Morning all. I think spring's finally here! Temps about 60, with sunny skies. The trees and daffodils are blooming. Of course that means the pollen's on it's way too!
I wanted to share a "good mom" story if you want to hear it.
As I mentioned, DD turned 13 on Sunday. I got tickets for her and me to see the musical "Wicked" in New York. I had told her a couple of weeks ago that her gift started with a T, so she's guessed everything under the sun.
Anyway, Friday, I made up a little scavenger hunt for her to find her tickets. When she finally got them, she said "Tickets! Now what are they for?......." Then quietly she says "Wicked??? Mom, you got me tickets to see Wicked???? I just can't believe it. I though it was sold out all summer long? Great big hug and she says "You're the BEST Mom!" I was in absolute tears. The chorus from "Butterfly Kisses" kept running through my mind. For those who don't know it, it's from a Dad's point of view, but one section says "with everything I've done wrong, I must have done something right. To have your hugs every morning, and butterfly kisses at night".
Anyway, just wanted to share! Have a great day everyone.
