Whoooo hooooo... another bag packed. I've got almost all MY stuff packed now... It's up to DH to pack his and the "accessories" like cameras, wine, etc etc. I know I probably forgot something (like the pantyhose) but who cares... I'll be on the ship and that's all that really matters.
Don't have to worry about airline as we're driving to the port ... but will DCL let me have more than 4 bags??? Anybody?

When we drove to the ship last Jan I only got 2 luggage tags per person. The porter met us at the curb and I really did not notice if he had extras.

Boy, what a day, and it isn't over yet! DH informed me this afternoon that he had two patients develope problems and he needs to do surgery on them tomorrow so he will not be flying out with us tomorrow night. :sad2: So I just spent 30 minutes an the phone with American Airlines trying to get him a flight out on Friday morning. Thank goodness I was able to get him on one. So I guess he will be catching up with me and the girls sometime on Friday, hopefully before MVMCP.

I have all the suitecases packed (except for his  ) and now I need to go clean the fish tank and the gerbil cage. What fun. I need a glass of wine first.

I have one more day of work. Boy do I ever need a vacation! DH and DSs all have work/school on Friday and then we will leave promptly after school for the airport. We are pretty well packed, just have to pack the good clothes in the garment bag. Seems like quite a few DIS cruisers are on their way already. It's supposed to be below 20 degrees this weekend in Michigan. The forecast in Key West is much better than that :cheer2:

Is everyone else ready to go?

I had a funny feeling you were going to pickup on that. NICE!!

Actually I use Iespell running on internet explorer and it automatically added it for me.

There are some keyboard controls you can use that add accent marks as well.

like to show the temp. degree mark, hold down alt and enter 2,4,8 and it inserts the little "o" . Like it's 55° in Orlando right now!!! :guilty:

LeiLani - sorry to hear that - hope that he gets out in time... Are you going to pack for him??? :p

Do you know what time he's getting in to MCO? If it's around 2 - he can ride with DD to GF...

We lucked out. The neighbors called. They made a beef and vegetable soup and group livernaise. Thank goodness for left overs.

Tonight DS added one more strip to his black belt. Only two more testings before second degree.

I feel like I should go pack something since everyone else is.

Congrats to your son. What an accomplishment!

Now that I think of it we had our bags almost immediately the time we drove. Usually the bags are in the cabin when we get back from sail away or are they out in the hall(too many different cruise lines. )

Just pack really big bags. There are no size restrictions, that I know of. We take the big ones and pack them full.

Oh yeah....and......I'm 46 years old.....and now my face decides to break out!! What's up with that?
Don't fret about it - I'm umm.. (pulls out calculator)....37 and I've never stopped breaking out....

However, I also gave my entire face a 2nd degree burn about oh 20 yrs ago when a radiator decided to vent its entire contents when I opened the hood to look.

Stacey I hear ya!!! I thought it was just ME going nuts!
I will be happy to help with the pin choices... I'm always willing to enable another pin addict.... there are lots of cute open stock DCL pins too that won't set you back a fortune like the LE's will.
Don't worry about your face... we will sit in the rainforest room steam room and let the pores get rid of all that gunk... then we'll be glowingly beauteously gorgeous! :wizard:

HOORAY .. I have one bag packed and locked... had too.. or it will explode!
Do you think they'll let us check more than the alloted 4 bags for 2 people??
Thank you! Huge sigh of relief!
Ha...I had to put a strap around one of our bags...it was going to pop. I don't want that to happen.....it's the one with all the secret surprises in it.....ooops...wasn't supposed to tell!

A liverwhat?

That's cool about the belt.

And why pack something? We're not, all that is long done already. Those layabouts. ;)

If not, try to pawn them off on someone who isn't at the limit! Sounds like a good idea, anyway. If all else fails, you could carry one on!

My niece has stopped by so I gotta go. Those of you travelling tomorrow have a nice trip.

It's not a regular radio station, but if you have XM Satellite radio they put it on just for the season every year, along with a few others.

My newer car has XM....I'll have to check this out. I hardly ever drive it, though. Bought it in May, I think, and it just hit 1000 miles.

Are those rum punches, that the CM's on the ship have on trays at the sail away? I'm going to reserve 3 or 4 of them! Can I call ahead??????????

Stacey it is nerves and Stress................ Relax, take a deep breath - it will all be over in a couple of days!

:sad1: We're supposed to leave for FL tomorrow, and my BIL called today from CT to say DH's grandma is in the ICU and probably only has a couple of days left...she came down with a bad infection that's attacking her heart (that's the overly-simplified explanation). This is dragging up all sorts of ancient history garbage between my DH and his dad...He doesn't know what to do right now, and I'm trying to be supportive without making any decisions for him, since I have some issues with his dad (can you say understatement???)...I really don't need this right now, and neither does he. His brother thinks Joe should go ahead and take the cruise, there's nothing anyone can do at this point and she may still pull through (though she's a DNR at this point, and the docs are extremely pessimistic). Joe is also saying that he doesn't want to ruin our vacation, which is a pretty significant one for us -- we've finally put our marriage back together and we were looking forward to renewing ourselves on this cruise. He's planning on buying me a new wedding ring on one of the islands and all that good stuff...this year was horrible for us, and we both need this "starting all over again" trip.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the long vent -- I really feel lost and miserable and confused -- I'm not sure what the "right" thing to do is...

Leslie - Don't Lock you Luggage! If the ships rules (TSA) are the same as the airports - they will break open your luggage if they need to check it. I use the black twist ties that come on the cords of new electronic items to secure the bags - yet they can be opened if needed.
