Linda - almost forgot - something I've been wanting to ask you since St. Thomas. I thought at one point you were doing Sea Trekkin at the same time we were - was it you? What made you change your mind?

Yes, we were doing sea trekkin, but couldn't get answers out of the kids and what they were doing so decided we would do it another time when they weren't with us. From reading your review, it seemed that you enjoyed it. Wish we could have done it. When you were Sea Trekkin we were spending $400 on a new digital video camera/camera that downloads right into my computer. Guess Sea Trekkin would have been cheaper for the 3 of us!!

Was it Leilani who arranged the Palo ressie after Gail left the thread? I can't remember.

ANYWAY-is it Debbie at DCL who was handling this? I need to call the person and see about the private room for the PC cruise. A bunch of us would like to do the same.

ALSO-to start the nightmare all over again------linking dinner ressies....who ended up being the person to talk to and to get us linked and all that good stuff. I know our nightmare won't be as bad since we seem to have a smaller group of dis'ers on our thread than this one. Although the group is growing each day and many are now coming out of the closet!!

I know over the past year this thread has been such an enjoyment to me. I wasn't able to take part in as much as I wanted to on the ship - but DH isn't a joiner. But the knowledge and friendship offered on this thread is something that I just won't forget!

All of the friendly "Hello's" while on board was just so much fun and then stopping and chatting to some of the"Dis" members made it feel like a huge family reunion!

Sadly, I have had computer problems at home and can not access the internet.

I have been on vacation and could not post messages until this evening from work.

I miss reading everyones posts.

Regretfully, I have not gone back to read all the posts that I have missed but one day will try to catch up.

I ended up giving up on Dolphin Fantaseas and complained to VISA regarding "Services Not Rendered"
Approximately one week later VISA credited my account by performing a Cashback ( money was withdrawn from Dolphin Fantaseas bank account )
Hope you got your money back by now Stacey.

I hope to get my computer working sometime soon......

Not sure when/if this thread will close down, but I thought since today is the one month mark since we set sail that it would be a good time to recap some of the things that make this group special.

• I think we had to have broken a record for posts - at least on the cruise boards. 24,000 posts on the day we sailed and another 1000+ since then!
• We had to have had one of the biggest DIS meets on board - it was great getting to meet everyone in person! We made 130 buttons before the trip and every one of them was passed out - way to go!
• Awesome wine/cheese party - thanks to all that made that possible and you know who you are. What a wonderful affair!
• Largest private group shot I've ever seen. The only ones I've seen bigger are DCL sponsored ones like the one for the DVC Member Cruise. What a great memory!
• First group to have their own teen thread! Alicia started a trend and now a number of groups have them, but we were the first!
• First DIS ornament exchange. What a great idea and very well run by Karen! Really added to the holiday spirit.
• First onboard scrapbook/craft meet. We have people stopping by and one woman even asked Linda when the next class would be - and she wasn't a DIS'er!
• Great collection of door decorations. Special thanks to the "elves" who added things to our door and to LeiLani for heading up "TAG".
• Being the first group to get to go to St. Lucia - what a beautiful island. So glad we got to share our first glimpse of the Pitons with some many DIS friends - as well as enjoying the pirates with them.
• Most of all it was smiling faces and always having someone to chat with that made it great. From having fun at dinner, to meeting up with someone on the way to the show or even running into someone and joining them for breakfast. It was great!

So even if this thread is closed and some day long forgotten. I won't forget the friendships we formed while creating it. I'm thankful that we will be cruising with many of you again in the future. (If you haven't already sign up for the 5/27/06 cruise - it promises to be fun too).
