posted last night. I still read this thread eventhough I do not post much anymore. I have had the news on this morning since 5am. I have listened to NBC and CNN they have not even mentioned anything about the information you posted????? I wonder what is up with NY not mentioning anything. We live on Long Island and I usually turn on the local news, weather channel and NBC. I switch back and forth to channel 4 in NY. I love Katie Couric,Matt Lauer and Ann. I appreciate the information. Prayers for all.

Stacey, So sorry to hear about Molly. She is in my prayers. Gald to hear your mom is doing well.

Diana-I have not gotton to the post office but I will.

It is 15 out and very cold. We ot some snow yesterday and know he Long Island news is saying it is very icy on the roads.

Karen-I clean but I do not cook to often. I wonder if they have one of those places in NY?? I always use the excuse that I need to clean up after the kids mess and house stuff and there is not enough time to cook. Does not go over to well.

Would love to be on a DC right now. :boat:

Stay warm everyone. Gail

Therese, It's Banfi Rosa Regale I found it in our local wine shop. It's a sparkling red wine - fairly sweet. DW loves it.... I'm going to have them order a case of the 375ml bottles.... so we can drink it more often...

Thank you, gaRry...I hope it works, too...but it's not looking good. No more pets here. It's just too hard. I can't imagine not having a dog, I have always had one, or 2 or 3.......but I'm not going through this anymore.

I'm getting a stuffed dog to keep me company. Think that will help?

Hi Gail! Sorry I haven't written....things are a little rough right now.....

Therese, you will LOVE the Banfi.
Just remember, it's bad form to lick the glass....(anyone remember that little faux pas? )

Off to the office before I go see the doc. I don't think the cat bite is any big deal, but the cold I caught after the cruise hasn't gone away, so I guess I could tell him about that.

TTYL,
Stacey

You have had a rough spot here lately, haven't you??

I got a bit of a cold about a week and half ago. Heard from a couple of people about a product Zicam which REALLY works! It comes in several different versions depending on the symptoms. I got the mouth spray, a nasal spray is also available. This stuff works well, knocked out my cold in less than a week.

VANESSA!

Hi all! I still haven't gotten our home internet fixed yet, and I was tied up at work most of the week. We also had the deep freeze here, followed by a couple inches of snow yesterday. The kids had a 2 hour delay this morning so it would get warm enough for the salt to clear the roads before the busses went out.

Weird weekend. We spent most of Saturday and Monday in the DC area truck shopping but never made a deal. We had a bottom line price on Saturday, and they said they couldn't meet it unless we took the cash back option in lieu of the cheap financing. We didn't, and we left. Monday morning, the dealers general manager calls and says "would you buy the truck for x price?" which was the price we'd asked for. We said yes, and he said, well come get it. Drove the 90 miles, had them go through prep, decided on the add ons like paint protection, etc. go into the finance office where the lady says "here's our finance options." I say, "No, we're taking the incentive financing." Oh, no. You're taking the cash back option, and you can't have the incentive financing too. Hmmm, wasn't that just what we rejected Saturday? When all was said and done, it probably wouldn't have been much difference money wise, but DH absolutely refused since he felt like it was a bait and switch. Since he's the one driving the old truck, it's his decision. So the end result was 2 wasted days!

DS did transfer to the new boy scout troop, and they're going camping this weekend. Yes, that's TENT camping, with a high of 25 predicted, and probably another 2-4 inches of snow. Note to self, stop by Wal Mart for those new winter boots, chemical hand warmers, and extra long underwear for the little guy. Good news is that the serious equipment (tent, sleeping bag/mat, etc.) we already have.

Stace, hoping and praying for a happy ending to the Molly story (and the cat bite). And GarRy, sounds like you're feeling better? Planning 2 cruises will make anyone feel better! Congrats on 25k too!

Karen, good job on the name change. I had trouble finding us too. And KT's page was really cute!

Therese and Gail, I saw the terrorist alert on the news this morning. Praying for that situation too.

Well, that's about it from here. Hope you all have a good day. Kids have the school day off tomorrow, so I'm staying with them. Maybe I can fix the dreaded internet problem and get back online at home?

I can't stand the BS that most car dealerships put people through!! Time before last I bought the truck from our credit union. Which was very nice! Told the guy what I wanted, he searched the Southwest area and found one in Phoenix, got it here and it was mine.

This last time (March) I went on the internet and did a search. Found a dealer in Roswell (South of Albuquerque) and got it from them. Saved about $2500 over the "best" deal I could get in town and they delivered to my door.

check it out! CostCo has a car service as well!
